Doodle Date is a joke you and the game work together to tell. Using the simple design of a dating simulator, the game asks the player to fill in images meant to make that player laugh, the text reactions and situations the images are used for doing a good job of facilitating some funny moments. The plot is quite clearly constructed around the idea of amusing the player rather than giving too much meaning to the events or dating, but it does do some unexpected exploration of the concepts behind one creator drawing a character to life for the purposes of romance. Not really demanding any artistic skill, Doodle Date is an effective skeletal structure for setting up some silly moments, making it a game about having a laugh rather than having some deeply involved dating story or a well developed art platform.

Don’t take these doodles lightly! This VN is killer!

You’re the Creator! You create doodles that pull you into a world of blank pages and dreams that you imagine. Claire is your first drawing and she’s the one who pulls you into this mysterious and new world.

The game starts off as your standard visual novel. You have choices and various endings (3 to be exact). The only difference here is that you get to draw the key points of the game.

I used a tablet to draw and they STILL looked a hot mess. The dialogue is very tongue in cheek and took me by surprise. I have to say, the overall plot towards the end was a huge surprise to me.

Dinosaur Shakespeare: To Date or Not To Date?

Dinosaur Shakespeare: To Date or Not To Date?

I guess I am one of the first reviews and I can see why. This game is not worth the asking price.

The game is pure nonsense. The self-awareness jokes are out of place and completely random.

There is no pacing, at all. The game is unnecessarily obtuse and convoluted in almost every facet of its writing and aesthetic. All of the clashing elements, which feel intentional, do not function well together and make the game incredibly difficult to follow or mentally gel together. The designs of the characters do not factor into their personality or habits at all. They don’t even seem to have a point or theme behind them. Beyond their interpersonal conflicts with each other, they are just “wacky and random” much like the game itself.

Flirt

Flirt

My life changed approximately six hours ago.

I married my high school sweetheart three and a half years ago. I thought she was the one. I thought. Until she started throwing little quips at me just to get on my nerves. Stuff like, “You never do the laundry!” and “why do you smell so bad?” I hated it. I hated my life. How did I manage to get stuck with this woman? What did I do wrong?

Then it happened.

Flirt was released. My world was rocked.

I met the love of my life here, thirty-seven minutes and eighteen seconds ago. She never complains about me smelling bad. She never says my clothes are dirty.

Flirt is a good of communication and making new friends to hang out with online or offline. Flirt was created to simulate a dating world that’s not Tinder or any other dating sites or services. I loved Comedy Night since the day I bought it in 2017 and this is now another one of my favourite games by Lighthouse Studios now too! Sure this game was not advertised nor released properly but it’s not the worse outcome. I played for a few hours of release and can say it was good outcome so far. The player base needs improvement and better stuff added such as emotes and perks for the hearts. Overall it has potential just needs some work. Good Job Lighthouse Studios!!

Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator

Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator

First of all, I DID like the game. But it was, at the same time, deceiving. I’d give it a 6/10, but if it were the right price, I’d give it a 8.5/10 for sure.

Let’s start with the good things about it: it is a very enjoyable, nice and light game. Most dads are also charming, the art is great, too.

But on the other hand… routes are extremely, extremely short. Takes around 45 minutes to complete each route. Not only that, but the endings are very limited, only having 2 endings, so there’s no room for replaying it to find the rest of the endings. I remember the Official Twitter promised multiple endings per dad. You don’t get to know the characters, and most of the time, it doesn’t really feel like you’re flirting with them. I only got that impression with Damien. It’s like you guys are obviously just friends until the end of the third date where you suddenly kiss and love each other. I was really excited to do Brian’s route, but was very deceived to find that his route is just… being rivals and at the very end kissing. Nothing more. It felt empty and superficial, despite the cute shirtless moment or the final kiss and hug at Amanda’s party. Didn’t feel like a real developing relationship. I think that it wasn’t only because of how short the route is, but because of how it was written as well. You could also have a short route where it does seem like they’re flirting, like Damien’s.

Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator doesn’t really live up to what the store page tells you, nor to most of the positive reviews it received. You’re better off reading positive as well as negative reviews to get an idea of the actual content. I’m not going to say that Dream Daddy is a bad Visual Novel, it’s just not what one might expect at first.

I have mixed feelings about this game, and I can’t deny that I’m slightly disappointed. You see, it was one of those games I was really looking forward to since it claims to be a BxB dating sim. I know it probably sounds stupid, but I usually wait before I purchase a game that I really want, just to build up some more excitement, or to pass time until the game is running properly. The longer I wait, the more I’m actually anticipating the moment when I finally decide to play it. After seeing that this title is so hyped on Steam and YouTube, my expectations naturally grew to an extent where it is almost unavoidable not to feel slightly disappointed now and then. Nevertheless, after figuring out that one year after release was enough time of waiting, I finally started to play it. Alas, it didn’t turn out like I hoped it would.

Cursed Lands

Cursed Lands

An outstanding VN-RPG-quest crossover

I was expecting another bland, unnecessarily dragged out visual novel with uninspired, repetitive missions, but I was taken for a real treat here—kept replaying with different initial conditions (race, job, supporting character branching choice) over and over, enjoying every single play.

Visual Novel (VN) perspective: Story branching is rich and, as general VN WinterWolves titles go, you have an almost immediate option to go back—typically less than half a minute in gameplay, couple minutes or hours in the game world—to the last choice and change it to study other outcomes. I like this unique branching feature—it is like a quick time machine, or a very smooth and synoptic reload action that permits me to change my choice without having to repeat a known portion of play and grind once again.

I bought this game on sale, and I’m glad I did, it wasn’t worth the full price. I bought it because it was created by the same team who did Loren Amazon Princess, a game I loved. It’s unfortunate then, that this game is average at best. There are a few problems I have with this game that I feel affected my enjoyment of the game:

1. Characters/Romance

This is the big one, so i’m putting it first. The characters all had great introductions, and are really interesting. Unfortunately, the game screws this up deeply as it progresses. You don’t get to chose when to talk to the characters, their icon’s pop up when the game decides it’s time for their event to start, so you never truly get to know these characters beyond their surface introduction. The game prides itself on giving you romance options, and even advertises that you can trigger more then one romance scene. It isn’t hard, it’s like the game WANTS you to be a serial skirt chaser, and even when you do trigger these scenes, there’s no build up. Characters will spontaneously confess their feeling for you, claiming they always felt something for you. Your character will reply in kind, but you know this is false. Your POV character never felt anything of the sort, their lying.

New Gundam Breaker

New Gundam Breaker

I own Gundam Breaker 3 on PS4. And this “New” version is without a doubt worst. But, on its own, it’s playable. I wasn’t sure about buying it first, so I decided to watch some streams before, and I liked what I saw.

Gundam Breaker is a series in which you create your own Gunpla, a model of a true machine. So, you don’t “really” play Gundam here, rather you play the role of a kid who uses a Gunpla to battle some other kids in a VR game. The parts you can use come in two sizes, 1/144 and 1/100. In GB3, the bigger parts had better stats, but here it seems there’s just a difference in size. You can paint your gunpla however you want, and it’s possible to create a true Frankenstein’s monster if that is your goal. Once your gunpla is finished, you can step into the arena and begin to fight.

Real player with 136.8 hrs in game

Let me get this straight - the reason why i’m recommending this game, is because it hasn’t been abandoned, it is being updated, and it has gone a little better since it’s launch. If you are a Gundam fan, and Gunpla fan, there is something for you in this game, the freedom to build and customize is great (not as good as GB3, but that is a console exclusive), the quantity of MS you can get parts is great (250 since last update), a great selection, many custom parts to add to your build, though a bit limited on how many you can put on, graphics are really good, has original music from many series which you can select which ones you want to play during combat.

I had fun playing the game. Although the main story being almost only dialogues, it has fun characters and an

exciting story showing some things we all as people are going through… A new virus, quarantines, fake news, negationism… I took 2 hours to complete the game. The online mode is fun too, I played it with a friend… We danced, kissed and drank some booze LOL

Our Life: Beginnings & Always

Our Life: Beginnings & Always

A masterpiece

I am - and I cannot stress this enough - utterly and irrevocably in love with this game. Now, I might be biased, seeing as I grew up on a coastal tourist-filled town, but this game just evokes such a nostalgic feeling deep within me. It has made me reminisce quite a few things about my childhood and overall early - and not so early - life, and has given me plenty of food for thought. Now, to get a bit more into detail, I’m gonna list all of the pros and cons I can think of:

Real player with 495.1 hrs in game

Don’t write reviews too often, but this game is an absolute masterpiece. From the cute interactions between the characters to the extreme amounts of customization, this game might aswell be perfect. (And it’s still in development!)

GENERAL GAMEPLAY:

In the game, you grow up alongside the love interest, Cove, as you gradually become older. Overtime, you form a stronger bond with Cove and can, eventually, start dating him. But this is entirely optional! You can decide to stay as friends, or even not be interested in him whatsoever. (Although, that would break my heart.)
