Feudalia
Not a bad game for 2-3 evenings, but pretty bugged in some missions (some cards don’t work correctly).

I’m board game enthusiast. The game really has a “board game feel” to it. Never played the physical version, But it looks similar from videos I watched. In fact never heard of the game before it popped up in my suggestions. Love the deck building and resource management aspect. Not much reviews so far for the game.
Only still in the “tutorial” section (8 first missions). Like it very much so far…

Dominion
Always heard about the boardgame but never had the chance to play it and now that i did I can see why it’s so popular!
The DA is very well done: plays smooth, good sfx, AI feels solid (haven’t tried Hard yet though). The game has already -I think?- all of the the expansions available that can be played in a 1v1 against AI or with another player online.
I must say this is very polished already for being EA for less than two weeks!
As per how stability goes, I played 3 games with a friend yesterday and we only got two freezes/crashes but we could keep playing by simply restarting the game: no game-breaking bugs found yet.

A very faithful adaptation of the famous evolutionary card game. The first one that found the concept of deckbuilding during the game. Many other games followed this inspiration, such as Star Realms, Ascension, War of Omens, for the main ones. If you know of any others, please respond.
This is a concept not to be confused with these two:
-
Deckbuilding before the game, the player builds a deck (example: Magic the Gathering).
-
Deckbuilding during the game, without being able to swap cards, during a quest (example: Slay the spire).

Mystic Vale
It’s a great rendition of my favorite card game, and always a fun play due to the nearly-unique card crafting system (I’ve only seen one other game, which both isn’t in video game format and is a product of the same company). It’s fast-paced and the automatic counting of resources is very nice.
That said, there are a few issues (all minor):
EDIT JAN 28: 1 was asking for clarity in cards remaining (counting on-deck or not). It’s apparent enough after checking once or twice and sticks with you; as of this edit, it’s cards under the on-deck

I recently downloaded this digital adaptation of the card game Mystic Vale having never played the physical version. I can say I love the game so far, and recommend it to anyone from fans of casual card games to more serious board game geeks. Essentially, It’s a well-balanced deck-building game with a theme of fighting the corruption of a sacred landscape through the cultivation of nature, and in my view is very relaxing, yet mentally stimulating, to play.
Those who have played the card game Dominion or other games of the deck-building genre will recognize the mechanic of purchasing cards from a center tableau, adding them to a deck of initially underwhelming cards, and slowly increasing potential of combos and synergy as the game progresses. However, the mechanic in Mystic Vale of crafting each card by adding components, or “advancements” in in-game terms, to each card’s top, middle, or bottom zones is unlike Dominion or any other game I’ve played. In my opinion, this concept alone sets Mystic Vale apart as an island of true uniqueness in a sea of ripoffs in the board/card game sphere.

Staff Only
I really begin to love this game. In the beginning I thought “Well, game mechanics somewhat like ‘night cities’, fun, but not too hard to win” but man what a difference it makes, if you add rules which add/remove boni and mali to certain cells. For 10 bucks a must have in my opinion.

Endless Soul Light Solitaire
The description of the game says everything: a classic Solitaire game. With the usual extras. There is real nothing new in this game.
Now, playing it some bugs are annoying: several times the game didn’t realized that there are no other cards playable; sometimes the game removes the card…but it is still visible and must be played a 2nd time.
Still if you have time to waste (and the game is reduced)….why not

Book of the Old
The Old, will Return
A puppet somehow has its own will, accidentally summoned a mystical soul from the Otherworld.
Now they are trapped in a mysterious manor.
What is behind all this, and what is awaiting these two souls?
The answer lays in the Book of the Old.
A Roguelike shooting game
Dodge enemies' bullets and shoot them! Every time you start a journey, it will be all new!
Adventure deeper, and new maps, enemies, stories will appear.
Decide you own adventure plan – do you prefer easy maps, or dangerous ones with high benefits?
Equipment? No, they are cards!
Collecting coins after cleaning rooms. Use coins to get powerful cards, or keep the coins for interest – if you are not killed by powerful enemies.
The altar will provide 5 cards each time for you to pick, and you can refresh them all if there is no your target card – of course you should pay for that.
3 same cards will became higher ranked card, witch can assist you fighting more powerful enemies.
Each card has two forms of ability and two bonds. With 80 cards and 32 bonds, it’s up to your wisdom and imagination how powerful you can be.
What’s that monster?
80 monsters and 23 bosses, every of them has its unique skill and action.
Some of them can even cooperate.
Be careful, every single kind of these monsters is fatal!
This is a roguelike game with infinite possibilities.
What is your road, you decide.
Roll
Roll is original and engaging. You roll dice to collect points, and use those points to upgrade your dice. The goal is to get the highest score possible in 2500 rolls.
It is likely to be too ‘mathy’ for some - figuring out which upgrades will generate the most had me setting up spreadsheets. However, some players like that sort of thing and once I got my head around the upgrades (most of the upgrades, there are some I still don’t really understand), I found I could do pretty well playing from the gut - which is more fun for me.

The man behind this game seems to be very passionate about the project. He has been putting out updates very frequently and even wiping leader boards with significant enough changes. he has also targeted and stopped (as far as I can tell) cheaters so the in game leader boards should be fairly accurate. On the limited youtube content available for this game he pops up time to time to interact with people in the comments section and answer questions or even just say hello, seems like a small thing but its kinda the reason I started playing. A random video about it popped up in my youtube feed and after seeing the dev in the comments seem so genuinely happy to talk to people about the game I figured id give it a shot. Im having a great time with this and id say its well worth the $4.99 I paid for it. I normally value my time as a gamer at roughly $1/hr of gameplay and Im only a few days into owning this game and I have already surpassed that mark. This deserves more attention and I think that if a community starts up around this it could really be a fun experience. Honestly my biggest gripe is that if I dont understand something or want to look something up about the game its simply not popular enough for google or youtube to understand what Im talking about and I havent come up with the right buzzword to have a more efficient search. “roll” and “roll game” paired with whatever Im trying to search or even by themselves usually yield either DND results or other games. but Im not even really sure thats any fault of the developer. If you have an extra $5 lying around you wont feel like you wasted it on this game

Frost
Frost: A solo deck-building PC game
(This was originally posted on my blog, GoPlayListen . It is largely aimed at tabletop gamers, but hopefully others will find the review useful too)
I’m pretty wary of computer games that mimic ideas from the board and card game world. It’s very rare they manage to capture the subtlety required to make a truly great tactical or strategic game, focusing more on visual bells and whistles and (usually) adding too many luck elements to hold the interest for long. Unless they’re a direct port from an existing tabletop game, they rarely seem designed for gamers.

Certainly not a game for everyone, but if you’re intrigued by the theme or the thought of pushing your luck in a hostile card-driven affair, then Frost is a pretty cool pick.
Aside from being chromatically challenged, Frost is notable for being a solitaire experience inspired by real world deck-building card games such as Dominion and its subsequent imitators including World of Tanks: Rush and Resident Evil.
The action, such as it is, takes place in the sort of post-apocalyptic setting that author Kurt Vonnegut made popular in his seminal novel Cat’s Cradle; a freezing world where tribes must now band together for their very survival. In the game’s ‘Classic’ mode you become a leader who must collect the resources needed to traverse the land in search of a mythical place called the “Refuge” whilst also trying your best to outrun the titular snow storm that threatens to consume all.

Solitaire. Elemental Wizards
The game plays to a point, that is beyond the two hour limit for refund, then crashes computer and looses all progress.
Would not recommend to anyone.

I love these +1/-1 solitaire games, and I’d never played one developed by DigiMight, so I wanted to get their take on the formula.
Overall, I think that they did a pretty good job. Although the abilities were simple and straightforward, they certainly aided in the completion of some of the more challenging levels. I also liked the tension created by the time pressure cards present on the tableau. If you remove too many other cards without removing the time pressure obstacles, a card will either be subtracted from your deck or added to the board, depending on the obstacle color. Blue obstacles remove a card from your deck, while orange ones add an additional one to the tableau.

Faerie Solitaire Dire
Original, positive review, left unedited:
I absolutely LOVED the previous Faerie Solitaire games (having played them several times through and would still go back for more) so this game was an immediate purchase! The game is in Early Access.. with not all of the story/items/etc available as of yet.. but that hasn’t dulled the enjoyment of it at all! I’ve played what is available from beginning-to-end almost a dozen times as of typing this. It’s such an enjoyable, not your standard “run of the mill” solitaire game. I’ve browsed through the forums on here for the game, and the developer is very active there should any problems arise (as well as taking suggestions during the games development). I look forward to the rest of the story being added, and of course being able to collect/hatch all the adorable pets as well! I highly recommend picking up this game to add to your collection! :)

This is a great solitaire game! They have some tricks up their sleeves to prevent us from winning such as cards that are covered by dirt and slowly appear when we make matches until the dirt is all gone and the card is usable. In later levels they have the same thing but if you don’t match it when it’s usable then the dirt reappears for every move you make that’s not a match, like clicking through the card deck. So it’s difficult to clear that card because you have to have other cards that can use it and at the right time. Another thing is a card that is blank but with a number that counts down every time we make a match until it gets to zero and flips over and is usable. Then there’s a stack a cards covered by a strange colored backing and the way to clear it is to uncover another strange glowing card back and click on it to clear the other one. For help, occasionally you get some wild cards that can be used and then select any card on the tableau to clear it. Wild Cards are very useful when you run through the entire deck and still have a card or two to clear.
