Scrunk

Ever since I was born, around 12 years of age, I have dreamed of a game where I could build my base, raid the enemy, and fight for scrap. Fortify my team’s base with traps, walls, barbed wire, and turrets, scavenge scrap from mechs and craft explosives. Who is that on the phone? Ring ring? Oh why hell, it’s konami, they want Hideo Kojima back.

Clapping simulator

but really though its a nice little game, matches arent too long or too short, base building that can be really OP, nice little crafting system, and small fun bugs that come with every new game

give it a try yourself!

Can’t believe the normal price for this game, I got it on sale for under two bucks, and it was still over priced.

One pretty small map, for eighty five levels, seven towers that seem to only upgrade twice to level three, with no options or variety. Graphics are decent, though the units movement doesn’t match the distance traveled for the ones with feet. All in all, a piece of jump. Getting my money back.

最后的夜晚 Babel

最后的夜晚 Babel

I would really love to give this game a good review, but I simply can’t. It is broken, unfinished, and not even completely translated into English.

It is a nice, stylish looking tower defense game, but there is much that either is unexplained, doesn’t seem to work, or both.

For example every gun has options beneath it, that might mean damage, range, health, rate of fire and crit chance, but clicking on them doesn’t seem to do anything. All of those are stats given for each gun, but nothing changes when you click them, even after they seem to have leveled up fifty times.

The game has been translated over from Chinese, there are typos in some places (e.g. after base destruction). You can also see direct Mandarin in some text areas e.g a boss has appeared.

I also have a bug where if i zoom out too much the screen starts to shake i believe only on smaller maps. (May be due to ultrawide monitor 3860x1600)

Otherwise, the game is fun! Reminds me of Yorg.IO.

Great price at less than 10AUD, looking forward to updates.

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears:

It all started with the discovery of the Neutronium base element from a deep excavation in 2029, somewhere near a place named Main City. Neutrium turns out to be a powerful new energy that can be used to power batteries and equipment for hundreds of years. This type of energy is always useful for military purposes, and the countries that have access to the Neutrium start a race to develop the ultimate automated warfare unit. The citizens of the world take to the streets to raise their concerns, but the world turns to chaos, leading to the rise of three terrible factions. The worst of the three, the Ministry, wins the race and now controls the world with these ultimate machines of war. That is, until a rebellion of hackers plans to use the machines against the Ministry. It’s going to be Armed to the Gears!

Don't get me wrong with this review, I DID have fun… but there are several things wrong with this game. That being said... i only had like 5.5 hrs ACTUAL time played on campaign..... watched a movie with the wife and went to get more beer while the game was still running. (New Predator movie rocks btw). This game does not suck. I know it is in alpha. I want to like this game more, byt they have a lot of work to do

_Upgrading is confusing at first.. I feel it should be seperated from the turret menu_

## Crypto: Against All Odds - Tower Defense

Those who are familiar with the plants versus zombies series will be right at home when playing this game, Crypto manages to capture a frantic, fast paced tower defense that's even a bit educational. Fingers crossed for any potential dlc or content updates in the future.

Fun little tower defense game. Does a few things new, does a lot of things well, and scratches the tower defense itch nicely. Story bangs on incomprehensibly but, honestly, you can skip the story and miss nothing. There's one or two other minor quibbles but, really, for the price you're getting fantastic value. If you like tower defense games this is a solid entry.

## Orphan Age

[![](https://%CDN_HOST_MEDIA_SSL%/steam/apps/767660/extras/button.png?t=1617736413)](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?url=https://orphan-age.com/)

Orphan Age is a **life-sim game** where you **look after a band of orphans** in a **cyberpunk warzone**.

Set against the backdrop of an unforgiving, **neon-lit dystopian warzone**, your only battle is the fight for survival, scraping out a living in the face of extreme danger. You will **guide a band of orphans**, each with their own skills, emotions, strengths, weaknesses and fears, through a **dangerous and ever-changing city** in a bitter struggle for survival. Constantly **balancing risk and reward**, you must make the big decisions to **ensure the group stays alive**. **Build** up your base, **scavenge**, **craft** and **explore** the city for new recruits, whilst ensuring there are enough supplies to **keep going**, even when it seems **all hope might be lost**.

![](https://%CDN_HOST_MEDIA_SSL%/steam/apps/767660/extras/B_Genre.png?t=1617736413)

Orphan Age plays as a single player campaign with a lot of replayability inspired by the 4X genre. But there’s a twist! 4X stands for **Exploration**, **Exploitation**, **Expansion** and **Extermination**. In Orphan Age, we replace Extermination with **Empathy**, bending the 4X genre into a 4E.

![](https://%CDN_HOST_MEDIA_SSL%/steam/apps/767660/extras/i_Explore.png?t=1617736413)

The city of Orphan Age is ever-changing and procedural. You won't find the same building twice. There are **high risks and high rewards** when you **explore**. You can find **rare resources**, **Orphans to recruit**, but you can also get wounded or worse…

Exploration is similar to the expeditions of Fallout Shelter: procedural text adventures. They offer more complexity though, because you have to make decisive choices while you're out of the orphanage.

![](https://%CDN_HOST_MEDIA_SSL%/steam/apps/767660/extras/i_exploit.png?t=1617736413)

**Hundreds of resources** are left to be scavenged in the Orphanage or in the city. They are classified in **6 categories** that allow you to eat, drink, take care of wounds and to craft the items and resources you need to build your Orphanage.

![](https://%CDN_HOST_MEDIA_SSL%/steam/apps/767660/extras/i_expand.png?t=1617736413)

The Orphanage is the place your Orphans call home. The **environment** surrounding the Orphans greatly affects their moods. Try to keep the rooms lit, warm, furnished and clean for the happiness of all!

There are **38 different items of furniture to build** (beds, playgrounds, science mats, campfire, heaters...) and each one can be **upgraded**.

**Research** allows you to discover better furniture and improve living conditions for the orphans.

![](https://%CDN_HOST_MEDIA_SSL%/steam/apps/767660/extras/i_Empathy.png?t=1617736413)

Orphan Age is a **deep micro-simulation** making each Orphan unique in personality and in gameplay. The Orphans have **different ages, set of skills, backgrounds and personality traits**. Depending on who they are and how well they are, the Orphans will take **different paths** anytime there is an issue to be discussed.

## Space Trader: Merchant Marine

Space Trader Merchant Marine is that strange situation where two very different genres have been combined together in the hope of hitting that once in a lifetime combination that everybody agrees is pure genius, like Vampires and Teenagers, or Ninjas and Cheerleaders. Space Trader doesn't quite hit that special recipe however.

Space Trader is a combination of a numbers trading simulator and a first person shooter and by far and large the biggest problem is that playing the game you have trouble telling which of these two aspects feel the most tacked on.

*– [Real player with 82.7 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197964153663)*

Space Trader Merchant Marine was released in Oct 23, 2008\. It boasts a score of 89% from a review by GameFocus saying, ""One of the best indie games of 2008\. An innovative and addictive experience. Addictive, very fun and innovative are the best words to describe the game and the bottom line is this is a welcome addition to any gamer's library so buy this game and enjoy it."

This is very akin to the how 'reviews' reflected Bubsy 3D on its own packaging, to those that remember.

The game is broken down into four different areas, exploration, trading, time management, and fighting/bounty hunting.
