Terrorarium
After just over a whole month of developing levels for the Murder Garden Contest, it’s time for my review of Terrorarium.
TLDR:
Terrorarium is a fun and creative game with an interesting concept and encourages community participation. The developers are always active in the Terrorarium Discord server and always take suggestions by listening to their fans (Which is rare these days). Plus, You can make awesome levels for your friends and others to play and murder them with ferocious plants! What’s not to like? Since its in early access, it’s likely to be cheaper now than when it releases, so pick it up and try it!

7/28/20 UPDATE: The game is out now with new levels and new features, so here is my current day review!
The game can be broken down in to three major parts: The main story, the community made levels, and the level maker.
★ The Main Story plot itself is fine. You get to understand the character you play as and the the little pikmin-esque creatures you play with, etc., etc… It certainly adds to the game, but what really matters (in my opinion) are the levels themselves. There are 26 levels ranging from very easy to very hard, some of which are designed extremely well! Some of them however aren’t. I’d say around 85% of the levels are satisfactory, while the other 15% just aren’t either aesthetically pleasing or the puzzle/mechanics are a bit wonky.

Hobo Cat Adventures
A fun and silly 3D platformer with a character and story aesthetic like a love letter to Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Full of silliness, over the top humor, potty mouths, flying body parts, and is a blast! Ride a chicken to get around. Zoom around on an over-caffeinated spree. Roll around with crazy physics as a Snowball. Blast a regiment of rat warriors to smithereens with bombs. Hack em to bits with a chainsaw and collect their heads as trophies. Twang your banjo. Help a very drunk duck deny the reality of his living conditions. Drink Hobo Brew until you’re pissing on plants to rejuvinate the local flora and fauna. Full of little nods and references to it’s inspirations. An overall a silly good time!

So, first of all, I have to say this game was my first Steam purchase and I don’t regret it.
The funny characters, the varied places as well as the many possibilities that the items offer always put a smile on my face.
Some of the collectibles are well hidden but not unfair. The quests that you get in the game are all very varied and do not repeat themselves.
As a German, I don’t understand the Eastereggs that are based on the Swiss streaming scene, but so it piqued my interest to take a look. It was really interesting to deal with it a little more, because I never noticed anything about it. Which of course is not surprising.

A little rough round the edges but I had fun playing it, was a good laugh and I liked the wacky storylines reminded me a bit of the Stanley Parable.

Sinfeld Remastered: Deceased and Assist Playtest
Tranquility Now!
Sinfeld Remastered is a single player action-horror-comedy-parody featuring various gameplay styles inspired by Resident Evil, Silent Hills and PT. Donathan makes his way through the maze of strangely familiar locations. You will solve puzzles, riddles, and dodge the crazies in this new nightmare of what we think New York looks like. This is an early prototype as we continue to build the main story missions.
Key Features:
A Personal Story: You play as Donathan, the oldest orphan in the city on the night he’s finally adopted. Things aren’t what they seem though, and you are thrust into the worst night of his life. Survive the streets and uncover the mysteries behind his past, and maybe you’ll live to see another dawn.
A Familiar Place?: For a limited time only experience a special demo inspired by the original “Sinfeld Chronicles” (2020)
Conjuntalia
This game looks pretty… and unfortunately that’s the only positive thing I can say about it. And I say “unfortunately” because it does feel like there’s a good idea in there somewhere, but it got lost between the low-quality writing and the myriad of bugs that make enjoying this game very difficult.
Apparently this game has been in Early Access for a long time, so I’m skeptical that it’ll ever be finished (or at least polished up a bit), but I hope I’m wrong and sometime in the future I can come back and change this to a positive review.

#15 of ~69 in my “How many games can I get for under $5” review series.
This game is beautiful for something made with Unity. The art is quite pleasing. The problem is the gameplay is lacking. The controls are lacking. And it does not translate to English well. This is one I wouldn’t even review yet if it wasn’t part of a review series, but it is and I must.
If you want to support a developer that hasn’t quite hit their stride yet that hasn’t been keeping up on this game, go for it. If you are super concerned about money, this is available on many websites that sell Steam Keys. Just be sure you have a trustworthy source and you can get it super cheap. Or look for trades involving Steam coupons for the game.

Journey To The Savage Planet
Journey to the Savage Planet, where do I start?
For me again one of those games where I not only want a thumbs up or down, but also the option of a neutral rating option. Since reviews are actually always a personal opinion and not always have something to do with the quality of the game, this option would be really desirable.
Why would I like to give the game a neutral rating? Well, that’s not that easy to explain somehow. In short: bright and colorful sci-fi adventure with a huge potential for frustration …

Just finished and not into a big review, but: Borderlands-goofy alien planetary exploration probably sums it up in tone and content.
Goofy AI talking to you.
Goofy/Cutesy fauna.
Comedy flora.
Light pewpew as you explore.
Heavier pewpew as you do the occasional boss-type battle.
Some puzzling.
Multiplayer capability. I hope you like meat.
Overall, a fun time for me and the friend I played with.

Trover Saves the Universe
Lots of laughs, average gameplay
This is Roiland at his most unhinged. It feels like the actors (mostly Roiland himself) improvised hours of dialog and then built a game around it. It’s silly and absurd, and some of it borders on babbling, but it’ll definitely make Rick and Morty fans laugh.
The amount of voice acting is mind boggling, even if it a lot of it does feel like loose improvisation. You can play through the whole game and never hear a repeating line. Not only that, but you’ll never even reach the end of the game’s conversations unless you’re really hell bent on doing so. This is a 5 hour game with 20 hours or recorded lines in it. The game lets you choose when to move on, so you’re not obliged to sit through more than you can stomach, which is a great way to handle things.

This is a fun game.
While I do recommend the game there are some things you should know. If you don’t like Justin Roiland (some people don’t- hey we all have our own sense of what’s funny, it’s fine) you may not like the game because I’d say 70% of what is interesting about this game is Justin Roiland playing around in the recording studio. What do I mean by that? Well, for one you should just sit around in the game a lot just to listen to the various comedians (Justin Roiland does a lot of the voices, but there are a few others here and there) go on and on about whatever they’re saying. A lot of the time they’re just making fun of you for not following instructions and they have an impressive amount recorded of them finding different ways to complain about that one topic. There are more jokes than that, and that is the least funny of them, but most of the dialogue goes on and on. If you do anything while their talking, though, the game skips the dialogue so you have to just sit there and let any character that is talking just talk without you moving. As someone who does like Justin Roiland’s brand of humor, and the various comedians like Roiland these days who play with comedy, I would say this is successful 80% of the time in the game. Which isn’t bad. You should probably also know I believe there is at least one achievement tied to this in one of the early worlds- of which I would say there is a decent amount including the tiny DLC area.

I love this game so fucking much, it is incredibly addictive and very difficult. I see a few reviews on here calling the game bad but I don’t think they understand the point, you see all the crazy seizure inducing shit on the screen is what makes the game interesting, funny and hard. Every single crazy thing on the screen is designed to do three things, be funny, be ironic and make the game harder. Instead of having mobs that you have to fight off you have 1000 dollar bills on your screen covering 50% of what you see. In the past 24 hours I have spent 6 hours playing this game and every minute was worth it and I hope to be meming on for many more.
