ARKOS

Remember when games used to be insanely difficult and you’d end up getting stuck on a level for days until you eventually beat it and felt like a god for a straight week?
Well Arkos reminds me of that, not just because of its unforgiving approach to difficulty and level design where it often just tosses you head first into the deep end of a lava filled room, but also in the way it looks and sounds, because it’s intended in every way to be a modernized recreation of classic FPS games like DOOM and Heretic, mixed with modern voxel based physics, destructible environments and a custom soundtrack that’s easily worthy of the greats.

Arkos plays just like the old shooters with more colorful setting and destructible environment. It’s a shame it offers just a little delicious slice instead of serving the whole cake.
It’s a good thing you don’t play these games for the story because there isn’t much of one here. The Wanderer, the game’s protagonist, must collect ancient weapons and overcome dungeon guardians. This is the only info you’ll acquire, save from a single scroll with a few phrases at the start of each world.

Blood of Darkness
Initially I expected more, but considering the cost of the game - I can say for sure that this is a pretty good choice of indie games if you are a fan of this genre.
If you’re not a fan of the genre - you can’t understand the game, but you won’t be dissatisfied, that’s for sure.

Of course, there are some bugs with textures, something like this, but the game is new and I think that developers will do everything to avoid the appearance of bugs for their players. Moreover, please add multiplayer game mode - it will be much more funny to play this game with friends.
Talking about the game personally - As for 2D shooter this game is really excellent, specific atmosphere, big attention to all details, many options.
It’s a real HARDCORE, as the game is very dynamic, permanent enemies and fights.

Desert Pirates
Lead a post apocalyptic war convoy made out of badass cars driven by unusual characters. Travel across a dangerous and endless desert filled with resource seeking opponents.
In this experience inspired by movies like Mad Max and spaceship roguelikes, you can expand and improve your convoy, find new cars and swap out their weapons and tools, upgrade, repair and refuel them, feed drivers and give out orders to help everyone survive.
How far can you ride?
Features
-
Unlock and collect badass cars: Find cars to restore in every run, and store them in your garage for later use. The desert is filled with hidden surprises!
-
Make runs with different convoys: Change your Convoy to fit your playstyle! Choose between Soldiers with Nitro, Heavy Soldiers with special weapons, start with additional food or gas, special systems like Shields, Radars, Decoys and more!
-
Survive the desert: You will need to destroy enemy settlements in order to get the resources you need to repair and refuel your cars, and to keep your followers fed and hydrated.
-
Give orders to your Convoy: Stay together, or split up! Changing orders on the fly can give you an advantage against your enemies. Light RTS mechanics are gaining traction during development (stay tuned!).
-
Classic Roguelike Features: Permadeath, Upgrades, procedurally generated areas. Every playthrough is different.

Dasher
Still trying to figure out the controls which are so simple, they are complex…
It seems as if it’s a well made game that is simple to understand with simple controls, yet difficult to master.
More to come…

Meteorite Defense Command
Do you remember enjoying or playing the old classic MISSILE COMMAND?!
..If you loved old school Missile Command like I did, then read no further, just go buy this little gem NOW!
I love, love, love this remake of the old classic city protection hit and this game made my new series I call “ZIG: Zaxtors Indie Gold” and earned it my rare “Must Buy!” recommendation!

Impressive and amazing first game for the single developer going under the name “Digital Software” and I look forward to seeing what he comes out with next after playing this amazing little indie gem!

Like the old school missile defence game.
Increasing difficulty as you progress through the levels.
Nice grapics that can really trick you sometimes with smaller asteroids emerging from the blast.

Rock n' Rush: Battle Racing
This is a simple racing/shooting hybrid based on classic games like Atari’s Badlands (arcade) and Super NES games RPM Racing (Radical Psycho Machines), Rock ‘N’ Roll Racing and, more recently, Death Rally that’s about finishing first while blowing up other racers.
There really isn’t too much content yet (only 4 tracks with some variations and 4 playable vehicles at the start) but it’s fun and-in single player mode-challenging, but it’s much more fun if you’ve got friends to play with. Not the kiddies though, as there is some NSFW language (occasional F-bombs). It looks good with a nice metal soundtrack and controls are surprisingly realistic, you can’t just go all out around corners or you might roll over, let alone go off track.

Derby: Extreme Racing
I didn’t expect this to be good. It is not. A student university project. It probably got an A, but you wouldn’t even play it for free.

Slab
I played this game for quite a while hours how could I not like it? Here comes the weird part I did for a bit. However, I am not recommending this game because quite frankly there seems to be a gross lack of effort by the dev of this game leading to the point of it being borderline unethical… also the bugs and oversights. So long story short just get a different game, it will play better and you won’t have to deal with this mess.
Glitches
So starting with parts the people just looking to play a game would be concerned about the bugs

Slab is a rather mediocre 50 level Arkanoid clone offering nothing new whatsoever. The objective is to use a paddle and ricochet a ball around the screen until you demolish all the destructible bricks on that said level and then move onto the next and do the same.
There are a handful of power ups that will help you in that task by granting either multi ball, the ability to shoot bricks, speed decrease, paddle enlarger, ball enlarger, score increase and extra life. The extra lives seem to be capped at 5 and to get another you will need to lose a life first. On the flip side there are negative power-ups that you will also need to avoid obtaining. Mainly paddle shrink, score decrease and instant death.

Astrozombies
Very fun and complete classic platform experience, with secret unlockeables and all the nice stuff of the good ol' days!

10/10 very high risk-high reward platformer with some serious influences on its background that range from old horror films to the most classics of 80’s games like Castlevania
