SHUT IN
Really captures the feeling of depression without being too… for lack of a better word, depressing? The game is still funny and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Somehow it’s very entertaining to be told how you’re an idiot and you’ve died horribly.
But then there’s also a really creepy atmosphere, very nice sound design, a solid sense of dread, and some very satisfying puzzles.
Really enjoyable, and I feel very smug for finding the secret ending!
Still not got that rocket launcher though…

I had so much fun with this game. Which is a weird thing to say considering it spent a lot of time all-too-accurately evoking the scathing self-deprecation and casual self-sabotage that comes with depression. Did it make me think about the times real-life-me had not wanted to get out of bed, and said mean things to the reflection in the mirror? Yes. Did it let me wave a spatula off a staircase and caress a questionable pile of black goo? Also yes.
Sometimes — especially in 2020 — there’s not much to do about the pitfalls of depression except to laugh and keep going. This game knows that, and in a rather tongue-in-cheek way, nudges us to remember. It’s a fun, satisfying little puzzle that rewards trial and error, persistence, and (if you’re going for the secret ending) the occasional madcap experiment. But most importantly, it tells us: Don’t worry. Try again tomorrow.

Slimefrog
Challenging and fun game to pass the time. Takes a while to get used to the controls however once you get the hang of it the game becomes very enjoyable.

I said I could beat this game in a weekend. One weekend later and I want to rip my balls off playing this game. 10/10.

Father´s Island
This could have been a very nice game, except that in its current version it is plagued by far too many bugs, making it impossible to enjoy it. It still feels like a beta, not quite ready for prime-time yet.
Here are some of the problems I came across:
- Loading the game takes a long time, even on my PC (Skylake, GTX980Ti, SSDs, etc.) This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if it only happened when you start up the game. But if you want to reload a save, or if you accidentally die and you have to reload a save, it reloads the whole damn thing all over again, and you just have to wait, and wait… every time.

Things you can do with $5. You can enjoy a Big Mac and still have enough money left for a small soda. You can rent a couple of movies from Redbox. You can go to the dollar store and buy 5 items. You can go to Goodwill and buy some underwear and socks, or you can light $5 on fire. All of which will be more fun than playing Father’s Island.
Without a doubt, Father’s Island is one of the worse games of all time. I’d rather play Atari 2600’s E.T. I’ve played some bad games in my time but this one takes the cake.

The Lovebirds
I didnt really enjoy it, its very confusing, the game seems to open other applications in the background, sometimes the game just exits etc. I see others had fun with this, i don’t get it. Worst VN i have played so far..Sorry but i tried

The Prologue to a Dream of Home
One hundred years before the events of A Dream of Home, Dr. Seth Schumann’s reality simulation is nearly complete. With the birth of the Narcissus Project, Eridean scientists have discovered a means to project the soul as art. Who will finish Schumann’s unfinished masterpiece?
Rest House
A very peculiar obsession of Don Quixote paints this game’s cerebral narrative. The levels and artwork are muddled, jarring, and provide a fenestrated glimpse into the developer’s unusual psyche. A commitment worth its value if you’re into strange games.
Warning: The game offers links to external websites usually found at the end of each level to Youtube videos, Leaderboards, and other websites. Some of these links were blocked by my antivirus for malicious code. Some of those loaded in-game windows to these external websites that my antivirus blocked as well.

Nothing makes sense in this game, it is literally 3D models just thrown all over the place. The author calls it an abstract adventure, but you can tell it was like the programmer just took a 3D model tool and w/e assets he could find and stick them in. That said the “game” itself is full of faults. You can get stuck while walking up a staircase, you can get stuck on an edge, you can get stuck inside a room you can’t reopen cause a ball rolled off the switch.
The puzzles are annoying, pushing a huge butterfly statue that flips around in all different directions is a tiring process. It gets stuck on everything. Pushing a rolling ball that seems to defy gravity and friction is a process much like listening to nails on a chalkboard.

Cataplexy
Cataplexy is a short visual novel that combines incompatible genres of comedy and horror. It all depends on the chosen interpretation of events and the mood of the reader. To believe in the mystical nature of what is happening or to make out logical explanations. To be horrified by the state of hopelessness or to laugh at the comicality of the situation. This is for you to decide. Although the hero of our story in any case will have a hard time.
Features:
-
Possibility to choose the mood of the story: ironic or serious.
-
Visits by various otherworldly entities.
-
Backgrounds that combine hallucinations with reality.
-
A non-standard view of a truly existing phenomenon called Cataplexy.
-
A lot of story fragments were based on personal experience.
GAG
I love this game, probably the best store of all time. No other game and match up to this game. I love gag. short and will bring you on a journey as you play as a sexually abused co host for a sit com. Paul is the best character in the game.

I would recommend playing this game blind… because not knowing what will happen is one of the most terrifying things I’ve experienced in a game.
This game was genuinely interesting and unsettling… I’m not sure how well the topic mattered. It could’ve been about choosing the flavor of ice-cream and it would just be as gross and horrific. If you just let yourself become immersed in these short experiences, there’s a real sense of danger and unease between all of these ‘games’. I would say if Gag was a ‘short story’, I would make the other ‘games’ out to be poems. They’re excellent experiences, definitely worth it for me.
