Anima : The Reign of Darkness
The Opposite of PoE!
Playing Path of Exile since 8/2011, it slowly derailed for me from hack and slash to build (or better copy) , buy , and now study bossfight phases and anounced abilities.
If you want to go back to the roots and frag some stuff 2 sec. after you logged in and dont want to plan heists or syndicates or 10 other timewasters - this may be your game for the next hours.
pro:
-
copied the right stuff from 20 other games for a unique feel
-
nice Itemsystem ( merge the stats of 2 items and upgrade items 40x 5% in Power)

This game is an ode to the original ARPG’s like the original Diablo. It’s a ton of fun and I’ve blown almost 10 hours into it already and seems like I’ve been playing for a couple hours tops. The drops are fun and even has lower level legendary and set items to loot and at just a bit over $10.00 is well worth the price. So far at early leveling I have one large tower like dungeon with
many different levels to explore and quests given in town with merchants and NPC. It’s a fun
game and I see a lot of mixed reviews. I think considering the price and the fun it’s well worth $10+

EVERSLAUGHT
Everslaught, what can I say, it’s a dream come true, so to speak, as far as fast games in VR are concerned. I don’t know of any other game that brings this speed of the popular fps genre to VR. You fight with sword, grappling hook and shotgun in constant combination and it works so smoothly that you feel like you’ve never done anything else.
The beginning of the game is very leisurely and familiarizes you with the controls. But one thing is immediately noticeable, you move fast, with dash even faster. Early on you get your first sword and try it out on the first enemies. These are some kind of zombies. There regular types which grab at you and larger ones wield axes. When you kill one you’ll get blood capsules, which become important later in the game. The combat system is not fully physics-based like perhaps in Hellsplit or Blade & Sorcery, but rather designed for fast, action-packed fps play.

This caught my eye immediately, as a fan of Gunheart which ended up getting smooth locomotion+dash teleport+jumping… I have been craving an action title with competent traversal techniques, and I think this game delivers on that.
Here is a random list of details, some which are base mechanics which some might see as spoilers? You don’t start out with everything but I think that is just to give you a gradual introduction as to not overwhelm the player.

- Smooth locomotion is mandatory, and it’s fast, which I enjoy but is likely not for everyone.

Stress Random
what this game lacks in polish, varied content, and technical skill, it makes up for with pure, unhinged creativity. it’s worth the price solely for the brief story and the ms paint art. i genuinely enjoyed what i have played so far, and i will enjoy it when i play more. i am so excited for what comes next from this developer.

Project Warlock II
Palmer - a dedicated disciple of Warlock wakes up in his castle’s bedroom. His master nowhere to be found, castle overrun by demons, and only his trusted arsenal as means to stop them and make sense of it all - the young warlock must now collect himself, his guns, recharge the staff and make his way to a nearby stronghold spewing hordes of the hideous monsters.
Project Warlock II picks up right after the events of the first game, shifting the perspective to that of three disciples of the first game’s Warlock. Each perfecting their own discipline, with his or hers reasons to confront the old master. Utilising everything their mentor taught them, and harnessing the powers of combat magic, pyromancy and dark arts - Palmer, Urd and Kirsten must now put their hard earned skills to the test.
Get ready for three explosive episodes - each revolving around a different Warlock with their own skills, perks and arsenal, and featuring a distinct setting, menagerie of deadly monsters, requisite boss hulking in the darkness and more secrets, weapon upgrades, pickups and jumping, strafing, and spraying trigger happy action that you can shake a lightning staff at.
-
Each of the Warlocks carries a different arsenal based around their personas and playstyles
-
Tools of destruction can be upgraded through special stations resulting in 20+ weapons for each Warlock
-
Shotguns, machine guns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, quad barrelled harvesters, swords, staffs, cannons - and that’s just Palmer’s toys
-
In Project Warlock magic is only supplementing weapons, or - as some put it - totally useless
-
In Project Warlock II each of the Warlocks has his or hers three cooldown-able skills to use and support gun- or magic-play
-
Project Warlock’s monsters defining trait was their relentlessness. That same applies to describe their strategy, Tactics. And - probably - problem solving approach. As the saying goes - when you’re a hammer everything looks like a Warlock trying to pump you full of hot magical lead
-
Project Warlock II’s monsters jump, run, hold back when needed, hop, whirl and use each of the different attacks on their disposal to make your life as miserable as only a pigdemon with welded-shut cestuses and spiked back can
-
Each world consists of six huge, sprawling levels - size of each roughly 5-10 times bigger than any individual level of Project Warlock
-
Expect to spend up to one hour on each of the PWII’s levels, or more to find all the secrets, easter eggs, perks and achievements
-
Experience multi-floored structures, platforms and buildings that literally elevate the gameplay from that of the original Project Warlock
-
Let’s keep this one short. Project Warlock has no saving whatsoever.
-
Project Warlock II has all the saving. Quicksave (F6), Manual Save (choose your slot) and Autosave. There is literally no other save that we could push in there.

Good story

A game to congratulate. The main character pulls you into the game either by the playability or with the story. The scenarios are diverse and wake up your attention - the music also. You can “play” with the time of the game and stay by the small games and quests inside of it. It’s fun. I love it.
I miss the times when games were made to leave something to the player. I miss games like this.

Penny RPG: Shadows of the Lost - A Blood City Tale
This is a full on RPG! The lo-fi minimalist visuals and “Penny RPG” in the name led me to expect a game that’s light on gameplay, but it’s got all the regular RPG features: a simple but fun combat system; buying and selling; LOTS of dialogue and missions; and peripheral lore to explore, the whole deal. Plus, it has a cool Shadowrun vibe, and the writing is spot on for the cyberpunk genre. I had some minor issues with gamepad control (chalking it up to early access) so I used keyboard controls, which worked great. I’m looking forward to learning how this mystery unfolds!

This game just hit early access, but so far it’s looking pretty good. This is a pretty standard RPG but with a cool cyberpunk theme. Just keep in mind, though, that it is still early access, so the game is incomplete and there are a few bugs that you’re bound to run into. Having said that, it’ll provide you with a interesting story and fun battle mechanics that are a bit of a throwback to years past.
