Howdy, Jacob!
This was a visual trip, it’s kinda like Where’s Waldo but with psychedelics. It has a very interesting approach to storytelling which I like and the music is fun and upbeat. It gave me some nostalgic vibes. I was reminded of the video overlays in one of the Police Quest games for the storytelling and the levels have a sort of wondrous mystique to them that you don’t experience much in games these days. There’s a totally dark vibe to the story without being too scary.
If I had to list one criticism it would be that I struggled to find the exit button during a level, but it all worked out of course. Overall it was worth the $10 for sure.

Disclosure: I was on the video capture and performance team for the game, but did not have anything to do with gameplay, art, or design.
Howdy, Jacob! shines brightest in its rich world and great writing. The characters are interesting and diverse, and curious players are always rewarded with a little bit of content wherever they look. It is a world that feels much, much bigger than the game, and fascinating!
The other high point is the art! The images are very vivid and unique, and the style sticks with you!

How To Make Scrambled Eggs
Add some butter to pan on medium-low heat. While it melts, combine eggs with some milk, add salt and pepper. Add into the pan once hot. Stir occasionally until the eggs have firmed up to your taste. For cheesier eggs, add cheese. For bacon flavor, add bacon. Do not add pets or spouses.
Fine Print
No developers were harmed during the writing of this description. We treated them well, fed them Dr Pepper and chocolate. We promise. Don’t listen to the badgers. They weren’t even there. They have no witnesses. Dale said it was alright!
Re: Award
Basically there is only one objective in this game you must complete using the basic power provided. The hallway corridor is small and short so if you reach the end it just resets you back to the beginning. This is where you will realize that the power is required to progress. By right-clicking you activate her magic powers and the goal is to find all the missing furniture and making it spawn back in its original place. After you place all 23 pieces of furniture down you exit through the corridor and the game is complete. The achievement will be unlocked and that is the end of the game. Probably spent less than five minutes to finish the game. Overall rating 5/10 based on length and difficulty. Cannot complain since it is a free game.

Who’s in the Box?
Costing a whopping 3,29€, this small game has lots of tags - black humour, casual, puzzle, 2D.. yet, it has only negative reviews.
They are actually right - the game is a fully guided hidden object one, that can easily be finished within twenty minutes. Five minutes if you follow a Steam guide.
You will play in literally A SINGLE screen, i.e.: a single MS Paint wallpaper throughout the whole game - there’s a big wooden box and lots of items around it. Nothing else, the game hasn’t even got a menu.
– Real player with 156.7 hrs in game
Despite the store tags, Who’s in the Box is not really a hidden object game, but more of a single hidden object scene. The whole gameplay happens inside one location - a room with a box in the middle, surrounded by shelves full of various objects. There is a character hidden inside the box, and he will successively ask you to find certain items, without specifically naming them. Instead, he will attempt to describe them via a funny text, outlining their purposes which ultimately are supposed to lead towards his escape from the box.

anime aesthetic and pixel rpg is the best combo ive ever seen. the game’s world is unique and quite distinctive. music is on another level. i enjoyed playing this game and it was unforgettable experience. alas, i got some bugs during the gameplay and that’s why i give 9/10. regardless, i recommend Lamia’s Play and i would replay it someday.

Universe 25
I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel like this game is getting no attention. Its been okay to play so far. I have only had to two glitches where I had to click multiple times on an object for it to work. Other than that I would give the game a try. The price isn’t bad either.

This is simply a nice and cheap game. It’s quite enjoyable and it has some kinda difficult puzzles that don’t always make sense. The game is small, but with a decent story. It has a few bugs here and there, but nothing too important. It doesn’t get much attention, so buy it and see for yourself how much fun it is. Till next time, don’t forget to point & click!
