Grandma’s Footsteps

Grandma’s Footsteps

Inspired by the classic children’s game: ‘Red Light Green Light’… comes a… not so children’s game.

The Story

You are staying at your Grandma’s house for the weekend to keep her company. Now, your Grandma is famous in the family for her cookies! And being the ‘cookie-loving’ grandson that you are, you cannot keep your mind off of her scrumptious, freshly baked goods!

As you explore through the different rooms of Grandma’s house, you notice Grandma getting on with her day to day house-work and activities: sweeping the hallway, cleaning the dishes, catching up on knitting projects and so on…

You and Grandma are best of friends! She takes you to the park to feed the ducks, to the beach to build sandcastles together and she always has her renowned cookies an arms length away! You’ve always wanted to learn to make cookies with her, but every time you ask to she refuses, saying how she’ll take her secret cookie recipe to the grave with her!

As the years have gone by, Grandma’s eyes have been getting worse, as has her memory! She always forgets where she leaves her glasses.

She likes to joke when she tells you her bedtime stories, saying how she carries a shotgun on her at all times in case intruders try to steal her recipe!! Grandma does make you laugh, you love her silly stories!

The Game

So how do you play Grandma’s Footsteps?

Grandma’s house is made up of 6 different rooms (levels). To unlock the next room along you will need to approach grandma in the current room you are in to receive a cookie!

But Grandma is always on the look out for intruders after her secret cookie recipe!

Grandma isn’t wearing her glasses, meaning she cannot see her Grandson properly… So when she turns around… don’t move, or else her bedtime stories you so well know and love, may just become reality…

Life is Pointless

Life is Pointless

The main reason I got this game is to get the achievement “Life is Pointless” for my (pointless) home page. Now I am thinking whether it is easier to get it here, or to make my own pointless game with a similar achievement and publish it on Steam.

Of course, both these solutions are equally pointless. As this game is. As everything is.

Probably not worth the money, but money is pointless anyways. You will be exchanging pointless money for pointless points - basically like any other game.

I see no point to recommend this game. But what’s the point to not recommend it?

Very good game I really enjoy the level of satisfaction of gaining points with every keystroke I make. Personally I find the story of the game to be quite lacking, however this is easily fixed by playing another game. The objective for anyone who thinks about acquiring this game, should be to acquire the achievement “depression”. I wish more content could be added to really fill the void and bring a higher level of immersion to the player, such as the character possibly crying or banging their head against the desk after a certain period of time in game. All in all this is a very good game and I would recommend it to anyone with 99 cents burning a hole in their pocket.

2€. Enough for rating it down.

This game should be supposed to be a satyrical thing but there’s nothing to laugh about.

Graphics are simply terrible, drawn in Paint back in the ’90s. Music and sounds are annoying.

And the game is simply nothing. You get only one info in the “tutorial”: click to jump. Stop.

I really haven’t found anything to laugh about in this game. It’s full of asses and shit, ok, at 30 years old I’m supposed to laugh at a badly drawn Paint strip?

The game itself as I was saying is basically nothing. A platformer in which you click to jump and to avoid the shit on the floor.

After dedicating an hour of my finite life to this game, I can assuredly say, it is bad.

While it is a vain attempt at commentary of the games industry, this single-buttoned game falls short of this.

I do know believe whoever made this deserves not only minimum wage, but to forever have pins-and-needles of the lower extremities, for their iced drinks to always warm too fast, and for their souls to burn in an eternal hellfire.

Also it looks like he has a penis when you jump.

Get it on sale.

It will be 2 pm. You are ready to do your stand up. And then be called every racist slur in the book. You will try for what seems like days to perfect your approach; and fail. You will hear people read some lines off the web, and they will get burnt. You will take part in burning them off stage.

It will be 10 pm on a thursday and hear some chick crying about how she just cain’t become a thot and she will try to get you to go to her host. You will see her kicked and every one will rejoice. You will most likely show up in the wrong room and hear conversations that are insane.

Fantastic game.

It’s got a decent set of features and types of performace options which is appreciable

but at the meat of it (ground beef of it: this game is only as good as it’s playerbase.

There are plenty of funny people on here that naturally gravitate towards what this game is all about (roleplaying, having fun, laughs) but they have to be dug up through the racist trolls and children that you can expect to find on a game priced at $4. I’m thankful there are ways to quality control your rooms via kicks and vote offs, but the options are very limited in handling your club.

Game Studio Simulator(我要做游戏)

I made a guide for switching to English, but I wouldn’t bother. I’ve played some machine-translated games and managed to enjoy them, but at least I could usually puzzle out what they meant. This is too incoherent to be playable, and shouldn’t have been released as available in English in this state.

On the other hand my eight year old found English like “eat chicken game then optimize performance” and choosing between “Dream come true” and “Happy to rude” utterly hilarious.

His input: “It’s rubbish English, isn’t it?” and a lot of laughter. He is right.
