This game is truly one of the highest caliber visual-novels that I have read. It has a way of drawing you in with its attractive character designs and dragging you deeper into it’s intense character depth and lore. This game can only be compared to a game that I consider to be one of the greatest of all time, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The deep gameplay and visual elements created an experience that was truly one of a kind. The subtle hints of romance between the character was not only seductive and alluring, but made me extremely horny. My journey through this masterpiece reminded me of why I started playing video games, to get lost in a world full of mystery of wonder, to have my boring life enriched by sexy anime vampire boys wanting to fuck me in my sleep, to have my titties titillated by the pure erotic fantasies that this game teases.

The Seven Districts of Sin: The Tail Makes the Fox - Episode 1

The Seven Districts of Sin: The Tail Makes the Fox - Episode 1

I received this game for free but this review only reflects my enjoyment and opinion of the game. There will be minor plot spoilers below but I don’t want to go into detail over all the things that happen in the game as I want you to play and discover it for yourself. So I will just go over some of the basic’s to give you an overview of what to expect and the quality of the game itself.

The Artwork is both beautiful and adorable at the same time. The backdrops are well detailed and varied. I never felt like I had been staring at the same backdrop for very long. The characters were well designed and even provided blink and mouth movement animations which really added to the game’s immersion. The CG’s are more towards the cute end of things as this game switches easily between chibi stylized art and regular anime stylizations. I felt that this choice was a good one because it really fell into what the story was as a whole which is a comedy. There are only a few CG’s (15ish) that you can unlock but that is understandable as this is only Episode 1 of an unknown ### at this time.

If I was to write my silly and very embarassing fantasies into a game, this is would be it. It reads like my daydreams of being a succubus in hell, complete with things you never want anyone to know about. Bad jokes and bad taste. It is voice acted, not too badly. The art is very pretty and… I’m sorry but Luci I can’t take seriously in that outfit. I spent the first few mintues of this game laughing and thinking I must have hit my head and passed out. I only recommend it and paid for it out of sick guilty pleasure and…ahem “personal reasons” but I suggest a normal person looking for a good VN to stay away. If you’re a depraved pervert and want to read subpar daydreamy fanfiction then go right ahead!

Demonheart: Hunters

Demonheart: Hunters

If I loved the first one deeply, this sequel disapointed me so I cannot recommande it, even if I enjoyed so much the prequel.

The good things :

  • We find back everyone, Ari, the Raze and Brash. I though we’ll meet Tunes another time as we see ihim n the trailer but he takes no part in the new senario.

  • Nothing change for Bright, she can still be good or bad, defiant or kind and can flirt with the recurent characters from the prequel.

  • All characters had kept their original personalities and way to speak, Ari is still a kind witch loving everything speaking about demon, Brash is still the cold obsessional knight deeply in love with you, Raze is still a childish demon looking for attention, but they also changed and it feels like they matured with past adventures.

Initially, I wasn’t going to write a review for this game. I expected to play it, like it, and move on because I generally have a hard time explaning why I like things. But this is a very difficult case. Something I’m really struggling with after playing Hunters is this thought: was Demonheart actually bad all this time and I refused to notice because I… liked it?

After playing through this game 4 times going on 5th, I find that I have less and less good things to say about it. So let’s first get one thing out of the way. Do I recommend you buy and play Hunters? …Yes. Even yesser if you have played the prequel and liked it. I would be lying if I said I didn’t have fun on my first playthrough. I would be lying if I said I hated the addition of combat, exploration and flower gathering for ability upgrades on my first playthrough. No, I actually loved all of that. On my first playthrough. Which took me somewhere around 8-9 hours to complete with me taking my time, exploring everything, disarming each and every trap, picking every single flower I could find and killing all the mobs I could reach with my shiny poisoned daggers.

Demonheart

(Note: This review was written after chapter 4’s release. If the final fifth chapter impacts this review, I will update it accordingly. I am also a man.)

Female-driven visual novels have become increasingly common among western audiences. Unfortunately, these games are also peppered with groan-inducing young boys seeking to win the hearts of adolescent girls through affection. Where are the games with dark storytelling and evil men, and why is it taboo for women to fantasize about them? Demonheart wisely accommodates this void with a cast of evil love interests and a thought-provoking dark narrative.

Real player with 40.8 hrs in game

Demonheart is a dark fantasy tale about a young woman, who has her life taken completely out of her own hands, in the most unusual circumstances. Follow this aberrant tale as she is lead down a dark path of no return.

Plot: Step into the role of Bright, a young red-headed maiden as she goes about her everyday life. She lives with her parents in a tiny house as the three of them try to scrape together to simply put food in their stomachs. That is, until one fateful day, an unexpected job offer reaches her. The town’s famous healer wishes to extend an invite to Bright to work alongside her in her shop as her assistant. This could be the break Bright and her family so desperately need, but is it too good to be true? Well, of course, it is or the story would end pretty quickly, wouldn’t it?

Seduce Me the Otome

Seduce Me the Otome

The test of any good fiction is that you should care something for the characters; the good to succeed, the bad to fail. The trouble with most fiction is that you want them all to land in hell, together, as quickly as possible. - Mark Twain

This is the first of Michaela Laws' games, and apparently, there is a whole fandom around it. It also was one of the earliest examples of the otome genre here on Steam. I wanted to see what the fuss was about for myself, and started playing it years ago, got bored and dropped it - and now I’ve revisited it for the sake of completion and making a decent review out of it. Guess what, I was right the first time around. There REALLY is nothing interesting here. It simply is some bad writing, with adolescent pheromones attached to it.

I wrote a really indepth review and then it didn’t post and my heart shattered into two.

Liek if u crie evrytiem ;(

I’ll try to sum up what I said before:

  • Really interesting characters. They all fit into a certain stereotype, but after finishing Sam’s route you can delve deeper into his personality and I’m sure the same goes for all characters.

  • Surprisingly good MC. Not annoying, meek or plain dumb like in games such as Remember Me or Dandelion. She can kick butt, stand up for herself and for the boys, and generally acts quite logically about most things. (As logically as one can when surrounded by hunky demon males, anyway).

Tales of Aravorn: Seasons Of The Wolf

Tales of Aravorn: Seasons Of The Wolf

This game is an RPG and a Visual Novel .

Or call it a story-driven RPG - much the same thing, imo.

I believe people too often think about this as a sequel to Loren, the Amazon Princess. It is Not.

But it is similar in game play, in many ways.

ToA really deserves it’s own place in your game library.

What do you get if you choose to play ToA, Seasons of the Wolf ?

1. A nice fantasy story, with surprising twists and turns .At times disturbing. At times beautiful.

2. Turn-based tactical combat , easy to learn, fun to play, difficult at times, especially on hard - which is a must difficulty setting throughout the game, if you want all achievements . (But hard is not impossible - take it from me, I managed to do it, and I am a huge fan of normal in most games ). Go for “nightmare”, if you truly want a challenge.

Real player with 259.2 hrs in game

This was a very good, fun game, but I’m going to approach the review assuming people have played its spiritual predecessor, Loren: The Amazon Princess, as there are some notable differences even though they take place in the same world.

The developer was upfront about making this a departure from Loren–less emphasis on romances (they’re still there, just not as many options for all the PCs) and more emphasis on tactical combat. And resource management, at least on Hard or (I can’t imagine) Nightmare difficulty. I played on Hard, which would not have been my 1st choice, but did it b/c, oddly enough, a great ### of the Achievements you only get by doing so.
