Minion Masters
Let me start by saying that this game is so rigged, manipulative and can be dangerous to people with gambling problems or really bad O. C. D. so, people with less self-control should not be playing this game in my honest opinion.
You can play solo in 1v1, with random people in 2v2 Team Battle, with a friend in a Premade Team Battle, in Guild Premade Battle or create custom matches. You can also purchase Adventures to play against AIs that try too hard to make you feel like the game has a story. You can always Challenge same bots to try out different decks and your new experiments before playing against real players. I must say that this game is not Pay-to-Win in any way as of now, which is great but I did spend a lot of money on it, mostly for cosmetics.

Early Access V 0.9.1
Before we start I got a game key for free during alpha but since Early access I bought the premium upgrade at the same price as all new players since early access launch because currently premium upgrade includes in all new purchases.
The game revolves in the Forced universe. Betadwarf has made two prior games, Forced and Forced Showdown. I have played extensivly Forced Showdown and had alot of fun with it. WIth that in mind I had very high hopes for betadwarfs third game, Minion Masters.

Infinity Wars: Animated Trading Card Game
Infinity Wars seemed like it was going to be a spectacular game. Now, it is like almost all other free to play games in almost all respects—you have to pay to play and it’s full of promises that are never delivered.
I have sunk a considerable amount of time in this game and have heard and read a lot about debated topics and other babble from the developers, so this short review has a good foundation. To start, I will list the cons, which dwarf all pros in such a way, now, that it’s hard to even fathom why I got hooked on this game in the first place.

You know, this game has been dead/dying for the better part of a year, and a review would only be an exercise in catharsis. Anyway.
This TCG was the best. Seriously. There really isn’t another F2P game right now that replicates Infinity Wars gameplay. At least without the scummy microtransactions (Nova Blitz). 7 factions (8 counting factionless) and you can mix and match cards from 3. Literally 84 combinations are possible before you’ve even made your deck. The game was well balanced given the possibilities, too, which was handily impressive, and simultaneous turns made for a lot of down-to-the-wire-I-just-crapped-my-pants moments. Because no matter how bad the situation is, the advantage can change hands within a single turn. Such a satisfying feeling.

Shadowverse CCG
I come from a very strict family, and I always like card games, especially the Japanese ones.
But, my parents always get angry at me for wasting my money at these real form card games.
Not after this game was Introduced to me few months later from a feed on my social media where some weebs shown off their legendary card gacha pack.
I was intrigued by it and search it from google, and I found this hidden gem. The moment after passing the tutorial, I already fallen in love with the game.
But I was a bit too late, since it’s already on Darkness Evolved expansion pack and I’m missing many free stuffs. Nevertheless, I still enjoy playing the game until this day..

This CCG has its own cancer deck(s) of course, but it’s still good enough to recommend, since my experience is: a tiny bit of frustration, which quickly goes away, and a whole bunch of fun, that you won’t forget any time soon. Most of the following is very subjective, so that’s an other reason to try the game, but of course reading different opinions might help you decide if the game is for you, so here we go! (I’ll try to stay objective, where I can. Tl;dr: check the “OVERVIEW” part.)

Spellstone
I have many hours in this game before it came to Steam but I did put some hours into the steam version before writing my review to check for any changes, added or missing features, performance issues, etc. Spellstone is a very fun game that you can enjoy as a f2p player but just be prepared to hit a paywall like in many other mobile games. There are monthly individual events as well as weekly guild events or individual events to participate in. The best part of the game for me is the guild aspect and events which can be alot of fun especially when you find a good guild that is active and helpful. There are also BGE’s that add a special ability to a particular tribe for a certain amount of time which make the cards from that tribe more powerful. Now for the negative stuff. Cards are split into a standard set (cards that anyone can get) and a premium set (cards that must be purchased with real $) which creates a huge power gap between f2p and p2w because the premium set cards are much stronger. The huge issue which you should notice pretty quickly is that the prices in this game are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. The cards come in the usual common, rare, epic, legendary variety and two cards can be combined to make a dual version or four cards can be combined to make the top level quad version of the card, so as an example the in game store sells boxes which contain 4 copies each of 6 legendary cards and 8 copies each of 6 epic cards. To buy out the whole box and guarantee yourself 6 quad legendaries and 12 quad epics will cost you just over $300. The cards in the box will be mostly from the tribe that are currently part of the bge so while this will make your deck stronger for a while, once the bge ends most of the cards you bought won’t even be playable anymore. While the bge effects are interesting and fun to play they are also meant to make players purchase more cards from that faction to compete within the bge. Powercreep is also a serious issue, cards that you pay money for will be overpowered by new box cards usually within a few months. There are also chance packs which give you 1 of any card in the pack (but with no set amount of each card) so you could spend hundreds of $ and not even be able to quad one of the cards that you really wanted. There is also an emporium that has 4 slots with each containing one item for sale, however this is only available to vips and each slot unlocks at a certain vip level (based on how much $ you have spent) but to have access to all 4 items you will need to spend THOUSANDS of $$$$, and after all of that 4 copies of a legendary card from the emporium to make a quad will cost you $100. My least favorite thing though has to be that you can purchase refills with real money for some of the “competitive” individual and guild events, so say that you’ve put together a really good deck and played awesome during an event and you’re in a good ranking that will land you a decent reward, well someone can just open their wallet right at the end and buy their way past you….. really? This is a fun game and can be enjoyable for f2p players but make sure that you know what this game is all about before spending your money here and if you’re looking for a good f2p game that you can spend a few $ here and there on to show your support, this is not it.

Put it this way:
The paywall you experience in this game can dramatically vary depending on the event available.
I started playing about a week ago. All I had to do is score 1 point on the PvE event to get 1 epic prize. My cards were too weak to do that. So at that point it looked unpleasant.
But I was 100% sure there are other events and they would treat me better.
Events prescribes a specific condition, either accumulating bounties, playing an event pve map, guild war or something else. Then everyone get prizes according to where they rank. Much like the good earlier years of mobile gaming, spearheaded by Blood Brothers in my experience. I dunno why this form of competition dwindled, other than that it was maybe too spammed at a time.

TL;DR: Kind of like hearthstone but hate RNGesus shenanigans and like some more depth? Oh, and don’t mind a lack of polish (yet) and a spacey theme? Try Star Crusade! You’ll probably enjoy it.
Read a few other reviews and thought: is this hearthstone in space? Well, yes, -but- with a few very important differences that make it a -lot- more enjoyable for me. Here’s what different apart from the obvious theme:
the good
- Your “heroes” can equip 3 different modules that in essence are hero powers. These powers use either your basic resource (supply) or energy, which is gained by attacking your opponent and killing his units. These things add a layer of depth on the “hearthstone” strategy you’re used to.

Cards and Castles
Oh Cards and Castles, When i ran into this game over 2-3 years ago, I have to be honest I didn’t expect much. Now looking where I am and the game is today I felt like this game may have been one of the greatest games I’ve ever run into. The game itself is a great combonation of Collectible cards and strategy with very intersting mechanics and a meta that keeps gameplay interesting.
The evolution of the game has been a positive one in terms of graphics and gamplay. The graphics back in the day of course looked pretty floppy but it eventually evolved to fit the faster pace of the game in which it is currently in. The several Mechanics of the game provide for startegical thought as well as positioning which throws aspects of chess like thinking into the game. Not to mention deckbuilding which throws even more thinking in the game due to thoughts like determing how you wish to play or how you would want to win matches. The state the game is in currently certainly shows its progression and for people just discovering the game you may find it to be pertty well made

As a long time Duelyst player, and fan of the genre in general, this is finally a game I will be able to invest a lot of time into. I have looked for a long time for a replacement, and this just may be it.
Old negative reviews are badly out of date, and basically nothing is true in them anymore. Ignore them.
The game has no paywalls, nothing is locked, everything can be obtained in game and it is pretty easy. The F2P system is very generous and I was able to make a top notch deck in a single day. The ranking system is wonderful, being both based on the player and the deck, so you get matched appropriately, and you are not punished for trying a new deck.

Eternal Card Game
Finally! Eternal Card Game is the game Wizards of the Coast should have created 10 years ago. Had Wizards created an accessible, attractive and intuitive OCCG based on MTG, they would be the dominant player in the market going on a decade now. However, their short-sightedness and unwillingness to experiment with their IP means we had to wait for Eternal to scratch our Magic itch. (Hex, while a beautiful and intricate game, lacks the ‘accessible’ and ‘intuitive’ aspects that Hearthstone and Eternal meet)

I’ve played Magic on and off my whole life and spent at least 1000 hours playing Hearthstone. I had MTGO since the very beginning, and Hearthstone since late 2013 near the end of the open beta. Eternal is the best online card game I’ve ever played. It combines the best aspects of Magic’s strategic depth and Hearthstone’s fast-paced accessibility while avoiding their flaws.
F2P
Magic will always be expensive because it’s a tradable CCG with a reserve list of cards that can’t be reprinted and expensive booster packs. Most cards lose tons of value when they rotate out of standard. MTGO is less expensive and more liquid than physical cards, but still expensive. Recently, Wizards have added features similar to other digital CCGs like treasure chests.

War of Omens Card Game
As someone who has spent more than 1.5k hours on this game (Steam + other platforms), I have to say it’s a hidden gem in the TCG/CCG genre.
- Gameplay: In this game you don’t start with your “deck” but rather a set of 10 coins, which you play to gain gold in order to buy cards from what is called “bank”, which consists of cards you put in your “deck”. This mechanic means there is no strict limit to how many cards you can have at one time. Unlike other games of this kind, your and your opponent’s hand and bank are always visible to both, which means the gameplay is more akin to chess than a card game because all moves available to each player in their next turn are transparent to both, there are a few exceptions but they are not the norms. This aspect makes it so unique compared to its peers

First part English/Second part French
My Favourite CCG. It’s fast paced, you can play all the time if you want, against human or A.I..
The grinding isn’t so hard. For me, I was doing the non-multiplayer quests and 1 or 2 tournaments per day, it took me 1 year to get all the cards fully upgraded. Nowadays, you can play a lot more tournaments, and with steam, surely a lot more new players, so I think you can get all cards fully upgraded even faster.
The concept of this CCG is really different from other CCG, you see exactly, what cards have your opponent, and what cards he can buy in his bank, no mystery, no secret weapon hidden in the jacket.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game
The best Card game on Steam!
This review does not contain any spoilers for any Witcher Games
Gameplay
When it comes to card games the most important thing is without a doubt gameplay and balancing. The gameplay of Gwent is quite simple and very familiar to anyone who has played Gwent in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Each player must play one card each turn from a deck of at least twenty-five cards. Each deck belongs to a faction that offers different play styles. Each faction has different “leaders” who each have individual abilities. As Gwent does not use a mana system like most traditional collectible card games, card advantage is often what wins the game.

An incredibly unique, and fundamentally great card game, ruined by months of incompetence lasting since the release of the Way of the Witcher expansion.
A list of issues plaguing the game right now:
-The game was struggling with balance before, but the meta was never as annoying as it is right now. Ever since the release of WotW, even though diverse, the meta is incredibly binary in the sense that some decks just beat others on paper if luck of the draw doesn’t incredibly favor you. This makes for a really bad “rock-paper-scissors” kind of feel to the game’s matchups.

Master of Wills
Honestly, there is no better card game in the world. Once the community finds out about this game, it will be a hit. It’s different, its strategic, it has depth on top of depth and it truly takes things to another level. Also the MOW Team (and the dedicated people in the community helping out) have been at this for 4 years so you know they are dedicated to continuing the development and have already accomplished so much. Kudos to all involved!

Such a simple concept and easy to learn. Yet the strategy is ever evolving, as it is not just a game against the deck and cards, but a mind game against your opponent. Plays can be as simple as moving cards, slightly more involved with faction plays, and advanced plays required multiple rounds to set up and execute. The art is fantastic and the team is responsive to feedback. A great game with plenty of options to advance for players of all types.
