Guns Undarkness

Guns Undarkness

【overview】

“Guns Undarkness” is a “Stealth RPG” that combines typical stealth game features such as remaining undetected and invading antagonist’s territory, with the traditional command type JRPG. The gameplay is roughly divided into two parts: a stealth part that hides on the field and a battle part that is developed by a turn-based command-type battle system. Encountering without being found by the enemy allows you to enter the battle in an advantageous manner. Aim for the depths of the antagonist’s territory while managing your resources well.

Tortured Hearts - Or How I Saved The Universe. Again.

I’m not much of a review writer, so I’m not going to do an in-depth analysis, but 150+ hours in I’ve become completely addicted to this game. As advertised, it’s old school in the larger sense of its design and flow, but it has elements and specifics that are entirely unique. It is difficult at first to figure out how some things work, so you do what pretty much all old school RPG’rs did: play for a while, figure out how things work, then start a new game for real. There’s a huge demo that can serve that purpose for you. This is not one of those games with 40 hours of cut scenes and an onscreen arrow pointing you to what you need to do next, where flashy graphics (that sometimes even work) substitute for game play. You will get quests that you will not be able to solve until well into the game, and you’ll have to stop and think about where you need to go and who you need to talk to. If you want a game that holds your hand and points you to every answer, this is not for you. If you want to solve things on your own, can handle some frustration and you value the game over flash, I think this is a great game for you.

Game has some great potential but just far too frustrating. I fully get the concept of trying not to “hand hold” to make the game more difficult, but so much of this game is just running all over the map just hoping you find the right person to talk to and trigger the correct speech line. The entire game is mostly just based on brut force.

Then there is the combat system. You have no control at all over what your team does in combat. To make it worse, the AI is horrible. You will find your team wasting mana casting a cc spell on an already cc’d enemy or casting the same spell over and over that the enemy is immune to. A strong monster will be one hit away from death and your mage will cast three straight buffs instead of killing the monster.

Hero Lilith

Hero Lilith

Did about 5 hours today and had a great time playing. It’s EA so not tons of content but it’s amusing the entire time.

Dialogue is pretty funny.

Graphics are good.

Game play was smooth.

The dungeons and weapons were fun to experience.

Some Frame rate hitching and invisible walls though.

Overall, I’m not sad I bought it and am looking forward to updates!

Back To Hell

Back To Hell

This plays just like one of those free flash games from ten or more years ago where they throw together some clip art images and monotonous music for ten minutes of “gameplay” with no real challenge. If it weren’t for the death scene, I would think this was a toddler game. The team made a couple of bug fixes last year but what this really needs is a ton more puzzles and content and a better selection of public domain music tracks–and a faster walking animation so you don’t have to bounce and spin everywhere.

I actually super enjoyed this game it was an absolute banger it took me forever how to figure out how to use the items because I’m dumb but had a ton of fun playing through it controls pretty well and cursive’s a bit hard to read for me I’m a bit out of practice it was an insanely short game but for 49 cents I feel like I got a good return on my money. my play through here: https://youtu.be/d9g57Q8p4fw

Demelia’s Isle

Demelia’s Isle

Normally, I wouldn’t review such a game after only putting in a hand full of hours. Most especially, an early access title. And yet, that’s why I feel compelled to do so. So often now, people will judge an early build of a game harshly, and Demelia’s isle deserves better than that.

In fact, this game feels and plays like a finished product. I’ve encountered no technical issues at all, and the only obvious work needing done, I would say, would be in the translation. That, and adding some informational tool tips.

Needs so much more work, I would love if there was a way to sell all the loot and gather food or rest to heal. The travel is so slow I felt sleepy trying to travel through the quests as it’s a decent size map. So much more work before it’s ready for market, I’m sad I paid $16.95 for this due to it seeming like it’s at least 4 year more dev at the current rate of work.

They have done some good work on designing the map and quests, but game play is too slow for me and I play simulator games on roblox, this makes those seem exciting.

Hint to developers:

You know that idea you have about the player character being blind or it being to dark to see anything so you have a black screen with maybe the occasional flash of light or little circle of light flitting past randomly? Yeah, the one that saves all the money on special effects in movies? It NEVER WORKS in computer games. No it did not even work there. It certainly did not work here.

I do not recommend buying this. It starts out iffy but quickly decays into black screen without even a bump sound to tell you you found a wall. Brilliant for a game, yes?

Something Strange in the Woods

Something Strange in the Woods

Something Strange in the Woods is a Unity asset flip from serial scam artists, INFINITE BRIDGE. In this case I’m not 100% sure which asset/game template they’ve ripped off, but I’m sure it is one. Why? Because they do this crap all the time. Here’s a list of the other ones they’ve done that I’ve seen so far:
