!OK PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO PLAY THE GAME! GIVE THIS GAME A CHANCE!

At first i was unsure about the game do to the lack of players and lack of knowledge i felt that there wasn’t anything to the game, after spending a few hours online and encountering the few loyal players this game has and meeting the owners, i can tell you this game has a lot of potential and the staff is very dedicated to making this game work and are open to taking requests for future updates.

the pvp in this game is really what makes it so great and i long for the day that there is always a few players online! you basically start off as an undead who’s brought back to the world after it being destroyed. you explore the map in search of materials to craft trinkets, cosmetics and spells which u can use in combat. you can build your own hidden base and fill it with shrines to get fast materials, and even set out and raid other peoples base!

The Pale City

The Pale City

I did not know what to expect when I initially dived into the Pale city- but I can say I found myself thoroughly invested in the experience.

There is a lot of effort placed into the overall writing, with some excellent bits of prose helping to underline the grimness of the Pale Citys world. It’s jarring but in a very human way to alternate between the crassness of normal conversation, before it dives into the chilling bits of monologue which help to underline the natures of the character. And there’s an underlying horror to the world at large that would be well at home in a Lovecraft novel- even without the more blatant naming of some of the enemies.

10/10 - This game is fucking awesome.

It might be a matter of taste but I found it to be an example of my “ideal” game play experience. Story-driven dark fantasy that is mechanically challenging as well. There is a particular way you have to defeat certain enemies. And there are no “random encounters” which I always found very annoying, every fight was part of the plot, to say the least. No grinding or anything.

Do not let the graphics fool you. Although I think that they actually enhance the mood of the game, some may skip this title simply because of the graphics. Do not do that. If you are interested in narrative-driven RPGs, you must get this game. It has the same amount of story and value one would receive from a well written book, making it well worth the price. I paid $3.99, since it was on sale, but I may purchase a second copy to send to a friend because I feel that this game deserves it.

The Judgement of Q

The Judgement of Q

After i tried it, i’m not considering it as a puzzle game only, but also a brainstorming game, where you think through this short trip about the meaning of life and about the truth of it (that’s how i would describe it). Great game from an ambitious developer and i hope there will be more games like this.

The judgement of Q is one of those simple games to play when you want to chill, the puzzles are thought provoking, but not frustrating. The soundtrack is soothing and harmonic with the progression of the game. The environment design is the most beautiful aspect of the game, giving the player a sense of discovery and curiosity, that goes along with the narration, which can get somewhat confusing at times, but the game is mostly visual anyway.

There are occasional FPS drops between loading screens, but nothing that will completely upset your experience. It’s an overall calm and relaxing experience with meaningful implications.

Chronotopia: Second Skin

Chronotopia: Second Skin

~~~~~~~~ Fairytale princess dies; she gets better. Love in the bargain. ~~~~~~~~
The plan was supposed to be simple, almost ridiculously so.
When her father, driven mad by years of grief, suddenly decided to force her into marrying him, Princess Kionna enlisted the help of her childhood friend. Together, they managed to contact her long-lost fairy godmother. Surely, her powers would save her from this hellish fate. Kionna would be able to escape the castle, a prince charming would find her, and they would live happily ever after.
Alas, magic can only do as much. Things keep spinning out of control. Trapped in an endless nightmare, the princess ceaselessly rewinds time in a race with death itself. Is a happy ending truly waiting for her at the end of the tunnel?
Kionna perfectly encapsulates what you would expect from a fairytale princess. Naive and sheltered, she means to do good but comes across as haughty due to her upbringing.
Unfortunately for Kionna, she cannot rely on others forever. To escape her fate, she will have to learn to fight for herself…
Nahima’s whole world revolves around Kionna. She has been her confidant for as long as she can remember and she is dead set on staying this way.
Deep down, she knows this is impossible but she is not ready to let go. After all, if Kionna truly leaves, she wouldn’t have use for her anymore, would she?
Médeia is not quite the traditional fairy godmother. She makes it abundantly clear she is not interested in becoming Kionna’s magical sidekick. The sooner she helps her, the sooner she can return to the magical realm. And that is all that matters as far as she is concerned.
Or is it? For someone who always appears so unfazed, she seems to care an awful lot…
While life is not as convenient as Kionna had hoped, her dream might not be completely out of her reach. Indeed, there are numerous handsome lords in her vicinity who would make perfectly fine suitors. Could one of them be her Prince Charming?
  • A captivating plot full of unexpected twists and existential dread
  • Over 200 000 words of content with multiple endings (20-30 hours of playtime)
  • 2 GxG (Nahima and Médeia) and 1 GxB (the “Prince”) romances can be chosen at the end of Kionna’s journey
  • Unlockable archives connecting the story to real-life European folklore
  • Several gameplay phases to experience the semi-realistic medieval world in a different light
  • Beautiful artwork, with animated backgrounds and special stained-glass illustrations
  • Frequent use of cinematic shots to make the reading more immersive
  • A full original soundtrack with celtic influences
  • Available in both English and French!
Order from Caos
Order from Caos
(Note: I will NOT judge this game based on its language. I don’t speak Portuguese, but I certainly understand what it’s like to have English as a second or third language. Just know that it is possible to understand everything that is said in the game, even though some things sound a bit strange to us. I take it as fun to try and figure out what the author initially meant to say in the first place, like a puzzle in a puzzle game!)
This certainly looked like an interesting game, so I decided to check it out! I also wanted to support the Developer since it looked like they put a lot of work into the game. It shows. The atmosphere, music, OST/SFX, and all the goodness are fun to play with and I wasn’t bored once! Sometimes you gotta grind… still wasn’t boring.
I still did not finish the game, but at the time of this writing, I’m about 15 hours on the story.
I’m really loving it! The story is captivating, the art design is quite charming and the original soundtrack is beautiful to hear.
The combat system is the classic turn-based combat. At this moment I’ve didn’t find any true difficulties (besides not staying low on mana), but it’s still quite challenging (and I’m probably still in the beggining). Trying to learn which type of spell is more effective against each monster was fun. And the spell animations are gorgeous!
What an experience! I recommend it to anyone who likes crpgs but hates combat.
Planescape Torment has a great story. The atmosphere of the game is really cool, and the soundtrack is really nice. The soundtrack for the city of Curst is my favorite. It is an old rpg, and a lot of the game is centered around dialogue options. I recommend it if you have the time to play a slower paced rpg. If you play it stat up Wisdom, Charisma, and Intelligence for expanded dialogue. It is not my favorite classic rpg in terms of combat and game play, but I’m glad I took the time to beat it and experience this classic. Great game that doesn’t just feed you the story, you have to pay attention and piece it together as you go or you might just miss the deeper meaning. What can change the nature of a man?
The prisoner of the Night
The prisoner of the Night
Certainly an interesting experience, feels almost like something I would’ve found on the Xbox or PS2, has a nice surrealist art style, solid level design, and although the platforming has a few issues it usually feels tightly controlled. If you like the demo, the full title is absolutely packed with content, definitely worth the asking price. I wouldn’t play this with a controller though, the control scheme is absolutely foul for controllers.
8/10
I haven’t finished the game yet, but I don’t know how long it is so I’ll give a quick untidy review now (I think I must be halfway through)
-The theme is very charming. The closest thing I could compare it to is a brazilian version of Little Nemo. But beware of the childish look. The game is rather gory so I wouldn’t actually recomend it for children.
The story and ambiance are very poetic. But I have a little problem with the music that is simplistic and repetitive. I discovered there’s a nice song in the credits but the devs didn’t use it in the rest of the game. They should have used some royalty free music to complement the rest of the music that seems to be original production.
In Vitra - JRPG Adventure
In Vitra - JRPG Adventure
In Vitra is a decent game. It is definitely worth the money I spent on it, and I would buy the sequel, if there was one. It is not an especially difficult game, in fact, after a few hours I found out that you could run away from the majority of the enemies, and still progess in the game. I finished the game at Level 14 for all my characters, and was able to beat the final Boss with 19 out of 25 Full Potions remaining in my Inventory (I will say that the Final Boss was a bastard to kill). JRPGs are my thing, having slogged my way through Millenium, every blessed part, and others of its kind, and God knows there are worse games in this genre than In Vitra. It’s kind of basic, but I enjoyed it and hope the producers continue to grow and create better and better product.
Real player with 12.5 hrs in game
This game I have rather mixed feelings about primarily due to the fact that the balancing in this game feels off a considerable amount. What I mean by this is that the early game is exceedingly brutal and the further you get the easier things become. This is very strange when at the start of the game everything kills you in one hit (no joke) and at the end due to the fact everything is vulnerable to status effects the final boss literally CANNOT DAMAGE YOU, or can’t damage you more than poison hurts him. I swear what is with developers making poison like the deadliest status in the universe?
