The souls series is one of my favorite series ever, and this game is no different. ignore the hate for this game, its a good game, its just a 9 in a series of straight 11’s, one of the games has to be at the bottom and it just so happens to be this one, but that does not make it a bad game. I would recommend this game to all, including souls vets who have never played it and anyone new trying to get into the series.

DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die™ Edition
Short version :
One of the best RPG games EVER made, that’s coming from a gamer who’s played over a hundred RPG titles in his life.
Dark Souls - 9.5/10
_Long Version :
Darks Souls….. so much to say about this game.
The game throws the player in a very difficult world, not just by gameplay standards, but plotwise as well. The story / lore is depicted in such a way that it’s never speaking to the player directly, but rather to your character, it never breaks the 4th wall by directly telling the player what to do and how to do it, only the basic attack move buttons are given to you at the beginning, and from then on, you’re completely on your own for the rest of the 50+ hour journey. Unless you get a co-op partner that is._

TLDR: Yes.
Dark Souls has issues.
While most entertainment experiences go out of their way to encourage your interest, it feigns indifference to your attention.
Introducing itself via bizarre and meaningless cut scenes you find your protagonist in a pretty dull dungeon. “Oh look, a man with a sword viewed from third person” you observe with a mounting sense of déjà vu. “No doubt I have a healing potion and a sense of manifest destiny somewhere in my bag too” and reach for the reset button/cyanide pill. But Dark Souls IS different - not that it is keen to show off. Like Usain Bolt winning the Dad’s race on sport day mumbling something about how he probably jumped the gun, Dark Souls’ initial coyness infuriates and astounds with equal measure.

Tales of the Black Death
If you like narrative games with difficult moral choices, then this is the right adventure for you.
Tales of the Black Death follows the troubles of Baldasar, a young boy trying to escape the 1346 plague. His journey will take him from Italy to France, and finally to England.
The story is very engaging and effective in delivering the collective and individual drama, helped by a very inspired art style and soundtrack.
I couldn’t stop playing and found myself torn in front of many troubling decisions, feeling the urgency and the tragedy, hope at times, and worry about the fate of the protagonist.

Othercide
Othercide changes the concept of turns and introduces its own original creation, with a small dose of roguelike elements, neatly packaging it all in a freakish world, rich in lore and a whole lot of dying.
Destroy the Child, corrupt them all!
The story is shrouded in a Lovecraftian guise and leaves a lot to interpretation. The world is engrossed in an endless war with demonic creatures, as the last bastion of hope, The Mother, falls prey to the overwhelming power of The Child. But, a mother knows no rest, and even in death, she aims to free The Child from suffering, tearing pieces of her soul so she can conjure an army of her daughters that will succeed where she failed.

Memento mori
Laid in black and white with a hint of red, Othercide is a turn-based tactical game developed by indie developer Lightbulb Crew and published by Focus Home Interactive. This title’s most striking quality is its distinct, minimalistic aesthetic. The game has a similarly humble soundtrack to match with subtle ambient and whispers, disturbed by occasional musical track only in the most extraordinary of moments. Impressive both in terms of gameplay and stylistic choices, the title in question is a bittersweet journey about keeping hope amidst despair.

DEMON’S TILT
The Developer has proved that the impossible can be achieved; to actually refine an already perfect game and make it even better with every subsequent update. Pinball goes back decades and the game that Demon’s Tilt is based on is actually around almost thirty years old. The Pc Engine hosted some amazing shooters (including it’s almost arcade perfect version of R-Type), Gunhed and the aforementioned Devil Crash, which was the best occult themed pinball game ever created and nothing could ever come close UNTIL Demon’s Tilt emerged nearly three decades on the heels of Devil Crash. Three decades is a very long time to wait for a worthy successor and surprisingly, nobody tried to replicate or improve on Devil Crash until now…first enter the developer of Demon’s Tilt and later the publisher who came on board and the game went from being pretty special to nigh-on-perfect with scaling, rotation, tons of large hand drawn sprites, shmup elements and the occult. Wow, this is like winning the lottery and every time you play this utterly stunning pinball game you are constantly rewarded with more discoveries and higher scores. The table is good stretching up three screens high and the mood is dark but when things liven up it does get hectic and very colourful. The music is straight out of a Megadrive/Genesis but the core game remains true to the Devil Crash formula. Occult pinball just got better and gets better with every update, the developer has to be seriously applauded for making the impossible happen, can you get better than perfect? He has proved that you can with a resounding YES. Every update of Demon’s Tilt either tweaks or adds something new. And we haven’t even left EA yet. For the price, you get the best pinball on Steam and for your time, you get happy memories created in seriously wanting to beat your high score again and again. Going retro with Occult Pinball with hints of Saturn, Neo Geo, and Playstation thrown in. The epitome of the perfect video pinball game 100/100 and it just keeps on getting better.

DEMON’S TILT
DEMON’S TILT is a retro-stylized pinball on a huge 3 sections table. I’ve played with Xbox controller and I believe it’s much more comfortable than keyboard for this game.
I can say only positive things about DEMON’S TILT:
-
Gameplay is very addictive and the game is a great fun for short playsessions
-
Cool music/sound effects
-
Game looks really good + there’s plenty of settings to adjust visuals/colours
-
I’m not super impressed by bosses in a current state, but the whole table in general is absolutely awesome.

Lords of Strife
I had a lot of fun with the game… for both the challenge and the atmosphere. Loved the music! Very challenging, especially for casual players such as myself. I noted that this may be a con for the game, due to certain parts being very challenging.
The look and feel of the game is fantastic! Major points for the controller compatibility and game sound volume control, which more than a few Indie games have been lacking.
I did a live review of the game, and presented my thoughts and reactions in real time (up through the first boss):

Lords of Strife is a game about pain, which isn’t evident by the colorful backgrounds and soundtrack reminiscent of classic video games, but the mood is right there in the title. The gameplay is difficult and innovative in that to move forward you will have to suffer. The platforming and puzzles will take several attempts to achieve mastery, but you will also have to adjust to enemies and how they change the levels. Several are impossible without effectively utilizing the enemies, and creatures like the frogs, owls, and coyotes provide more utility than obstacle. Your greatest weapon is determination, and the only other contender is a pitchfork. The dialogue is humorously grim. Death is frequent but, at least in the earlier stages, not a large setback, and advancing to the next screen preserves your progress. Ride those scarecrows.

Spooky Typing: The Ghost Plague
The game is challenging but really fun once you understanding the core mechanic! That’s a solid typing game! The graphics and sound effect are on point! Recommended!

Another great typing game from Sensen Games. Really simple, but with a good soundtrack and design. A couple of hours of great entertainment, totally worth the price!

YORG.io 3
EDIT: Warning: Game has been abandoned by the developer. Game is still good (multiplayer’s a wreck) but there’s not much hope for bug fixes and additional QoL/features.
The last development news was posted October 30, 2019 … then two months later (December 21, 2019 ):
“As you might have noticed, I was kinda inactive the past two months - this was mainly due to real life and the game not being as successful as I would have wished :frowning: I can’t promise when I’ll be back…”

Game is surprisingly good! Its a mix between RTS, Tower defense, and most importantly… Its a zombie game!!! Its stupidly simple for beginners and shockingly hard if you want to get to those higher waves! Although there is one thing that’s bothering me about it. The spawner boss zombie, says it in the name, it spawns zombies. But, it also has an electric arc that hits multiple buildings. And that electric arc that’s whats bothering me! Why does it have a electric arc? Its a boss that should only spawn zombies and to me, it really hurts newer players that make it to wave 50. I’ve made to a high wave and that one particular zombie is the bane of this game. It completely disrupts game-play as you frantically figure out a way to stop it. Although I’ve only 12 hours clocked into this game (as of posting this review). this one time i got a seed (or map..? Its unclear on what’s its supposed to be.) that had a crystal mine but could only place 1 crystal miner by it, due to it being mostly in the fog. If those issues don’t bother you, all the more power to you! Overall, this game is a mix of different genres, has great game-play, has few glaring issues, definitively a solid 4.5 out of 5, and the dev team working on this made a game worthy of your $7. Go pick it up and see how far you can make it! or if you’re on a browser, go see the game for yourself for FREE! Safe travels zombie killers!
