Rain City has about 3 hours of content and a nice aesthetic for such a low price, but there are some problems with puzzle logic and interface. I noticed that ‘Cotton Game’ is not listed as the developer, so I wonder if they were involved with this project on the creative level - I would expect more polish from them if they were. Overall, the puzzles are very similar to the previous games, and they can be somewhat challenging if not a little heavy on the moon logic. I also had a few problems with the atmosphere when it comes to the soundtrack. In my opinion, there are too many rooms that don’t have any music, that being said, I think most of the songs are enjoyable. While I understand that devs were trying to use the silence strategically, it was just too much and made the game feel empty. Additionally, the game is a bit glitchy, but I only had to reset the game one time when my character got stuck in the animation. Some of the interface problems are more frequent, there are all kinds of issues involving pixel hunting.

Hidden Object - Sweet Home
Ok, I am an historian (at least I should be one) and I admit I’m really not accustomed that much to computer programming or game developing, but this game - which has the usual settings window before launching it, in which you can choose to play windowed or full screen, the resolution and the graphics quality - when put in tray or in the ctrl+alt+canc window (ok sorry readers, my PC interfaces are all in Italian or in French and I don’t remember now its name ahah) it’s called “Woman House”.
Quite different from the game title on the Steam store..

How can anyone like this. Ok it’s a game where you search for hidden objects, that’s cool, but why do you have a story that was written by a 9 yo girl it’s so bad. The characters face is so badly photoshoped, just use someone from real life. If I had to rate this game I would give 2/10 just because Iike searching for hidden objects. Also can someone tell the dev what hidden object looks like the game on hard mode AKA the last 5 lvl out of 15 btw, every object you click on is collected and it’s just super boring and I am going to keep it running on background only to get the stupid achievement. Litterally who would spend their time on this game legitly playing it. There is like one million of free online games so why would you spend your 1,59€ on this game. I got it for free so it doesn’t matter to me, but just why would you do this. How would I make it better you might ask: 1. Delete the story 2. Make the objects look like they aren’t photoshoped in it 3. Make more than 15 lvl in which you have 5 different rooms 4. Make it free or for 99 eurocents 5. Make a level selection 6. Add mute audio 7. Don’t add more languages if you don’t even know them just don’t translate them with google thx 8. Add some real objects not like mushrooms in kid’s room I hope your kids don’t have them there 9. Don’t loop one song it becomes annoying as hell just loop 3 or more songs NOTE: If you wanna argue with me about that this game is not bad etc. I allowed comments

Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble!™
Rarely have I felt as compelled to write a review for a game as I have for this one. Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble (DHSGiT) offers a peculiar type of challenge. It’s a game of highs and lows. Whether or not you’ll find it fullfilling seems deeply personal in a way I’ve rarely encountered.
At first glance, DHSGiT appears quirky and charming - undeniably unique. A quick look at promotional material suggests 1920’s teenage rebels taking on their school and town with wit and verve. I was excited to install the game. Who wouldn’t love mouthing off to authority figures and getting into all kinds of period-appropriate debacles?

Can’t even remember why I have this game. Probably from one of those bundles with tons of indie games in them. Obviously, I didn’t expect much here (usually, those cheap indie games turn out to be a complete garbage) and launched the game just to see what did I paid for. But guess what? I’ve got hooked and was unable to stop playing until the very end. I’ve literally stopped playing bigger games and just sat there, playing this. Totally didn’t expect that.
So, what is this game? Well, that’s the funniest part. The thing is… it’s hard to tell. Just because it’s pretty much a unique experience. Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble! is designed after a board game, but it’s way more than that. It has a plot that involves the investigations and multiple endings, it has RPG elements (you can manage your “party” and level up your characters), it has mini-games and even some visual novel parts.

New England Detective: Breakfast in Boston
This is a nice experience. The story, characters, dialogue, it’s all very smart, more than you could expect at first glance, I really encourage everyone to give this a try. No details are overlooked, when new developments happen in the story they take the time to address them and ponder their significance, A smart game.

If you don’t pay too much and don’t expect too much it is a close decision. This is a 5 out of 10 so a tie goes to the runner like in baseball. Too many stereotypes and too little plot. The author does create interest at some points but then it sort of is wasted. One reviewer online trashed it for being unrealistic as he knew something about real police work. I also know something about “real” police work and the thing that struck me as wrong was that the police did not treat him as an enemy. I have hired a number of private investigators and the only ones that the police tolerated were retired police (from that department) that took up private investigation work. But this is not a documentary and we should allow some artistic license to the author. There is no romance or love in this just a tiny bit of sex. This is not a real mystery just a read along and see what happens. You get to make a FEW choices like whether or not to eat peanuts at the bar. Seriously!

600Seconds ~The Deep Church~
More than any other, I think the word “odd” describes 600Seconds the best. More compelling than the sum of its parts, 600Seconds combines exploration with a fairly short and straightforward third person shooter adventure through a church. Exploring the empty church in the waking world for items for ten minutes before your siege in the nightmare seemed, at first, an unnecessary and kind of obnoxious feature (ten minutes is a long time!) though it does help set a certain kind of mood, but after dying in the nightmare once or twice the interest was made more clear to me.

First and foremost, I think it’s best to remember that this is StudioGekko’s first title. So know going in that it’s not very complex, not very long, and may be prone to jankyness. All that in mind, I still had plenty of fun with the game.
Item placements are not random, so learning the layout of the church and location of everything was really fun. I like that there’s no text or story to read and that I can just make my own assumptions about what’s happening, though maybe a little more to see would’ve been nice. After my first couple of unsuccessful runs, I thought I was done with the game but I found myself coming back to it the next few days to learn more and give it another shot.

Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6hkJGDzOUA
First Impressions
Having recently played and reviewed the first game, which really disappointed me, I’m not at all looking forward to Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard (FD2). Considering how well received the first game was, I don’t see the developers changing up what they did the first time, as there’s no reason to fix something that’s not broken. Knowing I’d knock it out quickly enough, I decided to play it sooner than later to find out whether I was right or wrong. To spare any potential mystery, I wasn’t off the mark in my prediction.

Frog Detective is back! A delightful sequel to the original game
Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard picks up right after the events of the original game, The Haunted Island: A Frog Detective Game. In a lot of ways, the games are very similar, both are a short and easy point & click adventure game, where you play as the titular Frog Detective, who need to gather clues and figure out who the culprit is within the case. This time, you are aimed to solve a new mystery. You need to figure out who wrecked the parade the townsfolk of Warlock Woods were preparing to surprise their new neighbor, an invisible wizard?!

Harvest Island
You play as Will, a kid that lives on a remote island with his father and sister. You give your harvest offerings to the gods by milking cows, petting goats, shearing sheep, and planting crops. The island is big and you’ll be able to traverse to new and unknown areas, discover wild animals that’ll hide in the thickets of trees, and explore the deep, dark, depths of the island’s caves. But you can’t wander off too far from your home. It’s safer to stay in the comfort of your farm.
-
Collect coconuts, seaweed, horseshoe crabs, and other peculiar stuff. Offer your gatherings to the gods.
-
There are tons of different types of fish that you can catch all over the island. Each fish has their own behavior and habitat. Depending on the conditions, fishing during the day, night, or far off into the corner of the island, will catch you different types of fish.
-
Craft various tools from your workbench to help you further explore the island. Create useful items like a ladder, axe, and a fishing pole.
-
The gods are always asking you for offerings. Be sure to give them what they want.
-
As time progresses, the forest, caves, and seashores changes. You can see the sunset and sunrise while the landscape changes. Or watch the fireflies come out.
-
Enjoy sunny or rainy weather. Experience animals hiding from the rain. Sometimes you’ll get a sprinkle, and other times it’ll pour down hard.
-
There are many wild animals on the island. You can befriend them, pet them, or even feed them. Sometimes they will give you items they find in the wild or show an undiscovered passage for you to explore.
-
Tides fluctuate as time progresses, changing the island’s landscape. New paths open and allow you to explore the island further than before.
