Wild Dose: First Session

Wild Dose: First Session

I absolutely love this. ❤

I’m addicted to cyberpunk-virtual-trippy-worlds and stories. This game served it’s topic very well to me. I almost felt like coming home, getting a hug by neon colors and getting petted by sweet grafic glitches. I’ve played so much crap the last days, so now i probably sound like a freak… but… who cares 😁

The different world maps are big and beautiful, no doubt they were crafted with care. A solid piece of work, easy to handle and user-friendly, but still challenging. 3D platforming may be hard, but to me it was relaxing for some reason, even if i died a few times.

I do recommend playing this prologue but PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE THE CABIN IS. I stopped playing because I couldn’t find the cabin after over half an hour of wandering around. Overall, I liked this prologue and I am curious to see what the developers do with it because they do not have a release date set. To me, that means that they have a lot of development that they still expect to do, which probably means lots of changes.

The cabin was game-breaking for me because it’s the equivalent of a quest where they tell you to find a needle in a haystack- no one wants to do it. I can even see the cabin in a screenshot on this Steam store page but I don’t remember ever seeing it in the game.

There is something unsettling about plugging in your computer, loading up Rutger Hauer’s character and playing a game where he plugs into dead people’s brains to get a look at their memories. It makes noir cyberpunk feel a little too close to home in 2020. RIP Rutger, gone but not forgotten. Off-genre stealth scenes mar this otherwise great experience, worth picking up if you are into cyberpunk, detective mysteries and/or horror games. (Please note that you can no longer buy the original game and must purchase the Redux version)

It’s bad. It is really bad. I wanted to like this game, I really did, and I went in with extremely low expectations. Even though it was only $0.99, I still feel robbed. A junior cheeseburger would be more rewarding than this. I barely made it past the beginning. Everything about it is terrible, except for the aesthetic, which is only marginally interesting. I’m a huge fan of the cyberpunk and neo noir genres, but I couldn’t even begin to get into this.

I definitely don’t have a high end gaming rig, but my frame rates should NOT be this low when the graphics are this bad, so obviously much of the processing is just going to unnecessary lens flares and glow and stuff like that, which does little to make up for everything else. The gameplay is extremely rough and non-intuitive.

Neon code is an experimental 3D adventure game that plunges us in an investigation of corporate conspiracy and murder, carried out by the detective, and main character, Craig Williams, in a cyberpunk world, full of lights and futuristic technology.

The city where the action takes place is vast and amenable to exploration. The 3D graphics are simple but well-done, with dark backgrounds, only lit by street lights and neon ads, which fit perfectly into the story environment. The music, predominantly electronic, blends surprisingly well with the game atmosphere and accompanies us without interruption.

a good trip 10/10

It’s hard to describe this one… it’s a place that lets you go anywhere you want in your own abandoned club, which is sort of equal parts peaceful and lonely. It’s enjoyable making your own music with the in-game synths, and I could see this being great fun to have in the background at a (real world) party. The atmosphere is really strong with some great sound and music, and if you’re someone who enjoys exploring in games for the sake of exploring, there’s a lot to get from this nightclub.

Observer: System Redux

Observer: System Redux

Observer Systemn Redux (2020) is a refurbished version of Observer (2017) both developed by a polish development company named Bloober https://www.blooberteam.com/about-us . This walking horror simulator is based during a cyberpunk era, 2084, when a deadly disease known as ‘Nanophage’ has already become rampant in the past and manifested itself among the slum C district of Krakow Poland. Due to a nuclear holocaust from both east and west, a mega corporation known as Chiron was able to usurp control by segregating the nation from the rest of the world (the great wall) and forming the 5th Polish Republic, further divided into three classes. A-district upper class, B-District working class and C District – slums.

More reviews on our Curator Page

Anyone that has been into gaming for the past few years clearly knows Observer. As a fantastic dystopian thrilling adventure, the game left us all impressed by its story and aesthetics. There was however, a lot which was left behind, and in that regard Observer: System Redux fulfills every aspect, including in the technical department.

But let’s not get ourselves in the optimization just yet, because first I want to assure everyone that no story-related detail was altered or manipulated. System Redux remasters what was already present. This is obviously good, as the story itself was already top-tier, revealing a world where augmented electronics embed in the human body created an easier but also tougher verdict for citizens.
