Better Boyfriend

Better Boyfriend

This is a cute time killer game. I play it while I play mt cell phone games. I am hoping for the Devs to add more to it like shopping for house hold items, a date night, and to be able to talk to my BF. Some trading cards would be nice too! 4.5/10

Better Boyfriend is a game about getting your lazy-lazy boyfriend to make your bed without telling him to. Sounds like my childhood.

Otaku’s Adventure

I thoroughly enjoyed myself playing this game. I loved the multiple girls you could try to date, and I especially loved the multiple endings this game has to offer. It does have a lot of references to Kio’s Adventure, so I found them funny and made the game a bit more enjoyable in my opinion. The art style was kinda simple but cute and I liked the comic book aspect. Some of the minigames was a pain in the butt for me (like trying to do the shooting or alien fighting ones without losing any health was hard). Just like Kio’s Adventure, this game does have a lot of typos, but it does add to the humor of the game. My biggest issue with the game is the lack of a skip button (even a skip for only seen text would have been nice). A lot of my time was spent trying to quickly go through text I’ve seen just to find all the endings. A skip feature for text would have been very, very appreciated (and not just a skip feature for already seen endings…).

Love the plot twist after plot twists, 10/10. English translation were not on point, other than that is perfect.

A skip option would be nice too.

Puzzle Dating

This game is a basic match 3 about dating, but honestly it could be about herding cats or counting rice in a bag as there is no text or interactions regarding the date. The only thing about it is you’re given the choice between two dates and knows their name, their occupation and their personality.

As other match 3, there you’re able to make cross match, long lines, etc. Instead of giving you a different bonus depending on what move you did, it gives you a smile instead which not only acts as any other color but also gives you +1 move which you’ll need as the difficulty augments through the game.

Very relaxing, so long as you don’t mind going anywhere and just getting some achievements instead of reaching an end goal.

I joked with my housemate, who was watching me play, that it should have been called “Puzzling Date” instead of “Puzzle Dating”. I went through several “dates” with out really having any idea what the end goal was. I didn’t seem to ever date the same person twice and it didn’t seem that successes meant anything.

All in all, the music was soothing. The match 3 aspect was nice and calming. It just didn’t seem to have any point to it beyond that. [shrugs]

If I could describe this game in one word… it’d be…

Lazy.

Look, I wanted to like this game, I love boss arena bullet hell games. One hit kill? Bring it freaking on! Taste the full color spectrum of mythical birds with unique elemental stuff? I’ll get my box of cereal ready! HELL YEAH WE’RE GONNA PECK SOME… oh.

So by boss Arena you mean have tough (high hp) enemy sway side to side with an attack gimmick. Ok…not much of a boss but ok…do they multi phase at least? Well if by multi fast you mean they throw in an additional attack and attack faster then…sure. They have a “Final” attack that if you do enough damage to them you can bypass…and that’s about it.

First of all: This is not a classic Shoot’em Up, because all you will be doing here is one bossfight after the other. There is no real story behind it, and if there was maybe a small table of text in the beginning of the game, I have totally forgotten about it, as it doesn’t matter anyway. This game is about pure action and reaction spread across 100 levels and even more challenge levels (if you dare to try them).

Although each of these levels consists of a relatively small amount of assets when it comes to background or enemy types, they are mixed up constantly so the game manages through this restriction to give the player a completely new challenge on each end every level. Where in between there are next to no loading times, wich makes the game nonstop action and because of that very enjoyable and fast paced itself.
