Is very cash money

so im not usually a fan of 2d rpg games but i used know the person who made this game for he was a substitute at my school that every liked so i made an exception. This game isnt half bad, it is a great indie game with good sound tracks and great game-play. if i were to criticize it on one thing it would be that 1:its a bit difficult to go to full screen, at least for me. and 2: its is a bit pricey ps: i have not finished the game.

Shattering Obsidian

Shattering Obsidian

By the end of my time with Shattering Obsidian, the main character, a native, conscientious healer-type, was becoming cynical and rather merciless due to the tragedy surrounding her, It didn’t have to be this way, it was because of my choices, which I hope are carried forward to the next chapter.

Really enjoyed this. Great story, leaving you wanting for more, in chapter 3!!

I highly recommend this game.

A brilliant adventure game- sort of a hybrid rpg and ‘point and click.’ I don’t want to spoil it, but you can’t help but be drawn in to the story. Chapter 1 is more fantasy focused, but heart-wrenching. Chapter 2 is where it gets very steampunky- where the need to know what happens next becomes tantalising!!!

I can’t wait for chapter 3!

The Stone of God

The Stone of God

The game story was weak and their was no challenge to this game. It ran by itself for 80 hours because I forgot to shut down. For the price, there is MUCH MUCH better value in game hours and complexity - try A Tale of A Common Man. The dialogue in the game had glaringly obvious spelling and grammatical errors - there was just no effort from the game maker to make this fun. Or it was their first day. The maps were simple and all up, there were only about 20 quests. Terrible game. Don’t bother.

Lakeview Valley

Lakeview Valley

The Elevator Pitch:

It’s like “8-bit Horror Groundhog Day: The Game.”

Only, it’s really more like “Groundhog Week”, and you’ve traded the meteorology for murder.

The Meat & Potatoes (& Amy’s Cookies):

I absolutely LOVED Lakeview Cabin Collection, so when I found out that the sole developer of LVC, Roope Tamminen, had just recently released his latest game, I couldn’t wait to give it a try.

It quickly and effortlessly surpassed my already-rather-lofty expectations…

-There is a staggering amount of content in this game.

Lakeview Valley is a refreshing take on the genre of Small Town RPG games that I have thorougly been enjoying. After playing more than 45 hours of it I haven’t even brushed the surface of what this game offers and am still getting a handle on what I’m doing.

You play some guy who moved to a new town where nothing is as it seems and you can choose to be whatever you want. I think this game is amazing and I can’t believe I didn’t pick it up from day one.

Want to be a normal guy living a normal life and get to know people and be helpful in your community while remodeling your home? Do it!

The Red Solstice

The Red Solstice

I’ll skip the stuff about it beeing 8 player coop and sooo on and start talking about the stuff that might not be mentioned as often in short reviews:

The game offers multiple difficulties.. however the base difficulty is intended to be rather challenging for Players.

Which is definitly a good thing since it’s all about improving your own skill and after many defeats rewarding yourself with your very first win… somewhat darksouls-esque..

Classes:

So far there’s a total of 8 classes and depending on what the player wishes to accomplish every class has one or more distinctive roles.(Tank, Healer, DmgDealer,Scout….)

I played this game when it first came out and I immediately fell in love with it.

It’s a slick tactical shooter. With hordes of alien zombies trying to kill you. Meanwhile your team of husky voiced men attempt to complete your objectives.

Again it’s a great game. I stopped playing it for some time and decided to get back into it and immediately fell back in love.

Great set of classes

Assault-great all rounder very good beginner class. he’s great with light weapons and rifles and he even smokes a cigar. Do you want to live forever?

The Witch Doctor

The Witch Doctor

the game is easy to follow - storyline much the same as others, enemies not too hard to kill. what I do not like is the fact that the best skills come at the end of the game so are useless as with finding gold in chests- nowhere at the end to buy items- maybe there will be a sequel- good for players who want to play an easy game

Real player with 12.1 hrs in game

Once again you must save the world. This time as a witch doctor with 3 partners.

And even if your main character is the only Witch she is also the weakest magic user.

Now, the graphics are nice.

Sound is OK.

Story the usual.

BUT….the world is very very small. Only a few dungeons and thats it. Yes, there are a few (even smaller) optional dungeons (quests). But the whole game was finished in less than 4 hours.

You can only visit dungeons and towns in a certain order!

The fights are EASY. You only get 1-2 different enemies in every dungeon and hey, you don’t need to change your attacks…just spam them with spells and thats it.

Above the Skies

Above the Skies

good game

Real player with 11.1 hrs in game

This game is riddled with problems from start to finish.

First, the story. The game’s story is almost nonexistent. There is no proper introduction sequence to convey the issue in the world or even the main characters' motivations or who they are at all. Things progress from point A to point B, but nothing is elaborated so the player has no investment as to what’s going on. Right until the end of the game, you do not feel any stakes whatsoever because you are unable to understand anything.

Next, the biggest issue is the glaring grammatical issues. Personally, having an error or two is perfectly acceptable, especially in a low budget project like an RPGMaker game; however, there are NUMEROUS problems that you cannot ignore them because of how noticeable and frequent they are. From improper spelling, missing words, or awkward phrasing from the characters, it adds up as, like I said, they are frequent. It is obvious there was no effort to spellcheck or proofread for the final product.
