Sinful Eden
As an achievement hunter I don’t feel much interest in a game without achievement but this game was an exception and I finished it. I don’t know why this game has many negative ratings but my rating is obviously positive. Although the story progresses through a semi-fantasy method about how to impress girls by a guy, yet the basic is perfectly right that get hassle free money and give them gifts… yes, money is the only thing that impres the girls… no matter how much ridiculous it sounds but that’s the ultimate fact deep in a woman’s mind… whatever the reason is “money is sweeter than honey” for them. :XD

Before I start I’d like to state that I recieved a review copy of this game for free, with that out of the way. I’ve Just completed the game which took me roughly 5 hours and really enjoyed it. Here’s what I thought in more detail:
Pros:
-
Nice artwork
-
Interesting premise
-
Enjoyed the puzzle solving aspects
-
Cute story & characters
-
Trading cards are always nice
Cons:
- Really the only negative I found was that the game lacks an ‘options & settings’ menu, this didn’t present any real problems for me personally, but I could see how some people may have an issue with this.

Some Some Convenience Store
(Free copy won in a reddit giveaway.)
I’ve long been entrenched in the visual novel scene and Japanese culture, but Korean culture is something I have little familiarity with. So it was with particular curiosity that I went into Some Some Convenience Store, and to see their take on the medium. After playing through the whole thing, I’m happy to report that it’s a really nice VN. My personal score would be a 75/100. To go more in depth:
In terms of assets - character illustration, backgrounds, UI, music - it’s all great. The character artist is especially good, and the portrait art and CG illustrations are gorgeous.

Some Some Convenience Store
Developer: TALESSHOP Co., Ltd.
Publisher: TALESSHOP Co., Ltd.
Pros:
1. The plot of an app that helps you get into relationships (romantic, friendship, business) is an interesting concept, along with the app being a part of the gameplay acting as an indirect guide on how you’re doing is also a neat feature. The Some Some app also applying itself into the story is great to see, as not only does the protagonist sometimes has his disregards about the app, there are some developments throughout the story that bring more light to what it is.

Tricolour Lovestory
Firstly, in the event SakuraGame developers read these reviews, I hope to communicate my only disappointment in this title. The translation is simply terrible. Much of the text consists of idioms and literal word-for-word translation of the original language. I was able to get a sense of what was happening, but I feel I missed at least half of the potential impact this game is capable of delivering.
All else aside, Tricolour Lovestory is a bit of a hidden treasure and a rather intricate slice-of-life tale that packs an unexpected emotional punch. We are introduced to a protagonist who had suffered a lifetime of emotional, verbal, and physical abuse at the hands of his overbearing and controlling parents. The story begins with the MC recalling a fierce confrontation between himself and “them” where all ties his world outside the home are viciously torn away from him and burned before his eyes. An emergency at the factory where his father works forces “them” to move far across the country and leave the MC to fend for himself. We follow through his daily life as he explores the meaning of concepts previously foreign to him, such as love, friendship, loyalty, and freedom.

When I first bought this game, I had skepticism on whether this may be one of those poorly made, cheap, cash grab Chinese games that you tend to see flooding the Steam store nowadays. But I was proven wrong, very wrong. After completing both Daisy and Violet’s route in about 60-ish hours, I can say that this is probably one of the BEST Chinese made visual novels you can get your hands on for a relatively cheaper price to the Japanese counterparts.
Quality-wise, the game does feel a bit “unfinished” since there are a lot grammar and vocabulary mistakes within the English version of the script. Some of which don’t even match what the characters say in Mandarin. In some scenes, the script and the voice acting doesn’t even match at all, which I do believe is a bug. Despite the flaws, visually this game is very top quality with it’s character art style and auditorily, has a very beautiful and relaxing soundtrack to listen to. Not to mention, the Chinese voice acting is also very top notch.

Gal*Gun 2
Short review:
Gal*Gun 2 is an arcade-style shooter where you shoot anime girls to deliver them ecstasy, instead of death. You can have characters cosplay and pose for you lol. Great port, I didn’t run into any major issue. Compared to Double Peace, GG2 takes one step forward two steps back, but it’s still stupidly fun. Get DP first if you haven’t, it has a higher fun per unit currency ratio.
A tad bit more info:
Comparing to its predecessor, Double Peace, the gameplay has changed from on-rails shooter to a static 360º VR-ish shooter, but without the actual VR (at least officially supported, check guides for playing in VR). So, instead of the character automatically moving around after an event ends, you now have to choose where to get teleported to next, which kinda breaks the flow (you’ll also see enemies getting teleported into places where there were none before). But at least the cursor doesn’t move by itself when the character is moving, so it might be a huge improvement.

I was a pretty big fan of Gal*Gun:Double Peace…it was a lot of fun and there was a frenetic pace so it felt like you rarely could see it all the first time through. Plus there were multiple routes through some levels in addition to the various choices to win over certain girls and that added some replay value to it. Just about the only thing better would be Double Peace in VR.
Well, this is as close as you can get until INTI CREATES CO decides to actually remake Double Peace in VR (I’d probably buy it BTW). This game is missing a few things but it also added a few things as well. Does the trade off work? Is it worth it? Well I’d say mostly yes, but I kinda wish they kept some of the old system.

Shades of Sakura
It took me a while to decide to purchase this game due to its unusual puzzle mechanic. I am glad that I finally decided to try it.
The Puzzles
Although some took many tries to solve, none of the 30 puzzles ever became frustrating. This physics-based mechanics seems to be very well matched to the pace and art style of this game. Further, there seem to be many ways of solving the individual puzzles. I tried multiple methods on each and they worked (or failed) in a logical way. Having an adaptable game engine like this is quite fascinating.

Although it is a Hentai game, My personal experience with it is quite surreal. The art wasn’t the best, but it was plenty enough. The moaning is sort of half-assed, though. You could hear that the moan wasn’t deep, nor was it passionate. Other than the fact that it was an empty moan, the moan lacks a massive amount of timbre. One thing i was puzzled by was the inexcusable fact that i didn’t even get horny once, instead i spent more time trying to figure out some of the levels the puzzle had and reading the dialogue. In my personal opinion, i loved the illustrations they selected for the background. The BGM wasn’t all that bad, but it gets pretty sour once it passes the 30-minute mark. But using the journey of a samurai as the story was a very interesting change of pace that left me baffled. It’s definitely not the best game ever. However, it’s fair to say i’m very much satisfied, and i have gotten my money’s worth.

FOCUS on YOU
Love this experience.
I have had this on PS for around 18 months and usually spend a couple of hours a week enjoying it.
Often spending time just staring into her eyes, or trying to get a better look at the exquisite detail of her mouth.
Saw it on special on Steam and grabbed it.
Seems the PC version hasn’t gotten all the updates the PS version has had.
Realise they probably can’t optimise it as well for PC as they can for PS but there were some changes to the clothing meshes that make them seem far less cartoon-ish as well as being able to approach her much more closely and I don’t believe there is any reason they couldn’t be coming to PC?

I played through this in 1 Hour 17 minutes and whilst it was fun and there are some other bits to mess around with post completion, I don’t believe this is worth the asking price £30 unless the developer adds more content. There are no mini-games as such and it’s all rather scripted. It falls under “experience” rather than game. You cannot interact with Han Yua, although she does move away slightly if you try to get too-close to her. She will also look at you depending on your position.

Spring Flower
Spring Flower is a “template flip”, that is to say, it’s a “game” that has been produced by copying a game template or using a game construction kit, and changing a few things. In this case it was a game construction kit/template for doing a simple jigsaw puzzle with less than a handful of low res images of Manga art girls. The developer here has done this over a dozen times now:
-
Sweet Halloween
-
My Sweet Ants
-
Mystical Lights
-
Cute Girls Love Books

I enjoyed the premise, characters, and the setting for this game. The story was straightforward but fun too.
Having the main character run a lingerie shop was a novel experience to me, and I liked all the interactions with the characters, and the different lingerie designs too.
The music was fun and light hearted most of the time, which helped make the game pleasant to play. The various outfits were appealing too, and it’s not something you see too often in VNs where it’s far more common to just have one or two outfits for a given character, given how much work it ends up being for the artist to have to draw characters in multiple outfits and poses/expressions etc.

“There is a charm about the forbidden that makes it unspeakably desirable.”
Mark Twain
Wait, a fox-girl?
Sakura Spirit is a wonderful story about one guy and some “special” girls. The situations are very funny and sometimes so absurd that you can’t not laugh. But and that is the point you have to know, its like you read a book or a manga or something else. A visual novel isn’t a “real” game where you can interact with your environment. You get some beautiful wallpapers from those girls that show you the current situation. But that’s all. You have only one decision in the whole game and the story ends always equal! So i only recommend it if you like to read, are interested in an unusual funny story and see some great wallpapers with some ecchi. Otherwise i can’t recommend this visual novel for you.
