Murder Diaries

Murder Diaries

An unusual idea, but at the same time very exciting. That’s what make this game unique.

I mean content-plot, it is not just a short story. MOREOVER, while playing you are getting more and more new adventures. Our task is to collect some fragments of the story and finally investigate murder.

Pros: interesting plot, good graphic, well-chosen soundtrack

Cons right now can’t be noticed by me, i might played too little time to notice them.

And to conclude, this game is something unusual, not like others one. Really good one to spend free time

Interesting game and looking forward to the next chapters. One thing that surprised me is that though the date is 300 years in our future, when I stepped into the office I saw stacks of reams of paper, a photocopier that would fit in any of our offices today, desk telephones and fans, etc. I honestly would expect the office equipment to be maybe vaguely recognisable and I would not expect to find a copier and reams of paper. Surely in 300 years there will truly be paperless offices. When I look into the future I expect to see the future. Hell, the original Star Trek did much better than this.

Please read (I don’t want this to come off sassy):

So I have a medium to beefy PC, with a higher end GPU. I also do 3d Modelling, animation, game development, and play a lot of games with the highest graphics settings (currently breezing through The Medium and Tomb Raider SOTTR on the highest settings).

After having installed this game without even beginning to play it, I for the first time, saw artifacting from my GPU with it blowing over the 8GB, meaning that the way this game was made is demanding more than what’s necessary.

A serious subject displayed with minimalist elegance and rhetorical gameplay. Video games are also great at that: to convey important, personal and yet universal experiences.

Don’t let my game time fool you, the game is finished in 16 minutes.

I am not fond of platformers in “normal” times. But Otterways made an amazing game that conveys a message all of humanity (men and women) should all learn.

If you can save buying a coffee on your week, you can buy the game, and possibly a few keys to share with whoever you want!

POWERTRIP

The game is worth about $0.25.

The controls weren’t tight - If you pressed a key, it was delayed when you released it, so you would very easily fall off of platforms during the parkour section.

The sneaking section was not a sneaking section, and also was RNG based, making it extremely difficult to make progress. Constructive criticism? Perhaps making a clicking timer so the player will know when it’s about to turn back on, even if the amount of time between the lights turning on was randomized.

Creepy Tale 2

Heavily inspired by European folklore and Grimm's Fairy Tales Book by Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm, Creepy Tale 2 is bringing back the creepy universe from its predecessor.

Plot: Following the same footsteps, Creepy Tale 2 explores the tragic story of our young braveheart, Lars, and his family. After a peaceful day's work, Lars finds himself tired and decides to hit bed early, only to be woken up by loud noises coming from downstairs.

The first half of the game was excellent, especially the witch's house, I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life, but the puzzles got progressively worse toward the end due to 'trial and error' and exposition dump. You can finish the story in about 3 to 5 hours, there are 2 endings and several optional achievements. Overall, I still think it's an improvement from the first game, they dropped the whole platforming gimmick in favor of a more traditional 'adventure' gameplay. Now they didn't implement the mouse interface to complement the new format, but the way you interact with some of the death-traps favors the keyboard/controller movement - so I can understand why they went into that direction. I still feel like the game had a lot of moon logic, not as bad as the first game, but there were more than a few convoluted solutions. To give the game a little credit, even though there were many good and bad puzzles, those that were good were extremely creative, with just the right amount of challenge. My main problem with puzzles is that toward the second half the levels felt very short, and it's almost like they were making content with no direction.

## Lightform

Well, this game seems to have only negative reviews.. few reviews, but all negative..

And while the artwork may seem nice - and I liked them - the gameplay basically sucks.

You're given no tutorial at all, but you'll easily understand that you'll control a light spark that will move with.. golf-like launches. Like, in Worms, do you remember?

The main issue is that you'll have to launch your ball aiming in a 3D environment with crappy controls - you'll fall off the stairs 9 times over 10.

The game has a white curve that should predict where your shot is aimed to.. but it fails. If you should land on a platform, most likely you'll land in the air and die and restart.

Game can't be completed. Lvl 26 has an impossible jump. Also some collectibles are in places where it is impossible to jump. Could be a decent game and i'm willing to recommend it if these things get fixed but in it's current state i simply can't.

Update: So it seems that the game can be completed if you are willing to bust your balls. You are able to perform a second jump while making your first jump and using that (more like abusing it) you can accomplish the impossible jumps.

This isn't shown or expained anywhere and i don't know if it is intended or just a glitch. Second jump is way unreliable and i cannot make it work every time and even if i do it doesn't behave the same way every time.
