Bonkey Trek Quimdung Edition
So is it QUIMDUNG or QUICKDING? I can’t keep track.
It’s really nice to see super obscure games re-released on steam, especially with the death of flash.

Majotori
Simply awesome, and super funny :)
This game consists of lots of trivia questions and pop culture references, all packed in an awesome cartoonish graphic setting!
There are literally tons of different questions, mainly revolving into as I said pop culture, cartoons, movies, anime and so on, and you’ve always got to choose between four different answers.. the rounds are made of nine questions each, but the most important thing is that.. everything’s always enveloped in a story!
A funny one, with different endings and so on!

Excuse me but I have to write this out loud:
THIS GAME IS AWESOME.
Yes, that’s a highly subjective assessment, but let me tell you why I already love it after playing it just for a little while. Of course, this short review contains SPOILERS, so be aware of that before continuing to read my thoughts.
Running on the Unity engine (and being proof that there ARE good games using Unity) the graphics are kept simple still. Possibly there could be more (shadows, lights and all that) but this game doesn’t need it, as it works great with its simplistic, fun and cartoonish style. If you haven’t seen pictures or a trailer, think of South Park but slightly different. Being quiz-themed you’ll very often encounter text boxes flying in but there’s way more well done “retro pixel art” in this game than one might assume at first. Depending on which “story” you’re playing there are some simple and yet captivating backdrops, urban scenery or even stuff in space. I’m still a sucker for nice “old school” game art, and the graphics in this game work extremely well for me.

Despotism 3k
This title successfully resparked a sorely-missed dedication to just beat the damn thing! I missed such a challenge since I was a kid.
I must disagree with users saying random events are the only way to win - admittedly it may seem that way at first though. Rather, this game roots heavily into pop-culture references, with the tell-tale answer to most questions seemingly being the most far-fetched one (if, of course, you don’t get the reference). I can think of a couple of scenarios out of the odd 50 or so that I didn’t seem to understand myself, and thus these one’s specifically become a trial and error situation - but even then, that’s a game mechanic that’s been in use for decades! Not a defecit to gameplay.

Somewhat in the direction of FTL, but in a way that you only have to take care of four things in order to progress the game. I played Despotism 3k on the mobile too, but I find it to be more difficult with the tiny screen on my device and without the mouse. Therefor I bought this game on Steam instead and tried it out.
So far, the game utilizes heavily on the RNG events, whether if it’s a good one, a bad one or a mixed one. If you don’t plan things accordingly, then it’s a game over. I failed multiple times, mostly because of the bad events happening which caused decent amount of problems to my power supply. And the power supply on this game is crucial to your survival. Each day, your power supply needs more juice in it, making it difficult to upgrade things as you progress on.

Brutal Orchestra
Hieronymus Bosch’s Brutal Orchestra is a Turn-Based Roguelike Strategy Game with resource management and deck-building elements. Employ the help of damaged and daring fools, equip ancient and insidious items and make deals with the devil on your path to revenge.
Revenge
You died. Someone killed you. You are now in Purgatory and you will never escape. Make a deal with the “demon” Bosch and set off into this brutal and bastardous world, finding all manner of demented and degenerate friends and foes on your quest to get petty revenge.
Pigment:
Purgatory bleeds pigment. It is a strange substance that Bosch has granted you the ability to control. Channeling pigment allows one to perform powerful and absurd abilities. Pigment comes in many colours, each derived from a different source, some even of your own flesh.
Fools:
This may be a place of the dead but even here there are still poor fools eking out a pathetic existence. Some would make for valuable party members or at least entertaining conversation. Most, however, are dim wits or damaged beyond all reason.
Hell:
Purgatory is not a gentle place, it is a writhing dump of all that has died in many worlds. Endless deserts of pale sand are stalked by parasitic fish. Storm-cloaked mountain tops hide ungodly things above and below. The Garden waits for you at the end of time.
Hieronymus Bosch’s Brutal Orchestra was developed by Maceo bob Mair and Nicolás Delgado. With Sound Design by Pato Flores and Chris Dang and Composed by Publio Delgado.

Okay, let’s get serious. This game is amazing for it’s price. It’s a complex puzzle box from the depths of hell! It’s filled with all kinds of secrets, changing gameplay, gratuitous violence, sex, human sacrafice and amazing atmosphere for something that just uses the pixel graphics!

I HIGHLY recommend this lovingly-constructed tribute to the ’80s' most iconic horror films. It has the puzzle-solving feel of old Sierra On-Line adventure games (e.g. King’s Quest and Quest for Glory), in that there are several well-defined obstacles, which can be overcome in a variety of ways, limited mostly–but not entirely–by the player’s creativity.
The “collection” features four full games, each one a tribute to a set of horror films from the ’80s. Respectively, the games pay tribute to the Friday the 13th series; The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes; Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street; and finally Alien and The Thing. The game’s own lore recapitulates some major themes from these films as well, besides that of masked, blade-wielding serial killers: there are twisted family relations, backwoods satanic cults, revenge from beyond the grave, haunted video games, plus references to an in-game “true story” on which the Lakeview Cabin “movies” are based. It’s tempting to say more, but I don’t want to spoil anything!

Sick Way
–——- UPDATED REVIEW: (Jan 17, 2021) ———
This developer is a sixteen year old solo developer just trying to make a fun challenging game and deliver a great value for your dollar. He was only 15 years old when he first launched this game that i reviewed with my brutal and harsh 2 out of 10 score you see below!
He completely re-made this game in February of 2020, and I took another look back then, and again I advised him of the problems with this game and if i remember correctly, I said he was trying to do way too much and it hurt his 2nd attempt to make a fun game.

Interesting!
At first, I was afraid to buy the game because of what someone mentioned in the community hub but the dev listened and has made this a pleasurable experience! Story is actually pretty good and horror elements are well placed.

Scrap Seas
Scrap Seas is a Vehicle 3rd-Person Shooter Action Rogue-Like. Build your ship and fill it to the brim with every kind of weaponry you can find. Then take it out into the ocean to take part in fast-paced generated sea battles against your Robot Overlords.
FIGHT!
Use your fire power and maneuvering skills to sink ships, robots, and other stuff. Destroy your enemies, and save those you care about. Use your boosters to ram into enemy ships head on or to flee like a coward. Just make sure you don’t DIE, because if you DIE you’ll die forever, and it’s pretty easy to DIE.
BUILD YOUR SHIP
Start with a boat and fight your way to an AWESOME BOAT! Take that boat and fill it with every kind of cannon, laser beam, and whatever the hell else you can find. You can also collect comic book panels which can provide a variety of buffs to your ship. Ah, and don’t forget about melee weapons. Every boat worth piloting needs some buzz saws, or at least some electrified spikes.
PLOT YOUR COURSE
Navigate your way around a generated map. Ensure that you have enough supplies for your journey. Choose your battles wisely…or unwisely, I don’t care. I’m not your dad.
USE YOUR WORDS!
Are you a hero or a coward? An idealist or a pragmatist? A lover or a fighter? Express your character through Scrap Seas comic book panel encounters.
