Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae
It’s not too often than I walk down the street and decide that my life plagued by the lack of indie hack and slashes in my life, but whenever I am Steam is there to save the day with a hanky, a knife, and a picture of a waifu.
In Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, a very SEO friendly name, you play as a Mitsurugi out to Kamui Hikae. Probably just means Blade Templar Maiden, haven’t the foggiest.
Your stages are all various flavours of circle and your combat is aiming to hack and slash with the best of them. Why, you’ve got your launchers, your forward and neutral ground combos, your alt combo and your weird katana meter that dictates how much katana you can katana. That can be upgraded to 9 separate full magic bars.

It’s a fun game. Really fun in my opinion. It’s a stylish arena hack and slash game. If you’re a fan of stuff like anime, you’ll probably think the combat is awesome. You slash up enemies with your sword at hyper-fast speeds and as you sheathe your sword, they all fall down, instantly dead. It’s pretty cool.
The graphics aren’t anything mind-blowing, but it looks pretty good and gets the job done. Honestly, it could have been all stick figure people and the game would hold up just as well. The real strength of the game is in mastering the combat. The main character, Misa, and her nemesis, Suzuka, both look well animated. Many reviews/comments seem extremely focused on the fact that you get glimpses of panties, but the combat is so fast paced that I’ve never really noticed. The enemies all look kinda bland, besides the bosses. They are mostly just robot businessmen (I guess…) with a few different colored suits. I suppose the giant robot enemies look kinda cool, too.

Gal*Gun 2
Short review:
Gal*Gun 2 is an arcade-style shooter where you shoot anime girls to deliver them ecstasy, instead of death. You can have characters cosplay and pose for you lol. Great port, I didn’t run into any major issue. Compared to Double Peace, GG2 takes one step forward two steps back, but it’s still stupidly fun. Get DP first if you haven’t, it has a higher fun per unit currency ratio.
A tad bit more info:
Comparing to its predecessor, Double Peace, the gameplay has changed from on-rails shooter to a static 360º VR-ish shooter, but without the actual VR (at least officially supported, check guides for playing in VR). So, instead of the character automatically moving around after an event ends, you now have to choose where to get teleported to next, which kinda breaks the flow (you’ll also see enemies getting teleported into places where there were none before). But at least the cursor doesn’t move by itself when the character is moving, so it might be a huge improvement.

I was a pretty big fan of Gal*Gun:Double Peace…it was a lot of fun and there was a frenetic pace so it felt like you rarely could see it all the first time through. Plus there were multiple routes through some levels in addition to the various choices to win over certain girls and that added some replay value to it. Just about the only thing better would be Double Peace in VR.
Well, this is as close as you can get until INTI CREATES CO decides to actually remake Double Peace in VR (I’d probably buy it BTW). This game is missing a few things but it also added a few things as well. Does the trade off work? Is it worth it? Well I’d say mostly yes, but I kinda wish they kept some of the old system.

LoveKami -Useless Goddess-
Should you get this game? Well, if you like cute love stories told in visual novel format, with a generous dollop of fanservice thrown in, then yes, you absolutely should. Otherwise, it might not be the game for you.
LoveKami -Useless Goddess- is not really a sequel to Pulltop/MoeNovel’s other LoveKami game, though it takes place in the same universe. I haven’t played that game myself, so I can’t compare the two, but this game stands on its own quite well; you don’t need to have played the first game in order to fully enjoy this one. The protagonist is a super-ordinary guy named Sho who, on his way back from the convenience store one night, runs into a girl passed out in the street. It turns out she’s one of the goddesses that’s come to Earth, although she’s what’s known as an “aragami” - a troublesome goddess, of sorts. Sho shares his food with her, and decides to bring her back home until they figure out what can be done for her. Wacky hijinks ensue almost immediately.

LoveKami -Useless Goddess- is borderline NSFW, but it’s not a bad thing.
Don’t get me wrong, it has some good sides
Where do I start.. it gives a very different take on the LoveKami series, instead of Divine Idols in Divinity Stage though it is mentioned but you don’t see any of it here .
Routes
It gives you three routes same as before, but all three of them follow a common route but it gives a different scenario and ending depending on the route you picked. I noticed that how the three routes somehow follow a similar pattern of events and/or conflicts from each other, like they follow a same path but its completely different from each other.

Sonicomi
This game is honestly really fun and allows me to get fairly creative while still letting me be a perfectionist in terms of outfit scores. The outfits are very cute. I was bound to get this game because I adore Super Sonico, but I’m delighted to say that it’s also a great game.
Note: It gets repetitive, and the Skip button for story portions becomes standard. I’m about 60% done with the endings though, and there is a lot of difference in terms of later chapters depending on what route you are going down. I’ve found myself doing other things while I wait for the game to finish skipping long story portions. Thankfully the skip goes fairly fast, but for big portions of the game is may take a while still. But this mechanic is tolerable because the “FPS” mode / outfit mode are so fun.

The price is pretty steep inded but yes, it’s worth it.
There’s a lot of text in this one. If you dislike reading skip, the option is there but keep in mind that the story branches and you might skip over stuff you’ve never read (yeah you have to replay it, it such a game). And yeah tbh, there was quite some awsome stuff in there that I never imagined.
The production quality is very high, music is awesome (I can’t get enough of the intro/theme), graphics are perfect for what they are trying to convey and voice acting (Sonico) is awesome. I can’t rememberr being so gripped by a fictional character since playing Gone Home (which by the way is awesome and you should play it). Anyway, just even being in the same ballpark as that game should mean samething.

Anime Zodiac
It looks fun , I just wish it worked. Only half the tiles on the first puzzle work making it impossible to solve.

It’s a decent puzzle game. I found the non-nude version to be more of a challenge. As the borders of each scene are less defined.
But it’s a pity that the achievements don’t count towards your total and perfect games.

Neko Beach is a peaceful beach-based puzzle game presenting cute moving Neko girls in different actions. We have a total of 12 short puzzles to solve and each puzzle offers 3 different achievements.
The characters are on all the puzzles in swimsuits, often with a swimming ring, sunglasses, or a beach umbrella.
The art style is cute, the movements added on them may be good and do accent the
artworks a good bit but for my taste rather extreme for some parts, especially body-based.
We are accompanied by a piece of very peaceful piano music, I little too peaceful because I felt like sleeping in while solving the puzzles but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Yummy Girl
I’m not that good at puzzles but I got through it. Pretty challenging game with some cute girls, and some girls who are not so cute. This 3D anime lewd art style that’s common with games like this was always pretty hit or miss for me though.

A sliding puzzle girl themed around girls and food, there are 12 levels in total. Difficulties vary but you can reset if you get stuck, and none should take too long.
Achievements are tied to solving the puzzle and watching the images after completing.
