This game quickly became one of my Top 5 Favorite Games on Steam. It’s a JRPG-style game from an non-Japanese indie game company named Winter Wolves. This company is mostly known for dating sims and visual novels, but honestly, I think this game is their best yet. (Although, to be fair, I haven’t played all their games yet.)

Important note: The DLC is a MUST HAVE. Honestly, the story would seem very incomplete without it, so if you get this game, get the DLC. This review is also based on having it.

Ok, so the game is not a total fail. It does several things well, but the negative review is due to several factors that I cannot overlook, which I will explain here.

It starts off promising, with customization of stats, distinct NPCs and a nicely stylized art. The story starts off a bit cheesy and cliche, but it does several things well - you are not the main hero but their sidekick, which is immediately nicely refreshing; it boldly tackles the topics of misandry and racism; choices alter the story you experience. Soon after, however these lose their novelty and you begin to realize that while you are the sidekick you still play like the hero - you are their equal in strength and you can easily make everyone like you; the topics I mention could be explored more in-depth but instead the game does not go beyond “everyone is prejudiced, for no good reason, except you, so tell them how wrong they are, without a particularly good reason; and the different paths are for the most part inconsequential.

Yall just had to make this game huh. Well i am happy you did but mad because now i have to choose. I hate Choosing there is so many Romance Options i want to do and i dont exactly feel like playing through the entire game. 12 times or more… Not including playing through the first one…. I will probably do these things i am just saying that it makes me upset…. I am Indecisive as all heck how dare you give me choices…

All in all the game is awesome the only complain i have is well how the MC personality is… It is honestly just two ways and that is kinda well boring. THough with all the choices you get the make it makes this less of a big deal by quite a bit. The only other complaint i have is well why cant i be with Cliff as a female. All in all this is such a great game the story and everything is awesome. So yea i recommend this game.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Ratings : 9/10

Planet Stronghold 2 is another excellent game that I enjoyed tremendously. Although it is a bit expensive, I felt that it is worth it, because it give me 100+ hours of fun and enjoyment. This game also have great replayability as I played it more than 10 times to get the 75 achievements.

This game is a wonderful blend of both RPG and VN; both genre that I loved very much. As for RPG, you have the option of choosing 4 different starting classes (soldier, guardian, scout, psionics), and 2 different factions (empire, rebels). You can also choose either male or fema You even have the option to toggle nudity and erotic text too, without the need to download any special patches, as in most other games.

Alluna and Brie

Alluna and Brie

Pros: Good comedy, interesting story, good characters, decent gameplay.

Cons: Gameplay CAN be repetitive at times, story leans too much on knowledge of prior release, REALLY should have mouse input.

A solid, if slightly flawed, first RPG for the developer. While the gameplay is solid and easy to pick up and play, the interface would really work better in every way if mouse functionality worked. The plot leans heavily on events of the developer’s previous game, Max’s Big Bust, in a way that can cause confusion to any who haven’t played that game.

Alluna and Brie is a game that takes several gaming concepts and mashes them together into one pretty cohesive whole. It’s basically a turn-based RPG-light game with a lot of visual novel elements. It also combines time management themes with some mini-games. The “mermaid spikers” sport is mildly fun (not my cup of joe, but has the potential to be addictive), but the Pokemon Go-like mini-game I have yet to try out. It must seem that having so many different playstyles together in one game is a recipe for disaster, but it seems to work.

Athenian Rhapsody

Athenian Rhapsody

Athenian Rhapsody is a new comedic RPG game in which you’ll explore the world of Athens! It is a turn based RPG with intense and fast paced real-time-dodging. You’ll be faced with many challenges, and you’ll have to fight your way through the world by either fighting, or awkwardly trying to make friends with the enemies through pick-up-lines, mean jokes, memory games, and other strange and funny interactions. You’ll also be faced with many vigorous mental challenges, with mind bendingly difficult puzzles such as “Push Button” and “Spell Richard”. There is a vast amount of activities in Athens that do not fall under the RPG category as well, and will catch you off guard.

There are a large amount of enemies you’ll have the chance to battle, all befriendable and all with large amounts of unique dialogue. Some of the creatures you’ll develop a strong bond with will join your party, and you can switch to them in battle! They also have different abilities in battle, so you may want to swap party members depending on the situation. Well, assuming you’ve made friends with them instead of murdering them for their EXP… There are 16 possible followers for you to discover, as well as numerous alternate endings and story extensions based on your decisions ingame.

There is something for everyone to enjoy with lots of unique and engaging battle mechanics, a large amount of characters with their own stories and interactions with the world, and some intensely tough challenges down the line as well.

Questr

Questr

I found QUESTR to be very entertaining. It is not much as a game, but what it lacks in gaming substance it makes up in content.

You start by inviting people to join your quest party. Many of the people lie on their profiles and some characters hate your other members so much that they quit right away.

Every quest has multiple events in which you need to select one characters idea how to solve them. For example you encounter a vampire. Will you send a) the Vegan to talk to him about being vegan b) the drunk to talk about drinking c) or the bro who says he got this as he had to watch vampire movies with his ex. Results might not be what you expect.

Questr is an RPG parody of dating apps similar to Tinder.

In a similar fashion, you swipe left and right to build the perfect RPG team. Every potential party member has likes and dislikes, levels, costs to hire, and personality traits as well as their own class, guild, and ancestry.

Personality traits determine the outcome of encounters throughout each quest. Beating an encounter raises morale, while failing lowers it. Party members also interact with one another between encounters, further raising or lowering morale depending on how well personality types get along and whether or not you paid attention to likes and dislikes. At the end of a quest, the morale level determines if you successfully complete it, giving you a reward and the possibility of having party members continue to quest with you.

Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim

Humanity was destined to fall. Your people, the Great Old Ones, were legends among the humans. Like, that was it, though. They got their butts kicked. Humanity won. Somehow. It was really, really embarrassing.

Isekai Succubus ~My Genderbent Saga in Another World~

Synopsis

A comical 3D dungeon crawler RPG following the story of a genderbent protagonist and his succubus companions.

One day a strange woman invades the dreams of the protagonist (♂) and sends him to another world after changing him into a succubus (♀). Upon awakening, he (♂?) is overwhelmed by his new, unfamiliar female body and it’s urges. Luckily, two cute, experienced succubi are there to help and invite him to accompany them on a journey filled with adventure and battles! Characters

Rinne

True name: Aihara Rinmu. He’s an ordinary young man who is suddenly changed into a succubus and sent off to another world where he encounters all sorts of troubles. The two succubi he meets there are a handful, but Rinne’s natural disposition is that of a caring older brother, and he does his best to look after them. (Although it might be better to say “older sister” instead.)

Eleonora (Elena)

The other succubus in Rinne’s party. Her personality is bright and cheerful to a fault. Without someone to stop her, she is the type to rush headlong into all sorts of troublesome situations, so make sure to keep an eye on her!

Game System

Unique gimmicks await in the numerous 3D dungeons available for players to explore as they progress through the story.

The number of items that can be brought into any dungeon is limited, so figuring out how what you need to clear them effectively is especially important!

Clearing a dungeon quickly might result in a special bonus…

Turn-based battle system:

Use 4 customizable skill slots along with the special skill of the characters to defeat enemies in turn based battles. Succubi have the special ability to drain stamina from enemies using [Energy Drain]. Draining magic from enemies can double as a defensive ability by preventing enemies from attacking during their turn. Even extremely powerful enemies can be defeated by using your skills effectively!

Skill Customization

Each character has 4 skill slots that can be customized with a variety of abilities. Skills can be created by collecting the Essence dropped by defeated enemies.

Mary Skelter: Nightmares

Mary Skelter: Nightmares

mary skelter: nightmares is a first person dungeon crawler jrpg that takes place inside of the jail, an enormous living organism that appeared out of nowhere one day and swallowed an entire city, mimicking it in the proccess. players assume the role of jack, a boy in his late teens who, after being rescued from one of the cells of the jail with his childhood friend alice, joins the dawn, a mysterious organization that aims to escape the jail.

jack, however, cannot fight the marchens, the monsters that inhabit the jail; the only ones capable of doing so are girls called blood maidens, who possess mysteryous super powers (and, like jack, are based on characters from fairy tales). alice, needless to say, is a blood maiden, as is red riding hood, the girl that rescues them at the beginning of the game; the other ones are: snow white, sleeping beauty, cinderella, rapunzel, gretel, kaguya, thumbelina and hameln.

Ayt so since I’m very close to 100% in this game I guess now is the best time to leave a review. If you were looking for a number rating It’s a 9/10 for me :)

Gameplay:

This game is a First Person Dungeon Crawling RPG. Unique things in this game include the ability to “de level” your charcters to be able to switch builds also gaining bonus skill points by doing so (or if you devolve enough you can build characters with every skill they can learn)

Each character has their own job lines that locks them into a certain range of flexibility but how you use the classes are generally up to you since you can just add skills from other jobs in the line to your current class. This kind of makes each character have their own “role” that dosent feel too restrictive at the same time. There are 10 playable characters and 5 job lines so when you get all of them you may double down on a certain job line.

Demonheart: Hunters

Demonheart: Hunters

If I loved the first one deeply, this sequel disapointed me so I cannot recommande it, even if I enjoyed so much the prequel.

The good things :

  • We find back everyone, Ari, the Raze and Brash. I though we’ll meet Tunes another time as we see ihim n the trailer but he takes no part in the new senario.

  • Nothing change for Bright, she can still be good or bad, defiant or kind and can flirt with the recurent characters from the prequel.

  • All characters had kept their original personalities and way to speak, Ari is still a kind witch loving everything speaking about demon, Brash is still the cold obsessional knight deeply in love with you, Raze is still a childish demon looking for attention, but they also changed and it feels like they matured with past adventures.

Initially, I wasn’t going to write a review for this game. I expected to play it, like it, and move on because I generally have a hard time explaning why I like things. But this is a very difficult case. Something I’m really struggling with after playing Hunters is this thought: was Demonheart actually bad all this time and I refused to notice because I… liked it?

After playing through this game 4 times going on 5th, I find that I have less and less good things to say about it. So let’s first get one thing out of the way. Do I recommend you buy and play Hunters? …Yes. Even yesser if you have played the prequel and liked it. I would be lying if I said I didn’t have fun on my first playthrough. I would be lying if I said I hated the addition of combat, exploration and flower gathering for ability upgrades on my first playthrough. No, I actually loved all of that. On my first playthrough. Which took me somewhere around 8-9 hours to complete with me taking my time, exploring everything, disarming each and every trap, picking every single flower I could find and killing all the mobs I could reach with my shiny poisoned daggers.
