Mini Maker: Make A Thing
A hero thing, a monster thing, a robo thing… in Mini Maker, you can make any ‘thing’! Use an arsenal of plastic limbs, wonky tools, rainbow stickers and googly eyes to assemble creations, please demanding clients, and laugh in the face of perfectionism.
Make a thing!
Glue mannequin limbs to robo-parts. Draw on a smiley face. Slap on a few stick-on tattoos to finish it off. Oh, did we mention there’s NO Undo button? Time to roll with the punches!
Make a living!
Fulfill wacky client requests however you can. From six-armed action figures, to fancy meals served from a toilet seat - any request is (unfortunately) possible. Explore their world and defeat your ultimate enemies: perfectionism and good taste.
Fend off haters!
Flying tomatoes, rabid hammers, electrifying eels… Fend off foes in time or ignore them and see what “statement” they leave on your precious thing.
Upgrade your toolbox!
Collect cash for your creations and re-invest it in supplies, tools and workshop upgrades. Expand your inventory or risk ending up making yet another armless Venus de Thingy.
Couch Collab!
Test the limits of your relationships by playing any challenge in 2-player couch co-op mode. Lower your expectations now: you two will be making some butt-ugly things.
Share your creations!
Use the built-in video recorder to share your creations with friends, foes, and the world wide web.

Just, Bearly
I really wish steam had a “meh” option.
The game and concept are AWESOME and the game is really great.
But I can not give this a good rating for a few reasons:
-
It took me about 30 minutes of play time to get it to be more then just a white screen and be playable
-
It crashes once every chapter near the end, this means you that to finish the game I have had to play each chapter just about twice
-
I have finished the game 5 times and have yet to get the achievement for finishing it twice.

Okay, its harsh to vote it down, i know. But hear me out.
1st) i think a game with more than overwhemlingly positive reviews can take it. so lets be honest.
2nd) Game is fun and a good idea, but it does have issues.
Now that these Main Points are out of the way, let me explain.
First off, the game is free, i’d highly recommend you trying it out if you are interessted (or even if you are not, actually) but i also want to warn people about some stuff. Its short - and i mean super super short. Like 20 mins. This isnt bad, lots of free games are pretty short.

Chibi Wars Kinetic Novel
Another set of graphic novels. Not sure where they would be in the “timeline”, but still in Edo, this time with… elements of horror films. Zombies, vampires, and a demoness. Decent enough.

Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler
When I first backed Duke Grabowski on Kickstarter, it was after reading Bill Tiller’s response to questions about the game’s apparent focus on “seducing wenches,” which could (fairly) lead to the assumption that the game might put forward messaging that promoted the objectification of women and promotion of relationships as being extrinsically valuable rather than intrinsically valuable. I feel like it’s not uncommon to see “We’re doing it ironically,” as some sort of all-purpose foil for criticisms of objectionable content, but this message was slightly different, and talked about wanting to put a character in a situation where they were surrounded by these kinds of narratives and pressures and showing how that character could cultivate perspective and reject them.

Very funny and short classical point-and-click adventure game from the people who have brought us ‘The Curse of Monkey Island’.
Now, that was a masterpiece even if it was created without Ron Gilbert, but… most of the later works by Bill Tiller and Larry Ahern turned out to be, well, not so good. ‘A Vampyre Story’ and ‘Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island’, in spite of their similar humor and visual style, were not successful and, to tell the truth, rather boring.
Luckily, ‘Duke Grabowsky’ falls almost in the same league as ‘Monkey Island’! Something just like earlier Telltale projects, before they fired Dave Grossman and switched to gameplayless visual novels.

Virtual Rides 3 - Funfair Simulator
More then a review but a history of my kirmes hobby and kirmes video games…
Since my folks took me to Wildwood NJ at the age of 5, I’ve been a huge fan of portable amusement rides. I remember being in my stroller and seeing the HUSS “Pirate” on Fun Pier for the first time and I was a-gasp at the vision of this thing. I couldn’t believe an industrial sized version of a kids boat toy could exist in real life. Discovering other rides from a childs perspective was just as awe inspiring such as the next year I was in Wildwood I saw what looked like a gigantic carousel however this thing rose into the air and then started tilting around like it was going to fall over. I couldn’t believe this thing. It turns out it was a swing ride, the Zierer Wellenflug / Wave Swinger. Wildwood was also the first place I saw the Chance Zipper, another machine so weird, it’s amazing that it exists at all.

SCP Foundation: ITTLG - Chapter 1
Downvoted. Can’t wait to see this as a tale! -1
Okay, joking aside, as an SCP author it wasn’t… a bad product. It’s ambitious for a first game and was a pretty good attempt. I streamed it in one of the largest SCP discords with a bunch of authors and we all had good laughs going through it. It suffers from some grammatical errors here and there (if you need or want someone to proofread or grammar… I’m available). I know you were trying to condense the story but the start was initially very exposition-heavy and skipped over a couple of details (like the translation collar, assuming it’s from the D-Class uniform). There was also a problem with how abruptly it cut off - at first I actually thought I had misclicked or something! I would actually recommend just ending it when they go to sleep the night before, and having a “Continued in Chapter 2” card so people don’t accidentally think they exited out of the game. The voice acting quality is… dismal, no offense, but reading over how it was a couple of friends makes sense. If you want, you could always get some professional or even more experienced VAs and keep your friend’s voices in by changing sets of voices - but I’ve never actually worked with RenPy so I don’t know how feasible that is.

I really enjoyed the storyline. The art is great and the expressions of the characters are on point. Also props to the voice actors, considering this is probably their first time, as well for the game. As for the creator, I’d say this is a great start of your journey in creating games. Even though it isn’t of “standard” quality, the game was still worth it. Looking forward to playing the next chapter.

Shadow Brawlers
It is the best local multiplayer i’ve played so far, and i’m a big fan of the genre. I think this game deserves much more atention. The animation is flawless, the fxs are from other world, the dynamics of the matches and how you can play in the ranking screen and kill your friends there just adds all the fun. The weapons and power-ups add great value to the game. I’m glad i can easily configure which ones i want to play with and the kind of match. Overall an indie hidden masterpiece.

This game checks all the boxes, it is fun, looks amazing, and has a lot of replay value.
The transition from light to dark shadows allows for this amazing feeling of being a ninja in the shadows hunting down your other opponents. When you find that perfect time where you see them expose their position and you pop out and take the shot has such a unique great feel.
I can’t say enough about how this game looks, I have always been a huge fan of this minimalist comic book art style and they hit it right on in this game. From the color pallets being a perfect muted set of colors to the explosion of high contrast colors during events this is a thrill to even view.
