Stories of Liane

Interesting game and looking forward to the next chapters. One thing that surprised me is that though the date is 300 years in our future, when I stepped into the office I saw stacks of reams of paper, a photocopier that would fit in any of our offices today, desk telephones and fans, etc. I honestly would expect the office equipment to be maybe vaguely recognisable and I would not expect to find a copier and reams of paper. Surely in 300 years there will truly be paperless offices. When I look into the future I expect to see the future. Hell, the original Star Trek did much better than this.

Please read (I don’t want this to come off sassy):

So I have a medium to beefy PC, with a higher end GPU. I also do 3d Modelling, animation, game development, and play a lot of games with the highest graphics settings (currently breezing through The Medium and Tomb Raider SOTTR on the highest settings).

After having installed this game without even beginning to play it, I for the first time, saw artifacting from my GPU with it blowing over the 8GB, meaning that the way this game was made is demanding more than what’s necessary.

This game absolutely slaps. The engineering was funded with the equivalent of a McChicken. But that’s a good thing. Because McChickens are fantastic and this game definitely has potential. Recommend strongly. Amazing with friends.

Lords of the Darkreign

Lords of the Darkreign

Fight the Sunless Tide!

The light of the sun has not graced the Karavi lands in two centuries. Blighted by the Darkreign storm, three factions now vie for control of the Karavi throne, willing to slaughter all who oppose them. Meanwhile, the vile branded gnaw at the edges of their territory, ready to usher in an age of darkness that will last forever! Hundreds of lords prepare their hosts for battle, as the winds above roar across the lands!

Take Command!

As a lord of one of the warring realms, you can recruit soldiers to your cause, who will spill their blood to advance your ambitions! For each victory you attain, your prestige grows, allowing you to demand more funds from your throne. But beware, for defeat will dull your position of power, and too many failures will see you dead amongst your soldiers!

Show no mercy!

Your enemies also field lords to advance their plans, both to defend their claims and to expand their territory. Just as lords weaken with each defeat, their realm also fades as their armies shrink in power. Push every advantage, and leave your enemies reeling, unable to defend. Press onwards to their capital city, and claim it as your own to cut off all reinforcements to their remaining forces!

Seen

Seen

Have you Seen those point shops items?

Seen is a simple and short platformer with some light puzzles.

I bought this after I got those beautiful backgrounds and avatar frames from the points shop during one of Steam’s major sales and thought why not, the game is dirty cheap, especially on sale.

The gameplay consists of mainly two parts.

Running and jumping to get past through obstacles and collecting orbs. Once you start running you can’t stop, you control the main character with up/down buttons and a jump button. Usually you have three lanes and must switch between them to avoid obstacles. Often you need to do that very quickly and in the air. It’s not the hardest game in the world but for someone not used to platformers or just slower people like me it’s very challenging.

LONG REVIEW by jSM 2019

tl:dr Fun little platform puzzler, with a great feel and vibe to it. Fairly simplistic but has a nice art style and offers fun for achievement hunters. Would definitely recommend playing it!

First of all; I did not expect to like this game. To be completely honest, i thought this game would be quit bad and i only bought it for its artwork to put it in my showcase at first. But what i got completely suprised me. I fell in love with its art style, its concept and in the end even with its mechanics, finishing even the hardest currently available challenge.

Amazing game! Still early in development, but very promising! Extremely well done for a two man team! Definitely made me jump out of my skin. Looking forward to see how the developer continues polishing and refining the game over time. I’m super exited for a story mode!

This game is terrifying! One of the scariest games I have every played in VR! At about 30 min into the game, I have beaten the first classic mode on the Normal difficulty, and almost on Hard, but I’m not sure if I am brave enough to ever take on the Nightmare mode xD

Edit - I have beaten it on hard now and had a friend play it, who thought that playing it may have been the scariest experience of their life XD

No More Home

No More Home

Take part in the fight to defend your home!

Fragments of meteors have fallen and the Recyclers are there to exploit their composition. The problem is that they have no regard for the locals …

A completely open map

Fight all over town, prepare your approaches, or just go straight ahead. You are free to operate the city according to your needs.

The map is divided into several districts all connected to each other in one way or another. They will be released over time in future updates.

Strategy, or not

No More Home gives you the possibility to fulfill your mission in the way you like:

Remain discreet and achieve the goal without being spotted.

Hit and run, attack and fall back until a good opportunity to end it presents itself.

Or just think that the strategy is for the weak, and go for it with the biggest weaponry possible!

Choose your equipment carefully

Between each mission, plan what weapons and accessories you will take with you.

Your inventory is limited, and will influence the way you play. The more things you take with you, the more your movement will be affected.

But maybe you will choose to wear heavy protection? Or just play it very light and be able to run around.

Evolve your character

At the end of each mission, you will gain experience which you can spend on buying new weapons, new outfits, and new skills that will help you to go on increasingly difficult operations.

Terrordrome - Reign of the Legends

Terrordrome - Reign of the Legends

Absolute waste of money, would not recommend, I think I might’ve actually found the most bottom of the barrel game on here. I remember playing the demo version of this game way back in 2018 during their Kickstarter. The demo was slow and clunky and heavily filled with glitches, but since it was a demo I thought they might improve as development went on, it’s 2021 now and this game still doesn’t feel like it’s worth wasting $15, not even if it was on sale for $5. I mean what could you expect from a game that only has like 2 people working on it, 1 person working on the animations and the other working on the coding. Playing the game feels like if it’s devoid of any testers, I’m guessing that’s where the player comes in. You can tell this is one of the those half-baked, mobile games where they expect the player/buyer to report things wrong with their game so the devs could fix it while at the same time make vlogs and livestreams about their joke of a project. I’d recommend anything else, anything!

If you’re a fan of the first Terrordrome: Rise of the Boogeymen, and more importantly familiar with how to play the previous entry, you’ll find that it’s sequel Terrordrome: Reign of the Legends is worth your while. Even if you’re new to the series, this is a simple fighting game with a multitude of complex mechanics that are fun to explore.

As of writing this review, the is in an Early Access version, so understand that the game is incomplete. The developers, who consist of a small indie team, are actively working on the game and speak directly to their fans and community. So feedback is frequently received and considered.

Blight

Blight

Blight is an extremely challenging and realistic single-player top-down perspective survival game.

The Blight

A mysterious new disease called the Blight has descended upon the land. You have managed to escape its devastating effects as it has consumed your village and left it to ruins - You now find yourself alone in the wilderness, tired and hungry. You’ve bought yourself some time, but for how long? The Blight grows larger every day, consuming everything in sight…

Realism

The game strives on providing a punishingly realistic and immersive experience with a ton of depth. Actions like chopping trees and cooking food take a lot of precious time. You can only carry a few things at a time. You need to boil water to make sure it’s safe to drink. Water and other liquids need to be carried in bowls and other containers, and will spill out if not transported securely. You will need to scavenge numerous raw materials, many of which will need to be processed, combined, treated or hardened to make tools, items and structures.

Challenge

The Blight is just one of many threats to your existence in the unforgiving wilderness. After quickly setting up camp you will constantly need to keep yourself well fed and hydrated, replenish lost energy with sleep and short rests, defend yourself from the wild beasts that still inhabit the woods, heal your wounds, protect yourself from the harsh elements, and figure out a way to somehow end this terrible disease. Almost everything in the procedurally generated world can and will kill you if you aren’t careful.

There are whispers of Druids in a far off land that may know more about the Blight…

Upcoming Features

The demo is currently live! You can download it to try out most of what the game has to offer and the level of realism/depth it’s going for. The next big update for the game in the current alpha testing phase is called The Story Update. It’s coming in the next few months and it will contain all these new things:

  • Beginnings of the story around the Blight, where it came from, how to cure it, resources to collect, etc

  • Village and road generation, with a compass to aid with navigation in Realistic mode

  • More unique locations in the world where various resources are more abundant

  • Ranged weapons such as throwing spears

  • Armor and other protective items like shields

  • Many more unique resources to find

  • Panning for random resources in water

  • More buildings and items to create

  • Sharpening tools to regain some effectiveness

  • Other survivors and creatures, hostile and otherwise

  • Carts to move things around

  • Localization and translations, starting with Russian

Long-term Future

The long term future of the game includes some of these big features:

  • Co-op multiplayer

  • Fishing

  • Farming

  • Building system (floors, walls, roof, etc)

  • Character customization including gender

  • Taming animals

  • Injury and wound system

  • More localized languages

I like of diabloid games, I have played D2, D3 for a lot of hours and more than 12k hours in Path of Exile, what can I say. The game is very interesting, It is interesting to kill mobs, and this is the most important thing in such games. Good optimization, nice graphics (no ripped-out pixels). Although early access is still damp, but very suitable, I will follow the development of the project

Go through gloomy dungeons full of loot, monsters and traps. Locations are easy to walk through, although sometimes more intricate corridors come across. There is a lot of loot from monsters, so there will be no problems with what to wear).

positive sign:

  • Nice graphics in places.

  • Good music and soundtrack.

  • Quite a lot of types of equipment.

  • Nice, rather confusing locations. It’s interesting to explore.

  • Evil monsters with rapidly growing power. Fortunately, the quality of the equipment also grows adequately.
