Lost Dimension
Lost Dimension is another PS Vita game that got unnoticed (also released for PS3 too), and ported onto Steam. Needless to say, I’ve heard about the game since last year thanks to it’s catchy final boss theme, but because it was on the Vita, I could never get itplay . But since it’s on Steam I finally have the chance to play it.
Pros:
-
Interesting mysteries in the story, and a great reveal for them
-
The areas are really cool to look at, same with the models of allies and enemies
-
The portraits have hair physics and look sweet

Lost Dimension is one of those games that’s between a thumbs-up and thumbs-down for me. Lost Dimension definitely has some good aspects, and some bad aspects. Since I enjoyed the game enough to do two playthroughs and get all the achievements, I’ll lean towards a recommendation.
Lost Dimension has a decent premise, but rather weak execution. Eleven heroic teenagers are sent to save the world and ascend a tower. Unfortunately, among the team are traitors that will betray the team, but will need to assist the team as they too have reasons to ascend the tower. These traitors are randomly generated per playthrough yet easy enough to discover, but comes off to me as a very interesting idea regardless. Whomever you’ve deemed to remove from your team leaves behind their abilities you’ve unlocked, and can give your team varied builds.

BORIS THE ROCKET 🚀
A kinda hectic run-around-but-think game, nicely themed around quasi-Soviet missile intercept site. Be prepared to value every second of your time. Missions are around seven minutes each, so this is also a “just another bite” thing. I picture this in the evening, a mission or two every now and then. Then again, I love the setting too : )

This game is sort of Papers, Please.
During game you need to shoot down all incoming rockets. But task is not easy. You must properly configure every AA missile while trying to get enough resources to produce new missiles, or for upgrades. You alone in that base so must run on foot to every point of interest.
Actually I like games like Paper, please, so this game is my type of games, and I recommend it to buy. Its cheap enough.

Monster Seek Ep.1

So you’ve read the description and now you’re down here in the comments trying to figure out what’s it all about. Click the video above to see some of the gameplay, mechanic and hear my thoughts on the game.
Warning This game as intense amount of screen shaking and may effect those who are sensitive to motion sickness*
Monster Seek (Ep.1) has wonderful graphics and music with simplistic (non complicated) controls. You character looks like a cross between Dr. Light (megaman) and George Lucas (Star Wars) which got me invested from the first moment I saw the game.

Feign
It makes you feel the fun of making rp with the taste of Town of salem. While such games are usually complex, you can understand the story of all the roles from the first round in Feign. Even if you don’t have friends, you can enter random rooms and mingle. The audience is not toxic, on the contrary, it is sincere.

This game is stressful if you only speak English. Every room I join ends up with me getting kicked, when I say nothing at all. I’ve only played a few games, on the 2nd day of launch. I have many hours TRYING to play this game. Key word is trying, haha. Out of all the hours my playtime says I’ve played this game, I’ve only had about 30 minutes playing the actual game. It’s just not worth it unless you speak Turkish or whatever language dominates this game. It’s sad, because other than that this is a great game.

The Dream is Coming…
“The Dream is Coming…” is a vibrant walking simulator that has you explore an empty Schoolyard and its various building as you find notes, diary entries and clues to follow.
The notes contain little bits of lore surrounding your character and his group of friends. Your character will also have memories revealed when he enters rooms or comes close to certain objects. A text to speech voice will read a sentence or 2 about some mundane thing he remembers about Chemistry class or the first time he met a friend. I honestly didn’t mind the text to speech voice, it’s actually not a bad sounding text to speech program. The main issue is the translation, it’s not translated the greatest. It’s hard to understand the relationship between certain characters when all you have to go on is little bits of choppy lore translated poorly. You are able to get a grasp of the overall story but the little details get lost and with a game like this, that is kind of important. A game like this is nothing but story and visuals (which isn’t a bad thing) but you’re really only left with the visuals as a completed piece. The bits of story you can gather tell a simple tale of a group friends and their after school club. The various memories of simple times and the struggles some face, it fits the atmosphere well.

I was intrigued by the description as I wanted to know how in depth this indie game would go into the lives, thoughts and struggles of students. But I was left most disappointed.
Pros:
→ The music is beautiful.
→ Half of the graphics were unexpectedly brilliant for an indie game; the sky, the breezy grass, the pavement and some items indoors, especially the signs and writing.
→ The afternoon setting sun set the tone perfectly.
→ Songbird ambience in the schoolyard was very relaxing.
Cons:
→ ‘Interesting stories’ in the description is misleading.
! For example; at one point we pass a bicycle in the schoolyard and the ‘story’ is legit: “My father’s bike. After he drank, he stopped using it.” And that’s all we get. It’s more like random facts being spewed out that has no meaning to the story at all (?).

The Panic Room. House of secrets
I love this game. It is very interesting and there are new events constantly to keep things fresh and new. The storyline is interesting, most of the characters are engaging and I love the fact that you can interact with your friends who play by way of gifts and groups for various tasks. This is one of two games I have played since I started on Steam and I just don’t see giving them up.
That being said, there are a few drawbacks as well. First, while the game is free to play, AND, contrary to what a few will say, you can play and do everything anyone else can do, however, the developers constantly put pop-ups in game trying to sell you stuff. I am even okay with that, they made a good product, they deserve compensation for it, my objection is to the frequency and the way they go about it. You will get a pop-up that advertises items to help you with the game (health potions, luck charms etc…) for a certain price, if you don’t purchase, frequently, another character in the game will pop up and “encourage” you to purchase to help win your freedom. I just think it is a little much. I have spent money on the game, like I said, I love playing, I just prefer not to be manipulated into it. That leads into my 2nd objection; the developers mostly ignore the Steam platform game. Panic Room is also on Facebook, the developers are very active, constantly posting news, apologies and explanations for glitches, etc. Here, we get nothing. Never an explanation and they very rarely respond to anything in the Panic Room group. I feel that if you are going to ask for money, you should be responsive to your players. At Christmas, the game was down for a couple weeks. There was never any explanation and most of us were unable to finish a large event because they didn’t extend the time. A few words would make a difference.

As I cdnt reply to Monique’s recent Review, I thought I wd post this to support her views.
I agree totally with everything she has said, so have a read of hers too.
This is a well stuctured and creative game. As a writer, I find the storyline interesting, considering its a Hidden Object Game. It also creates a unique environment with the interactive components among other players, while still being a solo game.
If u choose this u may have a moral dilema with activating “Bad Karma” function.
Most of us did, lol.

Turtle’s Quest
A masterpiece I would say but you cant get past the mission where you pick up wheels and shit cuz Oswald takes everything and then does nothing and he asks you for the same shit again, but guess what it doesnt exist anymore cuz Oswald fakin took it.

Up untill the mission Booty it is ok if we dont consider some of the “minor” glitches. When you retrieve all the materials in Booty and speak to Oswald he just steals all your stuff and you are thrown back to the start of the mission, forcing you to restart the game because the materials dont spawn a second time. I can’t get past this. Devs pls fix your shit!

The Altered Lands
early stage but alot of fun for souls like fans, i see great potential in this and will continue playing to see all the advances itll make, yes there will be bugs and issues but nothings perfect at first and i see this game becoming big

The Altered Lands is a graphically beautiful indie RPG with enjoyable combat. This game is being developed by one person and is currently in Early Access and thus has some areas that need some adjustment/improvement, but nothing that makes the game unplayable or unenjoyable by any means.
