TL;DR: Recommended ONLY when on sale, maybe around 30% off or more. It doesn’t worth it in full price.
Pros:
-
Cute girls.
-
Good moving image H-scenes.
-
Good optimization unlike other H-game on steam that use Unity as the game engine. I often found H-game that use Unity will gobble up your cpu to 100%, but not with this game.
Cons:
- The SLG part are very lacking, mainly you will use your money to cook the menu then use the remaining money to increase the stats of the girls, increase your manager level, and customize your cafe in that order. You don’t really need to put much thought to play the SLG part which is the main point of the game and this is a problem.

7/10. A push for gameplay in a medium largely bereft of it and a story with interesting lore and surprising twists are thwarted by a poor translation and uncertainty on where perception ends and reality begins.
First: There’s some post-story content that is currently untranslated. I made a machine translation for it, which you can find if you check the Steam guides for the game. I strongly recommend not looking at it until after you’ve completed the full story (it won’t make a lick of sense otherwise), but it should be mentioned.

The Mikado Birdgirl in Taichung
Review with accompanying screenshots and video in Sinical Network
https://www.sinicalanimenetwork.com/post/the-mikado-birdgirl-in-taichung-review
I recently received a free key of this game from 李處守 through my friend ipa as a translator and beta-tester for this game. The Mikado Birdgirl in Taichung is Erotes Studio’s sixth visual novel release (fourth in Steam) fitting into the romance and thriller genre with science fiction themes. This is a direct sequel to its earlier title The Leopard Catgirl in Miaoli where we follow the male protagonist Wang Cheng-En in a fictitious alternate reality where the island of Taiwan is split into more than 20 different states after every town and city voted for independence. Cheng-En had to flee his hometown of Miaoli after becoming a fugitive and joined a leopard catgirl Pisuka Riya, and a mikado birdgirl Mika, on a new mission in Taichung.

First of all this is a Sequel to “The Leopard Catgirl in Miaoli” so if you havent played that yet then I recommend checking it out before. Now to the sequel this really feels like an improved version of the first game. The few things that I didnt like about the original were fixed or just improved like the text settings, the resolution and also the translation. They also added voice acting, although I didnt really find it necessary or adding much as it was just kinda monotone. Apart from that the soundtrack was not as fitting in this one and the story was also a bit boring if I am honest cause the entire concept is just very similar to the original game with the exception that the main girl changed and that the country and the bad guys are different. The structure of the story however is quite similar.

After Meeting
It’s basically a matching game. I enjoyed going through it, but knowing what kind of game it was would have been helpful. You’re just trying to find which objects are similar or themed similarly.

故事還不錯,但遊戲有bug。我不能 overwrite我的save如果我用Fullscreen mode.連退出遊戲和存當都要window mode 才可見效。請修改你的遊戲軟健.

Raptor Boyfriend: A High School Romance
Admittedly, I am really not one for visuals novels as a whole. Rather, I tend to be far more critical of any writing-focused media, which leads me to come across as hyper negative and critical about the works I am providing feedback on.
With that in mind, I hope this comes as a breath of fresh air because, much to my own surprise, I have been thoroughly enjoying this game.
The writing is fairly competent and many of its odd little quirks generally don’t stay too long passed their welcome. There are a couple of cringe-inducing moments, but they are either intentional or feel in line with the characters and setting involved. There is honestly not too much I could weigh in on here because I have the feeling the creators already have an adequate enough understanding of pacing given how little filler is present in the dialogue.

I was drawn in by the unique art style, especially for the genre, and prospect of dating a totally radical raptor and got fully invested.
Raptor Boyfriend is a rather goofy coming of age romance that is able to organically use its premise to tell a heartwarming story that also tackles serious issues. You may play a girl aiming to kiss a stunt performing prankster raptor but her social anxieties, his personal struggles and how their feelings for each other develop are very much real.
I played all the routes and while the episodic format can make each come off a little formulaic, the main love interests still have their unique conflicts, are all interesting and sincere, and every path is well-written. Nonetheless, the titular raptor boyfriend touched me the most emotionally to the extent that I found myself playing through his route repeatedly.

LoveSick Darlings
LoveSick Darlings is a grounded, realistic, emotional story about a close group of friends at school growing up and trying to understand their own feelings - as well as the feelings of those around them. You play as Syd, a sixteen-year old boy who goes to Foster Hill High - a school in a quiet Australian town. The school year is coming to a close and Syd has to decide whether he confesses his feelings to his crush - all this while juggling the several other friendships and potential love interests in his life.
Such as Maisy, the wild and outgoing girl who lives on the same street as Syd and calls him her “best friend.”
Jayda, the sweet and awkward artsy weeb who loves anime and video games and thinks the world of Syd.
And of course the cool and intellectual Steph, who loves books and music… and who happens to be the person that Syd has been crushing on all year.
Spend time with these characters in a close-knit friendship group over the last four weeks of school, developing your friendships potentially into something more! But be careful, each decision you make can affect the entire friendship group. Spend too much time with one character, and another may get jealous. Or say something mean to someone, and someone else may think less of you for it. Or alternatively: maybe if you say something mean, another character might like you more for it! LoveSick Darlings is packed with group conversations where you get to know characters by watching how they interact with others as well as yourself.
Determine the fate of Syd and all his friends as you help him make some of the hardest decisions in his life. Choose whether to confess your feelings, accept or deny the feelings of others, sabotage or repair broken friendships, and get to know Syd’s friends in a way that he never did before. Enjoy these last few weeks of the school year while they last, and make your limited time count to the fullest!
And ultimately decide: who will you ask out to the school dance?

Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For-
Does a robot have a soul? Especially if it’s a kawaii android girl?
This question has been a central theme in quite a few visual novels and anime shows already. Just to name two of the earliest entrants: Chobits and planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~ came out more than a decade ago.
So then, what novelty does Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- bring to the table? Personally, I particularly liked that the premise of the story was something believable, presenting a very plausible real-life scenario in the future.
– Real player with 21.0 hrs in game
In my experience, visual novels are poorly-written, which is a real shame – the combination of audiovisual cues and written word could really lend itself toward breathing new life into old ideas. Unfortunately, Lucy is yet another example of a visual novel that falls short and leaves its medium under-utilized.
The premise of Lucy is interesting, and I had been hoping to see an intriguing exploration of the problems and ethics behind human-android interaction, and while this does briefly come up in the game, it’s only touched on in a superficial and immature way.

Student Union
Lane is in trouble and needs work, ASAP. At the kick-off of his final year of high school, he turns to asking the faculty for help. The assistant principal Mr. Underwood recommends a unique solution: form and lead a student organization dedicated to the support and maintenance of the institution. However, Lane must convince at least four other students to join the group before the end of the week.
Underneath this pretext he quickly learns the school administration is more sinister than it seems, that great danger lies within the school walls, and that the group he’s forming may be more necessary than he realized.
