Deep Dark Fight
This game is not OK, it is bad. All sounds in game (music, jumps, sound of your death) are very annoing (but not gachi sounds of course). 1/2 of levels are VERY boring. Bosses are very boring, too. The last level had made so bad, that I deleted game. This game is not rofl-able, it is too good for that (but it is too bad to play it serios). I don’t want to play this game for free, and paying even 300$ hm hm… 1,5$ for it is silly

Creatio Ex Nihilo III: Amor Dei
After the conclusion of ‘The War of Gods’, some of the divine immortals decided to settle down on the planet of Astea where they created their own heavenly domain from where they could watch over and judge the mortal realm. They would see mortals wage war and die; over and over again. And thus, the sacred order of the universe was kept… Until a forbidden love shattered the balance between divines and mortals.
For the first time in the series, you will take on the role of a mortal. You will guide her through the barbaric life on Astea, where the road to a civilized society seems very long and uneven. You will go on an epic adventure where you will meet elves, centaurs and many other fantastical beings. But, most importantly of all, you will be swept away to the beautiful heavenly realm by a god who has been watching you and loving you as long as he remembers. However, not everything is going to turn out just like the fairy tales you were told when you were a child. Your love is not appreciated by the deathless gods ruling over you. And that has consequences. Soon you and every mortal on Astea will feel the wrath of a scorned god.

SUCCUBUS: Prologue
It’s really good. Looks amazing, runs fine.
Combat is a bit simple but it feels satisfying because the gore is really good.
For an early version of the finished game it runs quite great. And there’s even a doom reference in this.
Quote: " There’s a rumor that there was a man here in hell who laid waste with a big fucking gun, or so he called it. Quite a spectacle to be honest" - End quote
Devs are just having fun here. Way to go- MadMind. You rock.
I’d love a bit more complex combat though. Maybe some parrying or such but I’ll say this though. So far, I dont really need it. It takes from doom. Kill, rip ,tear, and heal with cool finish moves. Unique per enemy and weapon used. And there are quite a few. Cool armor system, cool point system to unlock optional lore in bestiary. As opposed to chasing files on the map. Nice addition.

It’s an interesting concept where it’s literally the reversed role from Agony. Instead of being powerless, you are powerful.
To play as a succubus fighting her way through hell to reclaim it as hers once again is a new concept. I know we have other games out there where you go through hell, Agony from what I mentioned before, as well as the game Dante’s Inferno, but they were always games where you were either powerless or you were fighting to get out or get through it. Succubus makes play the role of someone who wants to use it.

BERSERK and the Band of the Hawk
DO NOT BUY this game unless you are a huge Berserk fan (buy it on sale).
Cons:
-Its a game focused on extreme repetition, killing and killing thousands of extremely weak masses of enemies. Slash, repeat, slash repeat every single level.
-You need to play it on hard right from the start to find it a little bit more enjoyable and even then it is almost impossible to lose in any scenario.
-Scenarios have nothing special on them, they are closed, completely plain and need no exploration at all. Very repetitive.

This is a game for Berserk fans, if you’re after a more filled out hack and slash game there are better options out there. I enjoyed myself playing this title but I’m an old Berserk fan. Like similar games in the genre it can get boring once you beat the story and try out the other modes just slashing apart humans & monsters repeatedly, the different play styles of characters and the various objectives do make it more interesting, and it is a great title like others in the genre to play while watching or listening to something on the side.

Gates Of a Ruined Empire
Important information about the Pre-Alpha Demo version
The pre-alpha demo version has been released to show you the overall gameplay concept.
This version has a lot of bugs that will be removed over time. The purpose of this version is to present the current level of work on the game, and to encourage you to support the development of the game through Kickstarter.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/darkoath/gates-of-a-ruined-empire
What is this game about?
Discover the history of the fall of the Empire, which thanks to technological supremacy have grown for hundreds of years, imposing conquered nations their laws, ideas and religion, while brutally suppressing all forms of resistance. See what happens to society when all dogmas turn out to be fiction.
Let’s play some Real Time Strategy!
-
Enjoy the multiplicity of configurations in a complex combat system, allowing you to adapt the weaponry and specialization of your units.
-
Focus on strategy and tactics instead of rage clicking and memorizing keyboard macros.
-
Accept the fact that dice rollovers are cool, and everything that is based on static data is boring.
More information soon.
Add us to your wishlist and wait for news about project development and upcoming demo version.
The work is in progress, so keep an eye on us.
Iris Covenant –Song of the Forgotten Heroes–
Iris Covenant is an unusually pretty JRPG for its quality - by which I mean, the character and monster art is all quite good, but the story is intentionally vague and also poorly translated from Japanese to English, and the mechanics are very simplistic and lacking, between character classes which are only defined by their names and skills generally not doing much except having 100% hit rate or hitting all enemies, but generally for less than your basic attack.
Its unique gimmick, being able to recruit almost any enemy in the game to join your party, is likewise set back by most enemies being mechanically terrible and thus not worth using even if you recruit them. Likewise, while it has NG+ and multiple endings, the two endings (at least, if there’s more, I don’t have any idea how I could reach them!) are very similar and also intentionally vague.

The game looks nice enough, I expected adult content but its surprisingly R15.
It reminds me a lot of “The Vagrant” and menus as well as stat mechanics are well implemented.
However, theres as of now no controller support and the game is basically point & click, which takes a lot of the fun imo. If you dont mind that, then its a solid game though.

SUCCUBUS
Awesome fun. I’m really enjoying this game.
I play it using default Proton and performance is great on highest details. Only slow down was breaking a lot of bone barriers in short time, physics is making CPU work hard. I can’t compare that with Windows version, because I only have Linux. I suggest to use FakeHDR filter in vkBasalt to make it look a bit darker. Also sharpening maxed gives it better look.

If you liked Agony only for the setting, design and shock but disliked the gameplay, then this game is for you.
Madmind really listened to the players and made it actually fun to play while upping the shock factor.
I was sold the moment I beat a pregnant ladies belly and forced the fetus out only to turn around and slap her to death with her own babies fetus.
Madmind, thank you for not listening to critics and censoring your games. I honestly can’t wait to see your next game and hope that you push the boundaries even more.

Age of Barbarian Extended Cut
Age of Barbarian - Extended Cut is a shameless love-letter to the ’80s swords-and-sorcery genre of B-movies and fantasy gaming, revelling in the stylings of Frazetta and Vallejo (with a little Erol Otus for seasoning). The player’s chosen protagonist — either Rahaan the chieftain’s son or Sheyna the former princess — carves their way through an array of fearsome and disgusting enemies, leaving lakes of blood and a trail of severed limbs and heads in their wake as they pursue the sorcerer Nekron and seek vengeance for the wrongs done to them.

Purchased and played first time with Patch 1.6.5
So - I never wrote a Steam-review so far, and also never bought a game from the Indie-section - so double-premier for me ^^
But this game - it really surprised me. Yep, it is not a Triple-A-Game, it was only made by one (!) developer. But, in contrast to a lot of the Greenlight-games flooding Steam this game is one of the rare examples where you can really see: The dev has some passion for this. And has put actual WORK into it! And he knows about the subject of “80”-sword and sorcery.

It is a beginning game, but I think it will be quite fun in the end. For me, the points that need to be worked on the most are the voice acting and the signposting. In most cases, I don’t know where to go because the maps are so big and blurry. Occasionally there is a green arrow, which is very handy. For now, I rate this game a 5/10.

Heart of the Woods
Heya! Zombie Cecelia here!
This is gonna be my first proper-ish game review on Steam so expect a not so much a review than me waffling review
So I bought this game on release (15.02.2019) and played a bit of it before work and stuff happened so was too busy then kinda forgot about it for over a year and only just got back into it about a week ago… Oops!
I guess because I can’t physically go outside due to sickness and the lock-down, meaning my favourite bookstore is closed, gave me the incentive to pick up Visual Novels (VNs) again (I usually prefer reading from a physical book rather than online buut let’s not delve into the reasons for it lol plus VNs have their own magical quality so it wouldn’t be fair to compare the two… but I digress because this is meant to be a review)

Heart of the Woods looks like a nice interesting love story about 2 girls, one human, one ghost. It’s homo, so it’s just what I needed to escape from the real world. Although it appears to involve love across the living and the dead, which is a concept that’s been done to literal death. But hey, the game is well-received, it’s on sale, the artstyle is new to me, and most importantly, it doesn’t appear to be too long. So I guessed it’s going to be a nice fit for the spare time I currently have.
