Jury Trial

Interested in creating your own cases? With the ingame case editor you will be able to write your own cases and share them with the community. Whether fictional or recreated cases, the ingame editor got you covered.

In this law simulation RPG you will join a group of innocence lawyers who take on the fight for justice, representing the poorest of the poor, the victims of the criminal justice system and the wrongfully convicted. However, defending the defenseless costs a lot of money. Therefore you will also be in charge of high profile cases to generate funds for your fight for justice. Work through the case material, find inconsistencies and discover new evidence, analyze and select the jurors and experts, question the witnesses and convince the jury at trial. Your clients depend on you for they have nowhere else to go but prison…

  • Play the campaign, the single case files or download new cases created by the community from the Steam Workshop

  • Create and upload your own cases using the ingame case editor

  • Search for evidence in a variety of different case materials

  • Question witnesses and jurors to find their specific traits and opinions

  • Choose the jury that fits your client

  • Try the case in the court of law

  • Solicit legal and illegal help to find the loophole or evidence that breaks the case

The game is set in a fictional country deeply divided by racial profiling, prejudice and social injustice. A deep bias runs through the country and its people. Apart from your courtroom skills as a gifted negotiator, it’s crucial for you to find a jury that gives your client a chance. Otherwise every argument and scientific fact might be in vain because no one will listen.

Your potential jurors consist of:

  • Ten unique regions

  • Four ethnic groups

  • Six religions

  • Four political currents

  • Four levels of wealth and education

  • And six further defining traits out of a pool of over sixty traits

Killer in the cabin

I truly thought it would just be another deceit game, but it’s more than that! We were calling it Among Us meets Rust, and it really is. The survival mechanic of the game, and the fact that individual players can die for not resting, or being too cold, or not eating…it adds a WHOLE NEW level to the game. Not only are you trying to figure out who the killer is, you’re trying to survive the elements. We intended to just try it out for a little while and ended up playing the whole night. I am VERY impressed, and even more excited to see where the game goes from here!

Well, it was not perfect, but a very unusual and memorable gaming experience. The story of the Judge of the Tribunal, Alexis Fidel, who was at one of the most significant moments in the history of his country - the French Revolution - on the very crest of a revolutionary wave, which is rapidly beginning to turn red. Large-scale historical figures, ordinary citizens, judges, poets, dissolute women, grooms - they all pass through the ruthless court of the Tribunal, a guillotine blade hangs over each one, and only your signature and seal separates life from death.

A quick overview

We. The Revolution is a story-driven adventure game with strategy elements developed by Polyslash. The game takes place during the French Revolution, and it combines historical realities and characters with fiction. In the three acts, you go through the start of the revolution to its near end.

You play as a judge of the Revolutionary Tribunal, Alexis Fidèle. Your goal is simple – keep your head on your shoulders. To survive, you need to maintain good relations with Revolutionaries, commonfolk, Aristocracy, Juries, and your family members. However, this is not a detective game, as some would expect. You are not there to find the truth. You are there to achieve your own goals, and it is solely on you who you set free, send to prison, or straight to the guillotine.

Interrogation: You will be deceived

Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived, is an amazing Visual Noir Novel with a compelling cast of characters that complement the rich story-driven detective-noir experience really well.

Playing as a lead detective trying to solve small-time crimes, gathering evidence, interrogating suspects and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, it seems like just another day at the job.

Okay so first, let me be clear. I ABSOLUTELY love nearly every aspect of this game! However, due to strenuous replays and a little bit of lack of guidance, the tediousness has far outweighed my enjoyment which is saying a lot as I've really enjoyed everything else. This review is spoiler free aside from game mechanic discussions (fail conditions)

Pros:

Story - The story is truly engaging. Nothing's worse than a visual novel with a bad story. Interrogation gives you the sense of every character whether you've met them briefly or if they're your go to partner on the task force.

#### BECOME A DRUG LORD

Take on the role of cartel kingpin In _Pax Narcotica: Trafficker_. Develop smuggling routes, establish distribution across the US, corner the market, and defeat your competition using violence and strategic intelligence .

Choose your own approach to expanding your empire - spread aggressively across the US, or concentrate on specific cities and markets. Use your funds to hire soldiers and buy weapons to defeat your rivals, or bribe key figures to disrupt their operations.

Manage every shipment how you wish, with a fleet of vehicles on land, sea, and air - invest in counter-measures and build impenetrable supply lines,

Violence is not the only option: Undercut your rivals’ prices and steal their clientele, or supply rival gangs with weapons and product and let them do the dirty work.

Hire a team of engineers and chemists to build a network of meth labs, weed plantations, and weapons factories, and reduce the risk of costly international seizures.

Send money and weapons south of the border to build up your base of operations and take over rival territory. Increase the size of your shipments north, or recruit mercenaries to expand your control into new cities.

#### RISK vs REWARD

Every shipment comes with a risk of seizure by the authorities, or hijacking by a rival, but when a shipment gets through the rewards are enormous. You must decide how to reduce the risk, with simple measures such as decoy cars or concealment, or buying shell companies to transport cargo across the country.

#### PLAN EVERY MOVE

At any time you can stop time to plan your next move. Arrange a chain of shipments; send operators to a city to assassinate a rival; transport cash across the border to pay for the next consignment, then watch the actions play out in real time.

#### TAKE OVER REAL CITIES

Expand into over 50 US cities, each with different demands and underworld networks. Choose your clients, negotiate the highest price, and help them build their market share.

#### CLEAN YOUR CASH

Invest in front businesses and real estate to clean your money, then send it south of the border to expand your power base. Always pay your suppliers on time, or risk losing the source of your power.

#### KEY FEATURES

* Play your way: Expand quickly and aggressively, or build up methodically

* Attack your rivals directly, or undercut their prices and cut off their funding

* Cut your product to maximise profit, or sell the highest quality merchandise to corner the market

* Choose how to invest your money; Buy larger shipments, or hire soldiers to expand your operation

* Build meth labs, weed farms, and weapon factories, and hire engineers and chemists to maximise their output

* Recruit a network of cops, politicians, and lawyers, to build your empire, protect your cargo, and clean your money

## RIOT: Civil Unrest

TL;DR at bottom

I honestly wish I didn't have to say this, but…

The game just isn't that great.

Before you rail into me, I'll at least name off some pros:

-Animations are smooth during cutscenes. The color choices are nice, and overall the game LOOKS good...... in most cases. More on that later.

-The game is at least... trying? It's certainly making some good things here and there.

-It finally came out at least. I'm surprised it even came out this year.

-The soundtrack is actually very well-done. Congrats to whoever did it, you did a superb job. Just wish your music was used more often rather than restricted to cutscenes.

RIOT: Civil Unrest was a game in which I really, really wanted to give it a chance. I honestly did. I stayed with it through crash after crash, bug after bug, BS moment after BS moment. In the end, though, I just couldn't stay with it.

The game, while fun for the first few minutes, quickly devolves into nothing more than frantic running around, much like a real riot. The game has more bugs than the Amazon, and is about as stable as the political environment it seeks to replicate. Whenever I finished a storyline, which was only No TAV, as I previously played Global mode and didn't want to replay the other missions, the game crashed just like that. No matter what I tried, when I clicked the button to take me back to the menu, the game froze up and died.

## Shadows of Forbidden Gods

TLDR - Great, unique Lovecraftian turn-based grand strategy game.

The player takes on the mantle of one of multiple eldritch gods with different play styles, bent on bringing their particular brand of apocalypse. The first unlocked god is the most simple - She Who Will Feast, a giant snake that focuses on corrupting heroes and rulers through "enshadowing" them. She starts weak, without a real worldly presence, before awakening, destroying civilised lands and ultimately eating the world. Other gods include Iastur, the Laughing King who focuses on spreading madness to all, Vinerva a god representing nature's bounties but with a serious catch, Mammon (unreleased at time of writing) who offers great material wealth for the small price of eating people and Ophanim (unreleased at the time of writing) who offers mankind salvation from the aforementioned enshadowment but at the cost of their autonomy.

## Electioneering

So I found this game in my qeue (a bit by surprise). And since I really like political-sim and strategy games, I decided to give it a try. Yes, it is really early access but under it's surface is a good strategy game. You have to constantly run polls and ads, so you win over a state on several topics. But at the same time keep an eye on your money. First few turns took a bit of figuring out what to do, but after that I found the perfect strategy. Won my first game fairly easy with 430 - 108 electoral votes. I do hope they add more elements so there's more gameplay.

Good game in development. A bit pricy for the state it is currently in now, but I trust that as updates come out and it leaves Early Access, the game will be higher quality. Definitley a good game if you’re into political stragety.

## Jey's Empire

Great game! Very complex, tons of weird ways to get from A to B, and very funny under the very serious veneer. I saved America from the Red Menace by making a child cry. The only Steam achievement I've ever been proud of!
