Surgeon Simulator
Oh Surgeon Simulator. It is one of those games that you will either love or hate with a passion.
This game is famous for many reasons but the main one is its controls. It makes the game incredibly challenging and it is why a lot of people are finding this game frustrating and not enjoyable.
The physics on everything is overly exaggerated. Combining this with the hilariously awkward arm controls means every movement you make is a recipe for disaster and some great laughs.
Since the original version, more surgeries were added, offering you a much more polished experience. They’ve also tightened the controls enough where the surgeries are actually beatable. Many secrets and Easter eggs were also included, my favorites being the Alien and Donald Trump surgeries that I found hilarious and fun. I’ve played for multiples hours already and the laughs haven’t stopped.

Long spoken of as myth, fairy-tale or merely the raving delusions of a mad man, an ancient and mysterious evil has awoken and proven itself a very real and dangerous threat to all in the once pleasant land of Infirmary. But there is yet hope as a band of unlikely heroes unite to vanquish this foe and send it back to the vile domain from whence it came. Play the roles of plucky Pinkie, the young but eager son of a blacksmith, Ring, the exiled princess trying to win back her rightful place as heir to the throne, the short-tempered Middle with a past shrouded in secrecy and an apparent score to settle, Thumb, the stoic and noble paladin sworn to defend the realm, and their brave leader Index, who together form the brotherhood of The Hand of Nigel, as they set forth on adventure in a world filled with peril at every turn.

Godly Corp
What a great hidden gem!
A game where you play as a tentacle monster working in an office already promisses originality.
I was reluctant at first, not beeing an avid indie games player, but after playing it for a bit, it really grew on me.
The controls take a while to master, which is a good thing: the feeling of achievement after beating harder levels on hard difficulty is truly great!
The game isn’t very long, about 2 - 4 hours on average to play through all levels. It isn’t a bad thing though, because you can always keep trying to beat the previous high score or other players' scores on theglobal leaderboard.

The Short of it: Not exactly my cup of tea in the long run, but I get why it’s popular. It can be funny, frustrating, and challenging. I think the humour is its best quality. It truly tests your multi-tasking limits.
Reminds me of: If you liked any of those surgeon simulator type games, you’ll probably like Godly Corp.

Manual Samuel - Anniversary Edition
I would like to recommend this game, really, but the final act totally ruins the experience, bringing everything to a grinding halt for what is otherwise a humor and story driven game.
It’s got fair-to-ok humor, lots of jokes that reminded me of the old Diskworld games, especially with the narrator interactions. However the humor is clearly targeting men, as the jokes are mostly physical humor, denigration and toilet laughs. Samuel literally pisses all over himself, and repeatedly vomits as a function of the game, which often comes across as lazy humor.

What is Manual Samuel ?
For a game that started pretty well with a funny sense of humor and a nice personality, its a huge shame it felt so hard on its face, Manual Samuel presents itself as a overconfident indie game but everything is just so pretentious and kinda mediocre towards the end, in fact after the initial moments the game started losing momentum, for a game that presented itself as something refreshing and well-done early to become something so boring and uninsteresting so fast was a huge shame, lets talk about why below.

Just, Bearly
I really wish steam had a “meh” option.
The game and concept are AWESOME and the game is really great.
But I can not give this a good rating for a few reasons:
-
It took me about 30 minutes of play time to get it to be more then just a white screen and be playable
-
It crashes once every chapter near the end, this means you that to finish the game I have had to play each chapter just about twice
-
I have finished the game 5 times and have yet to get the achievement for finishing it twice.

Okay, its harsh to vote it down, i know. But hear me out.
1st) i think a game with more than overwhemlingly positive reviews can take it. so lets be honest.
2nd) Game is fun and a good idea, but it does have issues.
Now that these Main Points are out of the way, let me explain.
First off, the game is free, i’d highly recommend you trying it out if you are interessted (or even if you are not, actually) but i also want to warn people about some stuff. Its short - and i mean super super short. Like 20 mins. This isnt bad, lots of free games are pretty short.

Speaking Simulator
I, like many humans, enjoy the process of moving facial muscles in order to make audible sounds of communication. I recommend this educational experience to any fellow biological human who wishes to inefficiently spend time having what is often called fun.
Also contains inspirational messages about the future which can help briefly dampen the crushing effects of the fragile human condition.

It is difficult to convey how much of a struggle moving my mandible muscles in tandem with emoting my human eyebrows and lips while not making too much or too little eye contact in the same time period; however it provides me great solace that I can shake my human booty in a more sexually attractive and pleasing manner than Karen from HR and her robotic gyrations. After participating in this speech exercise program, I am well on my way to dominating the feeble minds of the weak humans inhabiting my town, then soon the world.

Goop Loop
During the frustrating first play-through of this game I was convinced that it was not a game where you would eventually be able to consistently get past obstacles but I immediately proved myself wrong in the second run. Don’t get me wrong it is still hard but it is definitely a lot more manageable. I definitely recommend it if you like foddian games and if you aren’t afraid of a challenge.

Physics platformers are notorious for being insanely hard.
This one’s no exception. But it does have some quirky/clever vocal (English only) tutorial, that only really speaks up if and when you’re having trouble. I was actually quite amused by how the game knew when to say “You should slow down”, versus pretty much pre-emptively telling me I screwed up when I passed a point of no return.
It’s like having the developer commentary from Half-Life (But more quirky/punny), the goopiness of Gish (With more freedom of movement), and the jankiness of, well, basically every physics platformer out there. My hand started hurting after about an hour, so I had to take a break, but I’ll definitely be trying to finish it after I take a break.

YOLKED - The Egg Game
The moment I saw the concept of the game, I knew this was going to be very fun. Having a “casual” kinetic platformer/climber game with egg theme totally works, not just on screenshots and videos.
The game is somewhat comparable to stuff like Getting Over It, Jump King or even classic QWOP except here you have checkpoints and your egg character can easily crack/die(get yolked) instead of just falling all the way down to the level and losing all progress.
Visuals of the levels are well made and there are a lot of details/humour from devs, you might even call there is a “story” in each background. And artistically, it reminds me of Bit Trip Runner 2 and 3 art style, with how everything is wacky, chaotic, and related to you, everything is big obviously.

Had an egg-credibly fun time exploring this with my community!
Eye-pleasing graphics, great music & very satisfying egg violence.
The checkpoints are placed well to reward overcoming the challenges in each level.
Fellow grown-ups might enjoy it even more with their favourite adult beverage!
Not super long, but for an early access game what you get is well polished and there’s bits and pieces to explore off the main path. Looking forward to seeing what gets added!
