Cataplexy
Cataplexy is a short visual novel that combines incompatible genres of comedy and horror. It all depends on the chosen interpretation of events and the mood of the reader. To believe in the mystical nature of what is happening or to make out logical explanations. To be horrified by the state of hopelessness or to laugh at the comicality of the situation. This is for you to decide. Although the hero of our story in any case will have a hard time.
Features:
-
Possibility to choose the mood of the story: ironic or serious.
-
Visits by various otherworldly entities.
-
Backgrounds that combine hallucinations with reality.
-
A non-standard view of a truly existing phenomenon called Cataplexy.
-
A lot of story fragments were based on personal experience.

Startup Valley Adventure
A very cool game! Allows you to plunge into the atmosphere of business and companies. Well-thought-out dialogues like the open world. Recommend!
P.S. Hopefully the design will improve the graphics a bit.

A very unique project. A kind of visual novel, but with a gameplay with humor, references, parody, with excellent dialogues, variability and vitality. “Your decisions are your consequences!” this is really about this game, I liked that you can learn from a homeless person in the game, humor is certainly not for everyone, but I went. The gameplay is certainly dry, and sometimes there are softlocks, but in General, the game is worth it so that you can close your eyes to it.

Man of Honor
A cross between Hotline Miami and Mafia. A very quirky game that I had a great time playing. The story and gameplay are both top notch and it’s well worth your time.

The game makes a very good impression. “Man of honor” is highly recommendable for those who have spent many hours playing gta1,2 and “mafia”. The plot is simple enough - it’s a classic gangster thriller where the main character takes revenge on the one who betrayed him. It genuinely has good gameplay. This game is really hard compared to other games in such style of top-down shooters. It’s kind of game made purely for fun. Love the style. Totally loving this game, and find it hard to stop playing. “Man of honor” is made wisely, with humor and love.

A Ton Of Feathers
Experienced on the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality

This is a 26 minute, mostly cinematic experience with some very basic interactions, running on the Unreal Engine. It is unpleasant visually and audibly, at times. It is artistic, experimental, and just plain weird. I think it may be autobiographical from the dev and it certainly feels at times as though he is talking to himself mostly and then sometimes at you.

This was pretty wild to me when I played it back in the day on Viveport. I think it had a different name. It has a unique art style with very high contrast and funky pixelation and color grading. I don’t know what those words mean. I don’t really understand the theme, something about game development. Wolfenstein 3d is name dropped once, and is likely the most memorable part of the experience. I liked the last scene on the beach where the gummy bears down by the water look at you. You might also notice a certain review blurb down on the steam store page. That’s me! What happened was I uploaded the viveport video, and the developer was like ‘hey can you please remove it’, and I demurred. Now I understand that I was in the wrong, and should have complied with their polite request. Other VR developers (3-4 at least) have clipped my youtube videos and I’ve gotten strikes just because I had the temerity to say that their game sucks, or sometimes that the game is good!
! To that end, fuck Yur.fit, fuck Claude Monet, The Water Lily Obsession, fuck Djinni and Thaco 35 dollar endless tutorial experience, Fuck Trauma Simulator, etc. It’s like Quantum phsics where certain VR experiences dissappear when byteframe looks at them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVdBevEpJ-c

Golf Club Wasteland
A neat little mini-golf game set in the post apocalypse. The vibes are pretty depressing, since you ARE golfing in the wasteland, but it’s easily offset by RADIO NOSTALGIA FROM MARS!!!! (There used to be a mini review here but I’m done with this game for now)
After trying out iron mode for 5-6 hours, I can confidently say that this mode is a gimmick and that the developers did not play-test this mode at all. Want proof? Check out the achievement statistics, you’ll see that the Iron mode achievement has a VERY low % of the players completing it. Clearly, this a cardinal sin of laziness, with the developers thinking that it’s okay to slap a mode like this into the game and market it but not attempt it themselves. This is a ridiculous challenge in of itself, the weakest point of the game, and you bet your ass that I’m going to give some brutally honest feedback for it.

I’m not recommending this game because the whole package is a bit of a mess, but it does has its merits.
Without talking too much about the story, it’s a bit of a mess in that when you go through and re-read it, things don’t match up or just aren’t very well told. There’s a story here, and then there’s another telling of another tiny story, and those two somewhat contradict each other a bit. The stories told on the radio are also fantastic on their own, but it paints a bit of an incongruent history that might be a bit too scathing for the things it has a bias against; to the point where it sorta ignores how the world works…but I mean, it’s a story; there’s nothing wrong with that besides making it a bit unbelieveable.

New Ice York
This game is so much more than I expected it to be. At first, playing it- I was charmed by how weird it was but after playing through it, I found myself feeling connected to this universe and the characters within it. It’s intuitive- familiar, but totally different. Refreshingly fun, and an overall great release by magicdweedo, an artist I’ve really enjoyed since Mealmate™. Make sure to check out the soundtrack, too- it’s really catchy!

New Ice York has deceptively good writing. The first chapter is unfortunately slow, which is a bad problem for a game of this length to have, but that slowness does its job of lulling you into a familiarity with the characters that it uses as a platform to build off of. NIY unfurls in a way similar to Frog Fractions or magicdweedoo’s last major game, Ticket: breaking its own rules and shuffling weird mechanics around. Where the former games engage themselves in a game of zany one-upsmanship, though, New Ice York’s treatment of mechanics is much more narrative and constrained. Detective has an oblique resemblance to Deadly Premonition’s Francis York Morgan / Twin Peak’s Dale Cooper, and similar to those stories New Ice York’s descent into surrealism takes on a personal significance in the quest of the protagonist.

The Lot
Take an atmospheric journey in a fresh, critically acclaimed format of a hand-drawn point-and-click comic-book. When a freeloading owner of a blue Mustang drives through without paying for the ticket, Harry Hunter, freelance parking attendant, ventures inside the lot to Make. Him. Pay. ™.
Just like our other interactive comics, upon finishing the game you can print out your entire adventure path in the form of an actual 30-50 page comic book. In response to (very positive! :) ) player feedback on previous games, this adventure includes multiple paths, endings and side-quests spanning thousands of lines of dialog tightly packed in a 2 hour narrative.
Gameplay
-
every interaction in the game world (such as talking, picking up items, using objects etc.) creates a new comic panel, furthering the story
-
hundreds of unique hand-drawn (and hand-scanned!) content rich panels for all the various combinations
-
improved replay value with multiple endings, sidequests, achievements and many different ways to solve the game mysteries
-
when the player ends the game, he is given the option to print out his gameplay in a comic book format
-
a new game+ option with a developer commentary track when you finish the game
Awkward
A really solid and well-made party game, it’s like a piece of art in my steam library.
-
Haven’t encountered a single bug/glitch
-
Fun, entertaining and trippy artwork
-
Clean user interface
-
Great sound design
-
The way the gentleman pops up and says “Awkward!”, is a really nice touch
-
Native controller support, which is something that can be overlooked in these sorts of games
-
The “super awkward” update essentially sorted out the only issue the game had, which was the wait for round 3

So what is Awkward?
It’s a simple yet addictive opinion guessing game. It’s fun with a friend or partner but should be most fun in a group where you try to do better than the others. I found the comparison with the “rest of the world” to be less interesting than I had hoped, so I can’t really recommend playing solo.
Final verdict: Wait for a sale!
Strongest point: A game in your steam library you can play with any person. Plus: Geat artstyle.

DEKONSTRUKT
DEKONSTRUKT is an interactive movie, with elements of first-person gameplay. You will be immersed in the inglorious story of a game developer with plenty of destructive black humor. The game responds to never-before-seen creative challenges. Help the protagonist deal with his inner demons. Or not really.
As you can see, the game tries with all its might to seem like it’s not just another triviality. In other words, my mother grew a vegetable, even though she is not a gardener.
✔ A story that will stay in your memory for a long time.
