Interrogation: You will be deceived

Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived, is an amazing Visual Noir Novel with a compelling cast of characters that complement the rich story-driven detective-noir experience really well.

Playing as a lead detective trying to solve small-time crimes, gathering evidence, interrogating suspects and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, it seems like just another day at the job.

--- Okay so first, let me be clear. I ABSOLUTELY love nearly every aspect of this game! However, due to strenuous replays and a little bit of lack of guidance, the tediousness has far outweighed my enjoyment which is saying a lot as I've really enjoyed everything else. This review is spoiler free aside from game mechanic discussions (fail conditions) Pros: Story - The story is truly engaging. Nothing's worse than a visual novel with a bad story. Interrogation gives you the sense of every character whether you've met them briefly or if they're your go to partner on the task force. *– [Real player with 15.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198000248322)* --- ![Ruthless Water](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/989000/header.jpg "") ## Ruthless Water Was a kawaii chatroom, changed to parkour overnight. ┌╏ º □ º ╏┐ *– [Real player with 0.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198983986852)* ---

The stories trough the game where good and at some points you hesitated if you where doing the right thing or not. The controllers are kinda clunky, it crashed ones for me, and one time the game frooze durring the beheading and the sword flew out of my hand and hitting one of the guardes. I can have indulgence with that, as it is a indie game and all, it is not really for the gameplay / action you play this game ether. Maybe it can be pathed to work better, I dont know? *– [Real player with 1.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197978568511)* ---

--- Sentenced VR is a approx. 1 hour long VR Story experience where you step into the shoes of a public executioner in early times europe. You get sworn in by the local beadle to do the bidding of the lords of the land just like your father had done. "The lords prosecute, I execute." The game presents you with a variety of different executions of criminals that you'll have to conduct. It will give you an insight into what was even punishable by death back then and will throw some moral dilemas compared to modern moral standards at you. Will you keep your oath or will you seek your own justice? *– [Real player with 1.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198022435166)* --- ![ASPEN: Uncanny Home](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1566430/header.jpg "") ## ASPEN: Uncanny Home love the game the atmosphere was awsome little hard to tell most times what you need to do but it was a fun experence and i loved it so much hope yall will make more games like this in the future :) *– [Real player with 3.1 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198199411561)* Aspen: Uncanny Home has a beautifully rendered environment for the player to walk around in. There environment feels oppressive and claustrophobic as you wander between locations in the house wondering where a sound came from or how a doll got into a certain position. For a psychological horror game, this is a great environment, but what this game has in environment, it lacks in player accessibility. The game doesn't give the player direction and leads to aimless wandering in circles around the environment tying to figure out what changed each time and using the left mouse button to zoom in on specific items that change the environment to access the next area. *– [Real player with 2.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198085276142)* --- ![Nightingale](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1182530/header.jpg "") ## Nightingale A bit of background : I have played both acts of Shadows on the Vatican to the end. And I am also old enough to have played every Infocom text adventure when they first came out. So I was really looking forward to Nightingale. Alarm bells rang when I found I couldn’t save whenever I wanted but I must say the branching system works well whenever you wish to change any earlier decision. I have managed to get a few different endings in one playthrough – and not a save file in sight. I found the pacing of the text worked well, introducing a sense of tension that might not have been there otherwise. *– [Real player with 6.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198012751595)* ### Nightingale **This was a very interesting read; I was intrigued!** * * * * Clean crisp user Interface * Story: Not one I have seen covered * Excellent music that reflects the tone and pacing in the scene. The protagonist in this Text Adventure has a special talent. The Nightingale has been helping people for years with their paranormal gift. One person that the Nightingale helped is a professional assassin. That creates a dilemma. This is a short-story set in the "Shadows on the Vatican" universe, but you need not have played them. *– [Real player with 2.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198442230810)* --- ![I Make Saints (Steam Edition)](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1569350/header.jpg "") ## I Make Saints (Steam Edition) This is one of the scariest games I've ever played. I am a horror junkie, I read horror stories, I watch horror movies, I play horror games, and 99% of the time, I'm still searching for that horror rush to be quenched. This is that 1% where I was actually really on edge. The game does have some bugs, the card for the red lit area did not pop for me, but good lord. This game is unsettling as hell. If you REALLY like horror, you really need to play this. *– [Real player with 1.0 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198047232475)* Yea, I'm not sure what to say about this one. I did like the 80's Graphics and the story seemed to be getting very interesting and disgustingly creepy. However, it seems to just go in circles then it just end with a little statement at the end. i thought this game would have more to offer but it was waaay too short and was a looped story line… I guess you can say that this game was "Somewhat" good. *– [Real player with 0.7 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199067121302)* --- ![Interrogation Files: Port Landsend](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1294230/header.jpg "") ## Interrogation Files: Port Landsend I for sure would recommend this game to you if: * You have already played Her Story, liked it, and would enjoy playing a similar game * You wouldn't be put off by lower production values (the acting, in particular, can be distracting) * You can look past and put up with some minor but irritating design flaws If the above describes you then I feel pretty confident that you would enjoy Interrogation Files: Port Landsend. It is clearly a small indie game, but it has an interesting story and I was definitely invested in the investigation to figure out what had happened. For me the good very much outweighed the bad, and I personally wouldn't hesitate to play future games from the same developer. *– [Real player with 15.1 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197971078704)* I randomly came across this little gem while browsing through FMV games and jumped all over it. I like FMV and I like crime, mystery, and detective games so naturally it was right up my alley. It follows the same format as Her Story by watching clips and searching for keywords, but this game manages to take things a step beyond by introducing multiple suspects. The case that unfolds is interesting and keeps you invested. The acting ranges from pretty good to some characters who talk while constantly staring off camera to read their lines. I think my favorite part might have been the built-in 'hint system' for lack of a better term, where you can click a button to get a undiscovered clip unlocked for you. It's a big help if you get stuck and it makes going for the 100% achievement much easier than similar games. *– [Real player with 11.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198025734187)* --- ![Lost Lies](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1445210/header.jpg "") ## Lost Lies ![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1445210/extras/Lost_Lies_Gif.gif?t=1631621344) **_Lost Lies_** is a true detective feature-length thriller movie game. It has more gameplay and puzzles than the others. This is the first game to have voice acting, and I think it did well. The story feels a bit more personal than the others, too, since Marcella's mother and roommate are both present. If you liked the other games in the series, you'll like this one. *– [Real player with 4.7 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198268680035)* This was a really cute and enjoyable game! It's fun to play and quick enough to finish in one afternoon. The small town setting is very quaint and there's a nice atmosphere. I really liked the story line. It was well paced and there are some touching emotional elements and (kind of comedic) surprises! The soundtrack especially stood out to me, since it set the mood very well and was very pretty at times. The voice acting quality is also pretty good considering that this is an indie/one person developed game (which is very impressive!). *– [Real player with 3.6 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198398619657)* --- ![Sherlock Holmes Chapter One](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1137300/header.jpg "") ## Sherlock Holmes Chapter One -Story is quite poor, from the pacing, and the direction of this so called origin story, it mostly makes more holes in Sherlock's story than it does filling in the questions we expected to have answered in a Sherlock Holmes Origin Story. Then if you expect to have at least a decent ending for this story, then you might be sadly mistaken, it will not be a satisfying taste you'll have when you finish the story, you also outta save files that you like or want to replay again, because this game doesn't have any NG+ for you to replay a new game with your progress in hand. The scenes are also van be very off at times, where it feels like you're seeing an illusion, but it was just in Sherlock's odd imagination in the weirdest time possible or in a serious situation. *– [Real player with 42.2 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198196536950)* ### Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, Is it that Elementary dear Watson?
