Meow Lab
This is a really relaxing game. I been playing on and off. Tooka break when I couldn’t figure it out. Love it, highly recommend for anyone who need to de-stress and figure this puzzle out. The music is not bad, sometimes I listen to it but I think it could use a variety, but regardless over all, I love it :D Plus the kitty is what drawn me to the game, so thats a cute bonus factor xD

Short, Adorable and Fun
I am a simple person and bought this game because I like puzzles and black cats. Due to it being so cheap, I expected nothing, but I am pleasantly surprised. This is a very cute puzzle game that starts off easy then gets gradually more and more difficult.
Pros
[olist]
- Fun but simple mechanics that get more complex as you progress. The later levels definitely offer a decent challenge but feel very satisfying to complete.* The Easter Eggs are really cute. I love the Death Stranding one. Too cute!

Kittens and Yarn
A cute little game of untangling the yarns of each kitten. Gameplay involves switching hexagonal tiles to create an unbroken line of coloured yarn. It starts off simply with just two kittens and their yarn which are quite easy. Then another 2 more kittens join in and there is real tangled mess. Difficulty increases with each level and the last 6 levels are quite hard.
A enjoyable game to wind down at the end of the day with no pressure attached. There is no timer, so you can go your own pace. Music is jaunty and happy and a 5th kitten is playing hide and seek in the background.

Nice, challenging, and simple puzzle game. Cute.
However I am not color blind and even I have some problems with these colors: Dark Pink and Red are way too similar. Also game mainly uses red, green and yellow, the most common color blindness colors.

Tess Elated
Inspired by Minesweeper but unlike anything you’ve tried, Tess Elated is fresh and inspiring.
The vibrant and diverse cast of characters makes the story both interesting and rewarding with plenty of laughs.
With a colorful and fun art style and a joyful soundtrack, the game is sure to keep your interest.

“Tess Elated” is nothing new. In fact, it’s a direct copy of “Cavesweeper”. Also it’s NOT a logic puzzle as they claim, because it requires guesswork. A logic puzzle never requires any guessing, only logic. The game has no instructions or a way to skip the long repetitious dialogues between levels. The Medium and Hard modes use three and four colors, so you will spend most of your time guessing, unlike Minesweeper which inspired it. Also, the Achievements are broken.

CATch the Stars
catch the stars is a charming cross between hook and sinkr , with some always unnecessary cat stuff throw in. you’re basically creating constellations by moving stars and removing lines, similarly to the games just mentioned.

Romeow: in the cracked world
A nice and amazingly chill endeavor.
I wanted something lowkey to mess with while I worked on my thesis, and this game was purrfect!
Animations are cute, puzzles aren’t too hard (although you do have to think a little on a few), and really it was just the best thing I could have to played at two a.m. with my head practically in my hands.
Romeow’s adorable questline has so much heart and courage and cuteness that I was fully revitalized after my first playthrough! The music was bright and playful, and I think this game might be my go-to for a little while when I just need a quick mental break between all the research and reading.

Chill “puzzle” game that involves a cat running around ‘n trying to find its’ favorite toy before falling asleep in a cozy cot.
The mechanics is easy to comprehend. No rush. Even if you’re bad with spatial imagination (just like me), running in circles pays off (sooner or later you’ll stumble across the right corridor).
Price is nice for a neat game like this, and the cat is cute.

I found this game from “CATch the Stars” and this was my review for that game which is very similar.
I loved this! I had it running at work on my laptop and played during breaks. I would say it took me maybe an hour total to beat. It’s fairly simple and once you understand it, each level is a fun little challenge to beat. The images, music, sounds, etc. work really well together and it’s a great way to spend an hour or two if you like puzzles.
Between the two, I think this version is a bit more imaginative. Both are enjoyable, though.

Bad North: Jotunn Edition
I’ve heard some negative criticism and some positives about the game and I really want to voice my opinion on this game because I feel like the devs have something really REALLY special here, it’s absolutely worth your time even if you may not get a lot of mileage out of it.
Bad North is a deliberately paced game broken up in to two segments.
- The action phase of the game takes place on the many procedurally generated islands in the game, you choose which commanders to bring (this usually boils down to the same 4 commanders you’ve sunk all your coins in to, unless you’re going for a specific achievement) and then ships with various viking troops slowly sail towards the shores. There’s a big rock/paper/scissors element going on here where shields counter archers, archers counter unshielded units, and pikes counter… well everything without a bow lol. It’s really fun trying to defend all the buildings on each island. It’s worth noting, your mission on each island is merely surviving the onslaught of enemy troops. Keeping the buildings in tact is optional, although, you should strive to keep every building standing if you hope to get enough coin to upgrade all your units enough for the late game.

A delightful roguelite real time tactics game.
What I enjoy about this game:
-
Cute graphics and sound effect.
-
Remarkable details. See this wonderful article from Rock Paper Shotgun for how the devs design their little soldiers in this game.
-
Very friendly to newbies in RTT games like me. It has only three unit classes and seven enemy types. How each unit class/enemy/trait/item/skill functions are mostly intuitive and easy to understand after seeing it once or twice in real action. Also, you deploy your units on a grid-based map and they plan the route and fight automatically. And the game even slows down time when you select a unit to give you more reflex time. You can almost play it as a turn-based strategy game.

Crayon Physics Deluxe
Crayon Physics Deluxe has a unique art style and a different philosophy from most puzzle games. From the beginning, the game tells you, “It’s not about finding just any solution. It’s about finding the awesomest one.” This perspective makes progression much different and will challenge your creativity a lot. As you unlock access to new islands, the levels become very difficult. Throughout my experience, I relied on a few different techniques to pass these levels and it still took a while to get my solves just right. Despite this, I had the most fun during the rare moments when I actually came up with a creative draw to solve levels that went beyond the standard lines, hammers, and square solutions. This is an old game but I was really surprised to see their own playground feature which relies on the level editor allowing access to play user-created content, years before the Steam Workshop was introduced to the gaming world. If you love puzzle games and find this child-like presentation attractive, there is plenty of content to explore to your heart’s content. Game on.

At first, I thought the game was too simple, but towards the end, I found myself having a lot of fun coming up with solutions. However, I eventually ended up getting frustrated and stuck to the same solution almost every single time. (Which was making some kind of pulley system with string to launch the ball anywhere and prayed it hit the target.) Looking at other people’s creations on YouTube, I would have preferred more tutorials for mechanics such as springs. I found that there was simply too much trial and error.

Calm, chill puzzle game with cute images and relaxing music. Not sure why, but completion of the game made me a little sad, bittersweet. But in a good way.
If you like cats and puzzles, this is a nice game.
