Dragon Creek
Before I get into this review, I will definitely state that this game is honestly not for everyone. In fact, the game is very niche- which is not a criticism, but it is something to mind when contemplating purchasing this game.
The game is very simple, but its simplicity is the beauty of it. You can generate a dragon at the shrine, train it up, battle it, and rank it up.
If someone is looking for a farm simulator with dragon training, this is not that game. The farm can be upgraded, but all upgrades pertain to improving your dragon’s situation. The only thing remotely akin to farming is purchasing the plot upgrades- which you cannot place yourself- so you can grow your own food so you do not need to buy food for your dragon as often from the food stand.

Wow, Dragon Creek. Where to begin…
It’s so adorable! It’s a simple, cute game about raising your own dragon. You have 4 different species that you can get, them being the European Dragon, the Eastern (Lung) Dragon, the Cat-Lung, and the Wyvern. There will be more species on the way too, so keep an eye out. The dragons can be generated through a randomizer or you can put “codes” in to create your own. (Hint: Try messing around with specific dragon names…) You feed, pet, and wash your dragon in this game.

h8machine
h8machine is a cardgame set in a dystopian future in which Artificial Intelligence 🤖🤖🤖 has completely overtaken the online world 🌐🌐🌐 but the worst part is - it learned to behave just like us…
but the AI is not just in the story! an in-game neural network allows you to customize and randomize 2D art in real time! with this TECHNOLOGY, you can fully immerse yourself in the world of anime profile pics posting complete garbage. it’s just like real life social media!
no one uses realtime-with-pause in cardgames, probably for some good reason. but screw it, I like RTWP so I just put it in!
you will strategize around the use of timers as the flow of time is your main resource! there is no turns and all cards time out, resulting in a gameplay like you haven’t seen before. will you get lost in the hectic chaos of ticking timers, or will you optimize every fraction of a second at your disposal? remember: the active pause system allows you to play any card you want while the time stops. use it to make your decisions and execute powerful combos!
are you tired of collecting cards one by one and having to remove the crap ones from your deck as a deckbuilder game goes on? in h8machine, instead of trying to collect a deck card by card, you grab packets of cards with their own “personalities” - internet stereotypes and whatnot. each of these personalities contributes 1/3 of your deck, and you can mix&match them to easily form decks with a pre-constructed feel
Loop Hero
A wonderful, clever and new take on the roguelike genre w elements of other genres that would seem contrary, yet it works perfectly as a whole. There are plenty of secrets and combinations to discover, and I would suggest a new player stay far away from any spoiler guides as a big part of the fun is discovering these hidden elements on your own. Graphics are good for the style they’re trying to emulate and there’s a definite minimalist aesthetic to the game that adds much to the overall story and themes of the game itself. Honestly, after all the time I’ve spent, I really just want more of everything and hope there’s an expansion or, at least, DLC coming. I’d take a sequel too, as long as it maintains the core of the first one. This is, of course, best for people who actively already love the genres this straddles, have an open mind and love experimental games, or, at least, are not slaves to the graphical arms race of the triple A field.

7/10
Loop Hero is a very impressive and creative indie game. However, the advantages of this game cannot hide the disadvantages.
Roguelike, Management, Tactical. Of course, this game has such rich elements, you might feel very interested in the first few hours. Keep playing this game, you will find it becomes a little boring. You also need to spend a lot of time on this game or you might not pass this game easily, even from my points of view, this game maybe not worth you to spend those time.

What the heck…no mouse support in 2021?
I felt like I had stepped back in time to 1989, before every PC had a mouse. But instead, I just stepped into this dev’s awful game that you have to use a controller or the keyboard to play. Absolute garbage.

Written for 1561’s Thoughts - Honest reviews, for busy people.
In Her Eyes is a visual novel / card game with interesting gameplay but a not-so-great translation. It’s understandable, but at times the dialogue becomes rather clunky. The rhythm aspect is fun. 6/10
