NOTE Sometimes depending on the amount of players you’ll be put into a game with wrong teams(everyone is blue for example). In this case PRESS THE SEMICOLON (;) key to change teams. Everything works normally after that.

This is an amazing game!! It’s a fantasy hack and slash pvp. It really is reminiscent of Tolkien. You can choose from three avatars, a huntress, a swordsman, or a smith, and all three have different capabilities. It’s first team to seven points, or the game ends after 15 minutes. Check it out, for 10 dollars it’s worth well above it’s price. For anyone who likes fantasy or knows someone who likes fantasy, buy this game!!!

This game is amazing! It’s really fun, with only a few changes I would like to see. First of all, the matchmaking is a little bit inconsistent. Sometimes when I loaded in it was only me in on open world, while other times I was with players. Also, when you load in all players will be on the blue team (this is a bug and will be fixed). So, a temporary fix is to press the “;” key, which changes the team. Other than those few issues, the game look beautiful and is extremely engrossing!

***Before beginning, I would like to give a special thanks to my brother, Cold Dingo [33rd], for proofing this lengthy review so early in the morning when I am certain he would have preferred sleep. Your selflessness was not overlooked.

Creatio Ex Nihilo: Aition-literally translated from Latin as, “creation from nothing: cause”-is a turn-based strategy roleplaying title depicting the inception of the universe from a being known as Uros. As an avid fanatic of Dungeons & Dragons, this title struck my interest considering much of the former lore from the tabletop game stemmed from Greek mythology as does CEN:A. Even though the concept of this project is intriguing, the execution does appear to lack polish.

Rogue Lords

Rogue Lords

I really enjoyed Rogue Lords, and I decided to write this review as I have a slightly different take from the others I read.

It took me ~40 hours to finish all chapters, and I always played with the same team (the starters: Dracula “the Support”, the Headless Horseman “the Tank”, Bloody Mary “the DPS”). I think I had a total of two game overs, one at the second or third chapter, and one at the second-to-last (but see below).

I read several reviews mentioning that the game is hard and RNG can hit hard. I think they are not wrong, but I did not find it THAT hard: I think it’s more a matter of COMPLEXITY. Damage already starts in the double digits, and it is not unusual towards the end of the game to hit for 30-50 (multiple times). With 3 characters on your side and 1-3 characters on the other side, you can also have several status effects in play at the same time (probably the maximum I’ve seen is ~20). You accumulate this with relic effects and maybe even battle effects, and suddenly it becomes really easy to make a fatal mistake. I remember in one boss battle I accidentally made the Headless Horseman use an attack that steals HP and SP, while he was under the effect of a Zombie debuff (healing received becomes damage), so instead of healing him I made him Vulnerable with 0 HP and 0 SP. Fun times.

Note that while I am giving this a thumbs up, there are definite issues that sour the experience (that I will go into more detail over below). Honestly, this rating should be 3/5, 6/10, or a neutral but we don’t have those options.

Long story short:

Rogue Lords is a fun roguelike very much like Slay the Spire, but not being a rip off in the slightest. It has a unique cheating mechanic and is pretty difficult while also having balance issues and run destroying bug. The concept is unique, fresh, and fun, but the gameplay could use some retuning and class balancing.

Really interesting game with captivating story.

Even though combat is a little simple, fighting giant Vikings did not get old. Puzzles were decent.

Where the game really shines is the story and superb acting of the main character.

Even the sidelore spread out through the game was a joy listening to.

Game feels rather short (10-ish hours) but that’s just me wanting more.

Worth it, even at full price (20Eur). Now it is 75% off and that is a really good deal.

UROS: A Trip Through Shadows

UROS: A Trip Through Shadows

What can I say about this game? By and large, a very good action-platformer. Fast, not very heavy, with nice graphics. Yes, it feels like many things were “taken”, or simply copied from the Hollow Knight. But in general, it is interesting to play. It would be. If not for a small unpleasant circumstance. I have run the game twice. And twice it flew out of me with the deletion of my save! This is just wonderful! This is just fine! I don’t have the words. Developer, how can you make games LIKE THIS and upload them to the public?! Was it really impossible to conduct tests at least for critical bugs?! If they correct it over time, I will even go through to the end. But now this game is simply impossible to play! Dislike.

Real player with 2.1 hrs in game

This game still need a lot more work to do, especially the way the sword slash effect is short but still hit enemy a bit far from it is kinda weird, theres a bug where after you defeat the 1st boss, when you fall down it wont load the next room and you just fall into void. Also the most annoying thing is that your game crashes and then your save file is gone.

If you can bear the current state of this game, i would recommend you to give it a try.

Otherwise, just wait for the full game to comes… maybe…

Fallen Gods

Fallen Gods

Once, the world was better, the gods greater, the wars over, the end farther. You were born in the Cloudlands during those bright days, one of the Ormfolk, forever young and strong, worshipped by those below for your forefathers’ deeds. But all has gone wrong. Wolves and worse haunt the night, the law holds no sway, and men’s hearts grow hard toward their gods. Fearful of their dwindling shares of souls, your kin turned against each other … and against you. And so you were cast down from the heavens, a fallen god broken upon the bitter earth. Now, you rise, free from death and ready to carve a bloody road back to your rightful home.

Features

Fallen Gods is a narrative “rogue-lite” RPG. You control the titular fallen god, who starts each game with different might, wits, health, and divine powers, and one of several animal familiars and magical artifacts. He has 90 days to win his way back to the Cloudlands, or he will lose his godhood forever. During that time, he must gather and manage a warband of up to five followers, find additional artifacts, and gain soul-strength by performing godly deeds (some kindly, some cruel). The world is full of barrows, caverns, swamps, towns, shrines, villages, castles, and other locations of interest. What you find in these places—what foes you will face in battle, what friends you can make, what dilemmas you must resolve, and what rewards you might win—changes every game. As your understanding of the world and its inhabitants grows, you will discover new strategies and develop new paths to victory, but the way will never be easy.

  • Decisions fit for a (fallen) god. Fallen Gods is about hard choices with fateful consequences. Where should you explore, what should you seek, and who should you trust? The answers are never easy, but the outcomes are always interesting.

  • Never the same story twice. Every game of Fallen Gods casts a different god into a different world, filled with different events, battles, dungeons, towns, and denizens. Even familiar encounters will change depending on your skills, followers, items, resources, and choices.

  • A rich setting inspired by sagas, myths, history, and folklore. The world of Fallen Gods is drawn from the old sources of classic fantasy with modern glosses stripped away, restoring the wonder, terror, and otherworldliness that have been lost. The themes and even language of the game are those of the great sagas.

  • A game of game-changers. The divine skills, animal familiars, human followers, and magical artifacts that you get in Fallen Gods meaningfully expand your options, rather than merely modifying some statistic.

  • Ups and downs. The protagonist of Fallen Gods starts out powerful, and while he can grow mightier, he also faces the danger of losing the strength and assets he’s gained. Weathering setbacks and taking calculated risks is the key to victory. For a fallen god, even death can be endured.
