Short adventure about healing people’s inner worlds from corruption

You play as Azure the frog healer in the village floating on the sky. The lands of people’s inner world’s have been corrupted by dark-ooze and the only way to stop it from spreading all over the environment is by cleaning it. The corruption may spawn vile creatures, who spread the corruption further. Use your trusty cleangun to shoot foam that corrodes the vile spread and the hydration spell slab for rejuvenating the lands. It is your duty to heal the villagers, will you help?

It is up to you to clean the spreading vile corruption, so pick up your cleangun and start blasting!

Each area’s corruption is unique in some way and as the corruption mutates, don’t be frightened though as your array of tools will also upgrade along the way.

After getting the corruption cleaned the lands are dry and lifeless, that’s there the hydration spell slab comes in.

Use the hydration spell to breath new life into the lands like a painter with a blank canvas, the environment will thank you!

You live in a small village on a floating island somewhere high above the clouds, oddly enough you or the other villages don’t know how you and the others got there in the first place.

The village is cozy and peaceful, away from problems of the other worlds and a home for you and others. You’ll also have your own house to decorate and furnish to your liking, pick up those hydration crystals to buy some furniture!

Bunhouse

Bunhouse

This has quickly become one of my favorite games. I fell in love with just how magical and cozy Bunhouse feels. The music and graphics are amazing, especially for a 1-man dev team. It’s fun to just be in the world the game puts you in- immediately relaxing and happy vibes.

I also want to mention I usually don’t play games like this. I mostly play MMOs and MOBAs, with the occasional RTS or ARPG. That’s a big reason I feel like Bunhouse is something special- it’s outside of my usual genres and I love it just as much or more than my go-to games.

I’m a grown adult dude who owns a car, pays taxes and goes to work every day.

I also own a little bun-boy chub who I rescued a while back from a sparrowhawk attack.

I don’t care about the stigma– this game is cute beyond belief from the wee bunnies to the music– I totally recommend it for chill times after a stressful day at work.

I love the little messages on the top right of the main menu with bun-care tips.

My little bun Pebble approves. :)

EDIT: I just pretty much 100% the game in under 15 hours solo, which consisted of two play-throughs. First one to chill and second to get all achievements and to fully upgrade everything and make a nice looking greenhouse. I get some people’s criticisms of the content, but pretty much 1 hours 1 pound, for a game that I will no dobut come back to, is a great deal. For a single bun-loving dev this is more than impressive, from modelling, texturing, rigging and animation to programming and implementation.

Bunny’s Flowers

Bunny’s Flowers

On the surface it looks like a quaint little pastime, but once you play you start realise it actually is a psychological horror game. These levels are designed to torture your mind and once you’ve come back to the brink of sanity after completing a puzzle, you’re sent right over the moment you progress to the next one. This continuous cycle will break you utterly as it did me.

The only thing that kept me going was Adam and Diego’s strong relationship, I had to do it for them

(In all seriousness this game is pretty great, really enjoyed getting stuck on a lot of the puzzles)

This was a fun game, especially for someone who isn’t a full proper gamer and is rather new to playing games. I liked the puzzles and definitely will be playing through it again :) It’s very cute, I love that every level is named after a flower. I wish it were longer and I wish the interactions had been more interactive, but I still enjoyed it a ton

Staxel

Staxel

I really want to like Staxel. I know I could love it. But, it’s an agonisingly frustrating experience to play. I don’t feel I’m exaggerating when I say most, if not all, of the game’s content is a good idea implemented in the worst possible way.

Every time I want to do something, I run into a frustration that doesn’t need to be there. There isn’t one major issue. Everything is wrapped up in so many minor issues it’s almost worse. I could deal with some singular huge flaw. But that’s not it. It’s just so universally flawed all over.

Let me start off by saying that Steam really needs to consider a 3rd option when recommending games to people. This game is fun, and I kind of enjoy playing it, but there are some major things (imo) that warrant a “do not recommend” review, or rather a “recommend this game unless…”

Pros:

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics are cute and colorful and the 3D pixel character designs are fun. Some blocks' graphics glitch through other blocks which can sometimes ruin a certain look the player is trying to achieve with his/her build. There’s quite a large selection of blocks to use in your builds, and I’m sure through modding there are vastly more blocks to pick from. You can also rotate some blocks.

Hidden Shapes Animals - Jigsaw Puzzle Game

Hidden Shapes Animals - Jigsaw Puzzle Game

Really enjoyed the chill vibe (my wife was listening to me play, and the music was soothing her to sleep, lol), and the puzzles were progressively challenging, but not frustratingly so - at least I didn’t find them that way. I also appreciated that the hint system (which I needed a few times to ferret out some misoriented pieces that weren’t at all obvious to me) doesn’t penalize you in any way. If you’re looking for a nice, relaxing, puzzle game, definitely give this one a go. I’ll definitely look out for other stuff put out by this developer. :-)

Real player with 3.6 hrs in game

A dollar gets you a nice set of nature themed puzzles on a dark background that is easy on the eyes. The images are solved by turning the pieces in place, not by moving them on the board. So there is no ‘dragging and dropping’ which I like. Pieces only turn one way so if you turn it one too far you have to turn it three more times to get it back where you want it. The line art is nice and a starry background appears when you finish each puzzle. The music is peaceful. Best played in the dark to appreciate the night-sky visual theme. Good for a relaxing, casual puzzle. Note: using the hint function, press the hint button again to get back to puzzle-solving mode. The pieces are locked in the the hint mode and can’t be turned.

Tamarin

Tamarin

I have completed the whole game before writing this review, I feel it only makes sense to write a review after completing whole game. Only buy this game if you’re a die hard Jet Force Gemini fan like myself. I was pleasantly surprised by how similar to JFG it is. And considering that its so similar; im not too sure why they didn’t just make it a JFG game instead. If you havnt already played Jet Force Gemini, then just do yourself a favour and play that game instead. This game is… mediocre, as expected. Why do all games these days suck compared to old games? I should probly judge this game based on its own basis rather than comparing it to JFG, but this game even based on its own basis is still a bad game.
