PetrifactionUnderRuin

feature

Bishoujo characters change to various materials (freezing, petrification, waxing, golden, tree-making, soaping, etc …)

Erosion expands with each shot and animation slows down (attack avoidance difficulty also increases!)

Human bosses can also end the battle without defeating them by action (the ending branches accordingly)

Japanese anime style model

In order to express the speed of the enemy and ally while being based on RPG, I quote the battle system of a famous indie game

Since the emphasis is on viewing abnormal conditions, the play time will be around 1 hour when checking all routes. Please note.

More details

Root, a rare user of freezing magic, is suddenly kidnapped one day and throws himself into a battle called “consolidation death game”.

However, this game was a mysterious one that could proceed without defeating humans by solving the gimmick.

What kind of ending is waiting for the selection of the character and route that the player controls?

Press the button at the right time to attack!

Avoid enemy attacks like STG!

Be careful as the movement speed will slow down when attacked!

Even if you are not good at STG, you can ease the difficulty by selecting equipment and level!

Various options for abnormal condition production

Expression of erosion during state change (mottled, even, from top to bottom)

Change the expression for each material (4 to 10 types depending on the material)

Soapy foam expression (5 types including none)

Presence or absence of freezing cold air expression

Material when attacked by an enemy whose material is not specified

Inspired by the Doki-Doki Literature Club VN, but fall short of expectation due to technical issue (skip button doesn’t function properly) and broken English translation. It’s a bit sad because the story is actually not bad. (Even the English translation is meh, you may still able to grasp the point of the plot, if u have patience).

Another disappointing point from this game is the fact that you can’t go back to scratch or new game once u unlocked “the second life” route unless you clear all the data. If you play this game with the aim to get all the achievements, make sure you have a save data from the “first life” route or else, you wont be able to get all the achievements. (I email the Dev about how to get the achievements, and although the Dev can’t speak English, he made the effort to reply mine)

This is some of the worst translation work I’ve ever seen. The game is constantly using the wrong pronouns for everyone and/or the point of view of the narrator is constantly shifting and never telling the player who is thinking. Explanations of things going on frequently wander into “what did I just read” territory. I could scarcely even understand what happened save for the most obvious parts. While I never skipped any unread text, once I was able to start skipping previously read sections, I was already checked out and just wanted to get to the ending. There’s still some bits of Korean left over and even names can’t be consistently spelled correctly. The only positive is the art for the characters and CGs.

Ninki Seiyuu: How to Make a Pop Voice Actress

Ninki Seiyuu: How to Make a Pop Voice Actress

This game exceeded my expectations by a mile, featuring some solid character writing with its development of the three main heroines. This, coupled with great supporting characters and pairings where both the MC and the girls work equally hard to succeed made for a very satisfying experience. Only minor complaint would be that one of its lovable supporting characters(Kaname) does not have a route of her own.

This is a pretty good visual novel with a lot of passion. There are too many H-scenes in my opinion, and some of the expressions don’t change as much as they could in my opinion. The ambiance is well done in this story and the side characters are cast well. The manner in which the text displays the thoughts of characters aside from the protagonist can be confusing at first.

[Light spoilers about plot theme]

I will talk about how I believe the voice actresses were well chosen for their roles.

Kurusu probably has the most generically lovely voice out of voice actresses. In a way, her voice is the polished type that the anime industry wishes to utilize for female leads. She gets a lot of jobs because of this.

Sea of Roses

Sea of Roses

“you were in love and you were trusting. You didn’t know that things like that could happen in relationships”

This sentence made me cry, I needed to read it. Thank you.

I knew Jennifer Ann’s group and their games for several year and as usual this is a lovely gem. Some aspects seems simple, almost too “black and white”, but coming from a similar relationship after 12 years… Some scene were hurtful because they hit too close from home.

It is really nice to see these drawings, almost childish but full of love. The characters are “typical” but not cliché to the point of being annoying. You learn to love them and to see beauty in this world and yours.

Honestly, I played the demo and was interested and waiting for the game to come out on release expecting the price to be between £5-£10 and it’s free! I loved the game, and also the only game I completed every achievement, it’s short game, with really gorgeous art style and colours, with a meaningful story! with cute unique journal.. would recommend! :)

A wonderful relaxing game, I honestly did not imagine enjoying this as much as I did, prob the most relaxed game I have played in a while.

Trust me you should try this game, hands down, not to mention it can be completed in around 30 mins, but those 30 mins are great.

Based loosely on the story of the Canterville Ghost the game features 7 different endings depending on your choices of both dialogue and interactions, some of which is so fun to read it will make you laugh. Everything you do or say will affect your happiness and hostility in the game.

While the English Translation could use a good deal of refinement, This is a Decent Business Sim.

The Evening activities are quite well done.

TL;DR: Recommended ONLY when on sale, maybe around 30% off or more. It doesn’t worth it in full price.

Pros:

  • Cute girls.

  • Good moving image H-scenes.

  • Good optimization unlike other H-game on steam that use Unity as the game engine. I often found H-game that use Unity will gobble up your cpu to 100%, but not with this game.

Cons:

  • The SLG part are very lacking, mainly you will use your money to cook the menu then use the remaining money to increase the stats of the girls, increase your manager level, and customize your cafe in that order. You don’t really need to put much thought to play the SLG part which is the main point of the game and this is a problem.

Please Be Happy

Please Be Happy

Please Be Happy is a comfy, slice-of-life visual novel set in a fictional version of Wellington, New Zealand.

Born as a fox in the forest of Korea, Miho carries with her the memory of a traveler who showed her kindness and spoke of home. Now more human than fox, Miho has spent a long, long time searching for her person. She arrives by airship to Wellington Skyport, one of the jewels of the floating island of New Zealand.

Despite her years spent observing humans, she still has a lot to learn about their culture and society. She’s made a living so far as a thief, her heightened senses allowing her to easily take advantage of people. She’s also seen a lot of the worst of what mankind has to offer.

It’s only after meeting Juliet, the owner of a small library, and Aspen, an aspiring novelist, that Miho starts to understand what kindness is, and that there’s more than just the bad stuff when it comes to people.

Miho’s earliest memories are of her time as a fox, and the kind human she met back then. Now more than just a fox, she’s spent her life searching for that person. Her journey has brought her to a new life in Wellington, New Zealand.

She changes her name every time she goes to a new country. Her previous names include Gumi, Migu, and Mimi.

Aspen is a human girl in love with words and stories. A barista at the Bellhouse Café, she dreams of being a popular author someday. She tries to take a little inspiration from every person that she meets.

She has an hour long phone call with her mom every weekend.

As a vampire, Juliet is one of Wellington’s oldest residents. She’s made the treasures of her life open to all in the form of a library. Aside from books, she also provides wisdom, kindness, and shelter to those who need it.

She dislikes having to resort to echolocation to find her reading glasses.

  • Two heroine routes, with 2 happy endings each

  • A gorgeous original soundtrack by Sarah “Esselfortium” Mancuso

  • Character designs and CG’s by Kobuta, with additional art by minute and adirosa

  • Accessibility options for vision and hearing impairment

  • Full voice acting

Halluci-Sabbat of Koishi

This game is a horizontal scroll action game of sword war system, with fast pace and high difficulty.

In 《Halluci-Sabbat of Koishi》, you will play the Satori monster Komeiji Koishi in Touhou Project, a soldier who is ordered not to quit, returns until the enemy is broken, and an adventurer who runs around in order to hold a witches' Sabbat.

Battlefield is a place where corpses are piled up. Only with the belief of death can we live. If you want to live, you will die.

Princess Maker 2 Refine

Princess Maker 2 Refine

I’ve played the original DOS version and this new version - Refine.

What I liked about Refine:

  • New Japanese voiceovers.

  • The music sounds much better.

  • New text makes it easier to understand some of the courses/work easier. I first played this game as a child and had a difficult time understanding the terminology in the DOS version. As a result, a child may have an easier time understanding this.

  • The Art is less grainy and more refined; somewhat brighter. The flowers in the vase change by the season – which I thought was a nice touch.

Princess Maker 2 Refine can make a lot of princesses but not much of a game.

Story

The story of PM2R is near non-existent, but on purpose. You are a wandering swordsman who saves a kingdom from a demonic siege by defeating the demon lord. Ever thankful for your rescue, the king gives you a home, a butler, and a yearly stipend. The heavens bestow a child of their own upon you. Already age ten, you are tasked with raising her for the next eight years of her life. The story is wildly open-ended from here, as there are dozens upon dozens of endings, but none are particularly impressive; amounting to nothing more than a few short blurbs about the kind of person your adopted daughter became when she left your home. The sheer number of possible endings and permutations of those endings are far more impressive than the quality of them.
