### Summary
Free roam squad based RTS/RPG with a cyberpunk setting running in the classical veins of Syndicate. Start from the ground up with a weak squad and limited supplies, and slowly work your way up the food chain to take on the big corporations. Acquire a mass of guns and upgrades to help you accomplish your goals. Decide whether you want to use stealth, sheer firepower or a mix of both to complete your objectives and rise to the top.
Plays a lot like Dawn of War II with a Blade Runner theme whilst being fresh and unique. Highly recommended!

A bullet-point comparative breakdown.
Satellite Reign is the best revival yet seen of its predecessor. At about 30hrs in to the final release I am enjoying it, despite it leaving me wanting. Aside from this game’s amazing visuals - which are indeed damn near perfect, the biggest differences between this game and Syndicate are in its comprisal of main gameplay mechanics.

All Walls Must Fall - A Tech-Noir Tactics Game
A great game that just needs a bit more polish. If you liked xcom or syndicate (old school) youll probably love this game.
This game has a few levels to it.
The first level is a great shooter/ and minimal rogue or semi-RPG with time travel mechanics. Some of the firefights can be intense and complex strategizing your twisting of time between hailstorms of bullets allowing one man to wipe out an army.
Its not terribly deep on the surface likly because they didnt get the funds to make the game its full intended length (west germany as well as east germany). I do not regret any time spent, or not spent in this game. (yes its a bad joke since at the time of writing this I have the world record of completing the entire game in 1 minute 29 seconds… time travel accounted for=).

A masterpiece ruined by retard downvoters, small minded casual homophobic cry babies.
I got this game during early access, did a first run but messed the first 3 tutorial missions,
earning low money and getting stuck on harder missions because with low money you can’t upgrade much.
Now that the game is published I did a serious run, nailed the tutorial missions and also unticking the ‘decision timer’ option,
which allows you to think about each move without losing time (time = money).
After those 3 missions you get access to the map, where you can select your next mission.

Frozen Synapse
I’ve bought this game three times now and I’d buy it again if I had more free time. I bought it first as a standalone Linux game. Later I picked up another copy in a bundle that gave me a Steam key for it (it was part of a bundle and there were other games in that bundle I liked, but having a copy of Frozen Synapse on Steam was the sweetener that sealed the deal for me) and I subsequently bought it for Android because I couldn’t get enough of it.
My biggest problem with this game is it plays to my own desire to optimize and speculate on what my opponent is going to do in a turn-based strategy game. The core mechanic tends to lead me to a decision-paralysis. And I love the game intensely for it.

I love it when a plan comes together, and Frozen Synapse is my favourite turn-based game.
It’s similar to ground operations of X-COM, for example, but in a purer, simpler form. There’s no base management, inventory, RPG elements. All units of the same type have identical stats. And, unlike X-COM, RNG does not make much of an impact on outcomes of firefights, if any. The typical ‘chance to hit’ mechanic is replaced with ‘time to hit’. If enemy unit is in cover, your unit will need more time to hit him; if enemy units runs into your stationary unit, your unit will shoot first because he had a bonus to this timer, and the enemy had a penalty for running. Thus, if you can predict what your opponent is about to do, you can be 100% sure what will happen when they encounter one of your units. If.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director’s Cut
Disclaimer: This review was written when Dragonfall was a DLC and will be updated to better reflect Director’s Cut in the future. If you are already familiar with the DLC version, skip to the end for my initial thoughts on the new features.
When Shadowrun Returns came out there were numerous complaints. Rather than ignore them, HBS listened to the fans and fixed many of them when they released Dragonfall. That wasn’t enough for them, wanting to better address the players suggestions they re-released it as a stand alone game and freely upgraded everyone’s existing copy.

2054. Berlin. The Flux State. It’s a world of magic, technology, metahumans, megacorporations, and dragons. You are a Shadowrunner, a criminal who does the dirty work for clients who can pay for your skills. But things aren’t always as they seem, as you’ll soon find out.
As the story unfolds, you’ll find yourself faced with some hard choices. Your clients can’t or won’t give you the whole story, and moral ambiguity will cloud the decisions you make. Not only that, the way you lead your team can have repercussions on how they view you. As you progress through the story, they may open up to you, giving you information about their lives. I felt like this was really well done. Your teammates have back stories, character flaws, and even side quests. It’s up to you to say and do the right things to gain their trust.

Cyber Ops
This game is great and I’m kinda sad it got so many bad reviews. It’s challenging but honestly it’s not nearly as hard as people make it out to be. Once you figure out the mechanics it’s challenging but perfectly feasible after a couple of tries. It had some bugs at launch but they have all been fixed already.
Great atmosphere, good voice acting, nice looking interface and very singular gameplay. Being the guardian angel hacker behind a screen while the operators actually do the work might not be for everyone but I personally love it.

Every negative review is sadly 100 % correct. Only 25 % ever made 1st mission. Only 0,3 % players ever finished the game and 1 % just hacked the “game finished " achievement, because more players finished game than finished last mission. You will be fighting the logic breaking UI problems more than “triangle” enemies. All moving enemies are called “turrets” when killed. You don’t know at this moment if cyborg or human enemy type died.
You will NOT be able to win after level 5 without good oldschool health cheats. The game is so buggy that some mechanics needed for victory don’t works sometimes. I won spider-tank level 6 fight legit first, but squad just glitched at the door when leving the cathedral. QTE skillchecks are also broken or start at unwinnable state.

Shadowrun Returns
Let me start out by saying that this is the first Shadowrun game that I have ever actually played. Yes I have tried the 1993 Shadowrun for the Super Nintendo but I could never get into it due to it’s… Interesting controls (read point and click with a controller). But the game concept and the universe intrigued me, Over the years I forgot the name of it several times but would bring it up every few years and try to find the name of it and feel that they should remake it for the pc where it ultimately belonged. Well a few months ago was one such time that It popped into my head, I did a quick search for it and what did I find but a new Shadowrun being made for its proper platform (psst its the PC). I instantly fell in love with the style and everything I say was just the best thing I have ever seen.

Heads up, I need a runner and you need the Nuyen, are we on the same page? Good. If you’re used to quick and easy jobs, well you’d better strap on tight. This one’s a slap to your senses, a bug in the system, a pair of fools in an all-star hand.

Oh boy. What to start with first?
The Good:
This runs just as well in Linux as it does in Windows, which is encouraging - it’s awesome how well Steam is implementing Linux support, and I heartily approve. I also like the cyberpunk feel, and the whole tech-cult thing is actually a really fun idea. That’s, uh, that’s about it.
The Bad:
The story seems… disjointed. It’s like watching nothing but the recaps of a TV show - you get the gist that a story exists, and the basic ideas, but there’s nothing actually backing it up. Half way through the game, and I felt like the whole thing could have been a single cutscene; reaching the end felt like I’d maybe gotten a third of the way through the plot, if I could call it that.

I WANT to give this game a good review, because the concept and setting are extremely great.
BUT…. Well, it’s not a bad game, but it isn’t a good game either.
The bad things:
-There isn’t a whole lot to do. There’s the campaign at the moment, and that’s it.
-Saving the game is awlays a huge risk, because you can NOT be sure you’ll be able to load your safe. Most saves get stuck at 99% loading, and then just keep on loading forever. Because of this I have started to save frequetly, but to me it seems that has only made matters worse, as I now only can load 1 out of 5 saves, where before I could load every second save or so.

Crypto: Against All Odds - Tower Defense
Those who are familiar with the plants versus zombies series will be right at home when playing this game, Crypto manages to capture a frantic, fast paced tower defense that’s even a bit educational. Fingers crossed for any potential dlc or content updates in the future.

Fun little tower defense game. Does a few things new, does a lot of things well, and scratches the tower defense itch nicely. Story bangs on incomprehensibly but, honestly, you can skip the story and miss nothing. There’s one or two other minor quibbles but, really, for the price you’re getting fantastic value. If you like tower defense games this is a solid entry.

Cyber Ops Prologue
I really enjoyed it up to the cyborgs… tried and tried and tried again to beat it.
Its not clear how to disable them and seems totally random, I loose a squad member every time I attack then once they are disabled and hacked they still keep coming. You have to keep glitching them every 20 seconds or so to stop them which is really annoying. Once hacked they also come straight for you every time they wake up which would be ok when theres only 1 but 3 of em… too much. I cant tell if it was meant to be this hard for the demo so you cant finish it. Up to that point it was fairly easy and had a well paced tutorial.

Huh, neat game.
I think the tutorial is a little confusing. Maybe doing the tutorial in a Special Ops Training Area is a better idea. In this game am trying to learn but I have cyborg soldiers and turrets firing at me. It is a little too much pressure lol.
It took me a while to understand how the tracing worked, but when I got the hang of it (keeping the levels 1 2 an 3 retention windows open and hacking the shit out of everything), I felt pretty cool.
The only “bug” I found was while my team was facing a console, they wouldn’t return fire at a soldier shooting them from the door, even in Aggressive Stance.

M.E.R.C.
This game has a great concept, but game play is not so great.
1. Game Saves - You cannot save to another slot. You current save is your only save! So there is no going back before a mission. There is no quick save, so if you in the middle of a mission and have to leave the game. You will automatically fail the mission and have to start over.
2. Character Models - Not a large variety, 6 distinctive looking character (4 male / 2 female). Would not be bad if you was not allowed to get more that 6 characters on the team. For me, when you have to replace an injury teammate with look alike, just a different name, it takes away from the game.

tl;dr - Cripplingly boring and repetitivw. fun for the first 1.5-2 hours. After that, overly redundant and simple. Especially once you get better gear.

difficulty: So, not having the options to change the difficulty does make it rough at the start, since you can easily go into a mission you are not ready for. the “threat assesment” isn’t so much a warning of how much damage the enemies do so much as it’s a heads up on how many enemies you will encounter. ….
Controls: A bit odd, but not clunky as lots of people describe. Just not typical. but can easily perform maneuvers.
