The End o,,,o
You are a slow-moving pixel zombie who can shoot fireballs and just wants to get home. This is a very (VERY) old-style, slow, MS-DOSesque platformer(?). Very short, very vague, and very odd. Single life- you screw up, you’re starting over. And that dude moves REALLY slowly. Good luck building up the patience. The music isn’t awful but just kind of drones on slowly.

It will likely take you all of 10 seconds to download, so check it out I guess? I say this often- but– give us a ‘Neutral’ option, Steam. I don’t really recommend this, but there’s nothing worthy of a thumbs down. It accomplishes what it’s trying to accomplish.

O,,,O is the sad story of a fire demon that wants to go home. You control a purple undead by using WASD and SPACE to walk, jump, hit next and throw your fireballs. A tiny retro treat that fullfills its simple ambitions. Interestingly enough, this title was originally developed for the C64, but I’m glad a free PC port made it to Steam because now we can all bask in all the glory of its 3FPS. However, because of this glorious framerate, the controls can feel clunky at time – but nothing serious enough that will get in the way of your journey back home. The soundtrack is a depressing 5 second loop, but the enemy deathcries are so jarring they might as well be jumpscares. In addition, despite being heavily pixelated, O,,,O successfully creates an eerie atmosphere that makes the player feel like if they were walking through a graveyard in the dead of night during a full moon. Moreover, the game ends with
! a bloody question mark, meaning that there might be a sequel depending on the traction of this demo. Let’s hope so!

I wanted to like this game but I feel neutral about it. Worth maybe 50 cents and only play it on Halloween. It says that there are no alternative endings but I bet there are depending on what you choose to be in the beginning and I would say that your choices matter, because there was a lot to intereact with that did NOTHING, but I tried everything with everything and you are forced down the path so there is only one correct path (because it’s forced) so it just leaves you feeling confused and incomplete once you “beat” it. Maybe those other interactions are for replay with different character choices but I wasn’t entertained enough to waste my time with it again yet alone 2 more times. :/

Devil May Cry 5
This game is short, but it’s a gem for sure
between the stylish gameplay that puts all other spectacle fighters to shame, and the variety of really fun characters that are all really fun and compliment a different playstyle, and the… subpar but still really good multiplayer aspect of the some sections of the game (there’s a mod that let’s you use the co-op on all missions btw, see Nexusmods)
Once you finally get good at the game and unlock all of the moves, you can pull off some REALLY stylish combos, even I’ve managed a few

Hell To Raze
Once you get the controls down, it’s pretty fun and has plenty of potential. However, It has it’s fair amount of bugs.
1. Game Breaker Bug : If you get pulled into dialogue while falling off a ledge. You get a weird camera angle, and you lose control of your character. You have to force close the game and restart.
2. Beneficial Bug : If you do the uppercut and jump during the uppercut you’ll get a super jump. It helps get a better view of the map, and see things out of view of the camera.
3. Enemy Bug : During the Mother boss fight, the cannons do not act the same from the Greed stage. Greed cannon enemies turn left and right with the left and right trigger attacks. In the Mother boss fight, the cannon enemies turn right with attacks, act as anchors to be pulled to with the right trigger, and fire with the left trigger. Not sure if this is intentional or not.

Game mechanics are super satisfying when they work. The Boss Fights are challenging yet, rewarding when you beat them.
Suggestions:
-
Some sort of progress display so I know how many keys I still need.
-
The “pull” button often pulls me towards something, especially lanterns.
-
The green flying enemies can’t be pulled so I just had to spam the pull chain until they died.
-
I still have no idea how any of the specials work, but I seem to be fine without them haha. Would love an explanation on how they work though because they seem like they might be cool!!

Requiem
You can tell a lot of love went into this game, some of these level designs were absolutely superb. I loved how the music fits the overall vibe of each individual level very well, and how the colors/art scheme worked perfectly to set the fantasy yet darker tone. There were slight issues with input, and not being able to jump when the journal would open up was the cause of many a death on my part, but overall it was a fantastic experience! As a big fan of classic platforming, this was a welcomed challenge in some of the levels. Great work to everyone!

Highly recommend using Keyboard and mouse vs controller especially for the yo-yo grappling.
I had fun playing the game though it took me 3 hours (probably could have cut that down an hour if I had used keyboard and mouse the whole time). The mechanics and level design are very well thought out and understandable to the player. The art is cohesive. There are 2-3 levels that I felt didnt quiet scream which of the seven sins it was suppose to represent but overall the storyline and lore were able to be followed.
