Love Colors: Paint with Friends

Love Colors: Paint with Friends

a delightful relaxing game. the kids love it, simple concept, a bit rough around the edges, being able to pick your own colour in coop would be a nice feature, as it can get competitive fighting over the same colour. but well worth the tiny outlay.

Positives

+I like the little particles effect when painting a tile n_n

+The little heart containers displaying the remaining color to do are cute.

+I like the UI. It is crispy, and the color choice is soothing (light blue and white).

+The tabs make it easy to understand and continue in progress images.

+I like that the next color is automatically selected when the current one is finished.

+I like the confetti and the encouraging word with changing color after an image is finished.

+The fade in of the tiles when zooming out is cool! You can play with the numbers or only directly with the color without the layout and numbers!

Dreamhouse: The Game

Dreamhouse: The Game

Dreamhouse: The Game, is a game that allows you to get closer to the process of designing and building a house, from the foundations to buying flower pots. The task of the player is to take care of all the details necessary to finish the building. This seems to be easy and trouble-free at first glance, but in practice, difficult and important decisions will need to be made, which will affect the functionality of the property.

In the game, you play the role of a beginner construction engineer whose dream is to earn enough money to build your dream house and then build it himself. Lead the company from scratch, accepting orders for the general renovation of a ruined house, undeveloped land requiring leveling, excavation of house foundations, or the construction of a small hut in the forest up to a real hacienda on a sandy beach.

Some of the features of Dreamhouse: The Game

  • Multiplayer/online co-op mode – cooperate with your friends or compete with them online.

  • VR - Dive into the world of Dreamhouse. Discover VR from an unexpected perspective

  • Photo mode – build your home, photograph it, make an album/movie, and share it.

  • Community – boast about your construction, compare it with others on leaderboards.

  • Unique mechanics - import real objects & export real home projects to use in real life

  • Different surroundings - forest, town, village, beach and more

Every player once wondered, when the times will come when it will not be possible to recognize the graphics in the game from the real world. Perhaps the day has just come when you can see in the game the same things that you see in real life or buy in the store what you’ve created in the game.

Create the perfect place. Plant trees, shrubs, set stones, lanterns, fence, and kennel for the dog. If you want to see how the furniture from the store will look like at your home “borrow” them from Dreamhouse: The Game. Take a picture and throw it into the game. After a while you will see them in the house you’ve built. Maybe you plan to build a house in real life, but don’t have a project? Create it here, export it, print it out and you’re done. You have just created your first home project.

Do you think your customers will not know that you cut corners at work? Not a chance this time. An advanced Artificial Intelligence algorithm will evaluate the effects of your work. Style (e.g. classic, modern, Scandinavian, etc.), cost, speed, and precision will determine the rating of your actions. If you thought that building your dream house is easy… you thought wrong.

Now you want to build yourself a house. No problem. Do you want to build a beautiful, luxurious house, whose design you can copy in real life? So you have a long way to go. Firstly, you have to earn enough money in the game (orders, new every day, limited by time). Then master the basics of design, construction, electrical, and plumbing.

As it usually happens in life. Everything that can be built can be also destroyed. Are you a lousy designer? Take it into consideration that you will build the same house several times. On the guard of the perfection of houses in Dreamhouse: The Game stands Chaos technology. It’s because of it, if you screw up the house construction, the house will collapse. Wrong installations can lead to tensions, leaks, flooding, which can result in an impressive collapse of your dream house.

ASMR LIGHTness - Light painting 💡

A great little puzzler to stimulate your mind. If you’re a fan of Hidden Object Games you may have come across this type of puzzle before as you try to untangle a series of nodes connected by stretchy bands with no crossovers allowed.

Gentle music and soothing lightning make for a nice peaceful game. I enjoyed solving a puzzle or three at the end of the day to unwind. You’re rated one to three stars on completion based on, finishing the puzzle, the fewest number of moves, and then on the smoothest execution/speed.

You can view my gameplay & initial impressions review here (also where I make this really cool drawing at the end by almost sheer luck): https://youtu.be/MvmuQeEZAu4

This is an educational app for VR where you can use block programming to draw 3D creations in VR. This is similar to Google Blockly or MIT Scratch if you’re familiar with those free open-source programs.

Obviously, you can just learn block programming from Blockly or Scratch for free if you’d like and there’s several online tutorials for that as well. However, this program lets you see your creations in VR so it does add something to the table.

Builder Simulator

Builder Simulator

https://store.steampowered.com/app/914010/Train_Station_Renovation/

Builder Simulator is the perfect game for those who want to build a house, from the ground up, one brick at a time. On easy, the game will guide you step by step and allow you to learn by showing you full instruction, but on hard you will get no help - instead rely on your builder skills and make everything yourself.

Builder Simulator will let you:

  • Create your own projects - build houses, shops and industrial buildings.

  • Use different tools - use specialist equipment as it’s meant to be.

  • Take care of building materials - do not let the construction site run out of materials needed for work.

  • Create your own materials - Mix water and cement to create concrete, but make sure your proportions are right.

  • Do It Yourself - do everything yourself, don’t worry about incompetent workers messing your work up.

Castle Flipper

Castle Flipper

i had 9 games on my wish list for the last 6 months and finally one of them came out—Castle Flipper. I love House Flippers and have about 400 hours on it. My first thought was this would be similar, but after reading the numerous negative comments, I realized it wasn’t. There were also complaints that the quests were completed in 10-12 hours and that was also a turn off. However, the Devs responded and explained the concept of building a castle after the quests.

The game was listed for about $5 (i live in a lower priced Country) and after some thought, I decided to give it a try. After all, everyone has different tastes. Boy was I glad. The setting and music are beautiful. I started by completing a couple of tasks and then was told to build my house. It only required a 4X4 floor plan and took no time to build. Then there were 2 new tasks, one of them was to clean up a ship. While that sounded cool, I realized that was the problem those negative reviewers had. They rushed, rushed, rushed. For example, one player I won’t name gave it a bad review saying there was little to do except the quests that took just a few hours. Yet, this player took the time to make a You Tube video of him playing the game. I watched it to pick up some tips. He rushed, rushed, rushed to complete the quests. This isn’t real life where we live in the fast lane. Slow down. Take a breath and enjoy the game. There is no prize for finishing the game quickly. He even commented that it only cost $10 so not worth the time to ask for a refund. What? Not worth the time. It takes less than a minute to ask for a refund on Steam (I know, I’ve refunded over half my games because they were too difficult.) If someone’s one minute of time is worth more than 10 bucks, then I’m in the wrong business.

First off all, I love these kinds of games. Building and maintaining your own settlement is something I can spend many hours on. Saying that you would think I would recommend this game seeing the endgame is based all around that. But sadly I cannot. The idea is there, build your own castle and collect rent. But the way this has been implemented simply isn’t satisfying. The world feels empty and barren, nothing happens beside the occasional ‘clutter everywhere incidents’ that makes you run around all the houses n clean stuff up. The visuals are great but without life within the game you quickly lose the drive to do anything.

Fractal Gallery VR

Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers

Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program

I think this is a nice virtual art gallery. Keep in mind, this is not a game. It’s simply a simulation of an art gallery with fractal art being the only type of art featured. You’re in a cozy up-scale gallery and you teleport around to view the art work, I would have preferred full locomotion with smooth turning as an option.

There are several pieces to enjoy. You can stare at them for quite awhile and move around in your playspace to get different views. If you stare long enough, more than likely you’ll start seeing the images moving, even within the static images. Other pieces are not static at all and you can see the images transform and change colors.

I LOVE fractals! Really wanted this to be awesome, but it is not. I dive in and get lost in a good fractal on my VR often, but have yet to find a better option than youtube on my virtual desktop, with the screen stretched as big as I can see. This “game” is just a small collection of still shots, a couple animated fractals, and a odd view of the mandelbrot set that dose not zoom in or do this piece of mathematical art justice at all. I would not buy this even if the fractals are updated regularly, it just lacks the trippiness I’m looking for.
