Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
TL;DR - I loved it, but it is rough in some areas. The people complaining about it being a d20 game are dumb for buying a pathfinder game and expecting it not to be. I love it.
Good -
Fun gameplay, decently implemented from pnp.
There’s a ton to do (for most part, more under bad).
The VA’s are great, when the lines are voiced.
The replayability is off the chart, I am on my 3rd playthrough and not bored of it at all.
SO many choices that can make one playthrough completely different than the first.

A Quick Summary:
Wrath of the Righteous, in a nut-shell, is an excellent party based RPG. It uses the pathfinder system which allows for very complex character builds. The overall story is quite good, and the graphics are definitely up to date with modern RPGs.
It does have bugs, but the developer has been fixing them. While the worst bugs have been fixed, there are still quite a few minor ones. I am sure given time that they too will be fixed.
The Good:
The Pathfinder RPG system. In most CRPGs I have played in recent years, the character building is fairly simple. You pick a druid or a fighter which comes with a few basic skills or abilities, then every few levels you may pick a few more. With the Pathfinder system you have a plethora of choices and other classes to mix and match in. Even basic classes have 4 variations, not to mention feats and mythic powers.

Planescape Torment has a great story. The atmosphere of the game is really cool, and the soundtrack is really nice. The soundtrack for the city of Curst is my favorite. It is an old rpg, and a lot of the game is centered around dialogue options. I recommend it if you have the time to play a slower paced rpg. If you play it stat up Wisdom, Charisma, and Intelligence for expanded dialogue. It is not my favorite classic rpg in terms of combat and game play, but I’m glad I took the time to beat it and experience this classic. Great game that doesn’t just feed you the story, you have to pay attention and piece it together as you go or you might just miss the deeper meaning. What can change the nature of a man?

Revolution: The Spark
Fight back in Revolution: The Spark, a story-driven, turn-based tactical RPG. With dwindling resources and enemies at every turn, what will you do to survive this revolution?
The Story
On the brink of revolt, the common people cry out for justice from their heartless queen. This story is set in an alternate steampunk world in the early 20th century in the Capital of the strongest Empire in the world. The game tells a story of a military veteran, Alex, who becomes increasingly frustrated with the growing corruption of the monarchy and the exploitation of the common folk. When Alex’s brother gets arrested for an attempted coup, Alex will have no choice but to fight if he ever wants to see his brother again. It appears that a concentration of power lies in the hands of a powerful few. But there is more to this than meets the eye. These few are being manipulated by supernatural beings that feed off of the fervor, lust, and wrath of humankind. A spark of revolution will change it all.

Shattering Obsidian
By the end of my time with Shattering Obsidian, the main character, a native, conscientious healer-type, was becoming cynical and rather merciless due to the tragedy surrounding her, It didn’t have to be this way, it was because of my choices, which I hope are carried forward to the next chapter.
Really enjoyed this. Great story, leaving you wanting for more, in chapter 3!!
I highly recommend this game.

A brilliant adventure game- sort of a hybrid rpg and ‘point and click.’ I don’t want to spoil it, but you can’t help but be drawn in to the story. Chapter 1 is more fantasy focused, but heart-wrenching. Chapter 2 is where it gets very steampunky- where the need to know what happens next becomes tantalising!!!
I can’t wait for chapter 3!

Vagrus - The Riven Realms
Genuinely good. Multiple ways to play through, interesting conceits and brutal treatment of mistakes. A player really gets the feeling that their choices matter to their future and no decision is taken lightly, whether in the scripted events or even in just where to go. Great game to replay using different builds and goals, which adds longevity. A really good strong start form the devs, they should be proud of their product. I hope they continue to build and improve.

Vagrus is for particular tastes. Do you want an open world trade-simulation oriented RPG with a lot of content, almost all of which is delivered through text? Are you ok with playing a character that never appears in the game except through choices and effects you make on your trade caravan, your companions, and the factions you fight or ally with? Are you ok with these choices changing the course of the overall story only in a limited way, so the bulk of your player effect is in how you choose to advance your caravan and companions and not how you destroy an enemy or change the world? Most of the big moments in the game are finding out about something that is going on, but being unable to completely stop it. Sometimes you can’t effect it at all. But, you learn, and in almost every way in Vagrus, knowledge is power. The user interface is wonky, the gameplay is deep but takes a long time to get your head around, and currently the Internet will not answer all of your many questions about how the world works. You’ll need to figure quite a bit out for yourself. Does that sound fun? give Vagrus a try.

Siege of Avalon: Anthology
Really fun CRPG, as others have stated. Setting/Atmosphere is pretty on-point for representing a desperate band of defenders in an elongated siege, which only appears to be going further downhill. There are a lot of characters to speak with, most providing backstory or supplementary lore, with a few providing quests/offering to join your party after a certain point
IMO, you really have a good feel on your characters growth. Starting out as a complete amateur you have to take on what is essentially a suicide mission, which would have ended quickly had I not acquired the heal spell & prepared in advance, that sees your character fairly rapidly gain in proficiency in order to survive the coming perils. The AI companions have quirks (looking at you mage NPC that ran into a corner :P) but they do generally provide valuable assistance in engagements which would otherwise be extremely complicated, if not impossible

Imagine my emotion when i found this jewel in the Steam Store. Let me tell you it was a wonderful surprise. Even if the game has some issues about the combat pathfinding, let me remember to you all that this game has been released in the early 2000’s. I recomend this game to everyone who loves long epic adventures with a lot of interesting characters, and days and hours of fun. This game can be played with three different styles to choose, either you can be a warrior mastering the combat skills, or a scout and specialize in stealth and archer skills or a magician dominating all kind of spells. You will also find companions along the story that you can also equip and provide with items and armor and weapons and all sort of gadgets, they will be valuable partners in your adventure. Im very happy that i found this game again 20 years later after trying it’s demo version in the early 2000’s. I was starting to loose hope about finding it again. But now that i found it here, remastered and reforged i just cant’t stop playing it. it’s very similar to Diablo II, but let me tell you, this game is a masterpiece of is time, More dialogues, more stories, the characters and merchants you will find in this game are so numerous and complex, with stories to tell, gossips, and stuff. It’s very rich in every aspect. Please allow yourselves to play this game. It’s a rare wander.

Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim
Humanity was destined to fall. Your people, the Great Old Ones, were legends among the humans. Tales were told about their might, and whispers rose of how they would one day claim the entire human planet as their own. Of how mankind would simply go insane at the very sight of their malevolent beauty. Finally, the day came for the armies of the unspeakable horrors to rise.
Like, that was it, though. They got their butts kicked. Humanity won. Somehow. It was really, really embarrassing.
Play as a young monster who has only ever known life under human rule. Between finals for University and figuring out who to take to the winter prom, not to mention memorizing your lines for the big school play, you already have a lot of pressure to deal with. Now add the destiny of freeing the Dreamlands from an occupying army. That’s rough. In addition to the school year, now you have this whole giant RPG adventure to go on, complete with quests and stats and skills and party members and blah blah blah!

Torment: Tides of Numenera
Disclaimer: I do NOT reccomend the game at its current pricing. Furthermore, after much thought, I do not reccomened it for what it claims to be. This is no Planescape: Torment and it is not a worthy successor. Nevertheless, there is something worth the time it takes to play, even if it is deeply flawed. Below is my first formal attempt at a review, which I have tried to do indepth and professionally as possible.
At the conclusion, there will be a numerical score with a breakdown for my reasoning behind it.

This is a long review, consider yourselves warned.
I think that the mixed feelings about the game in the steam community and in general express my own feelings about it as well. While there are some aspects that are wonderful, there is also a sense that something is missing or amiss. So, rather than being a extremely coherent essay-like review, this is more of a catalogue of my views on individual aspects of the game. Also, I wil be overtly comparing this game to Planescape: Torment and not treating it separately, because I cannot go back in time and unmake myself playing PS:T and not basing my expectations of this one based on that one. Also, this review is focused much more on the game’s content, philosophy etc rather than on more formal aspects such as combat or difficulty. So, being clear on that, strap yourselves in and we may begin.
