Murder Diaries
An unusual idea, but at the same time very exciting. That’s what make this game unique.
I mean content-plot, it is not just a short story. MOREOVER, while playing you are getting more and more new adventures. Our task is to collect some fragments of the story and finally investigate murder.
Pros: interesting plot, good graphic, well-chosen soundtrack
Cons right now can’t be noticed by me, i might played too little time to notice them.
And to conclude, this game is something unusual, not like others one. Really good one to spend free time

COP BASTARD is a old-school classic first-person shooter inspired by action movies from the 90s
History:
Japan, Osaka, early 90s.
Detective Katasha B. has a very bad reputation as a cruel, rude and unprincipled police officer, just a bastard.
Local residents and small bandyugans try to stay away from him, because of his not the cleanest and most obvious solutions to problems. Among local boys, he is known as “Uncle Berry”, due to the fact that he does not part with his beloved pistol Beretta, the only love in his life that has never let him down.
However, even such a character, who avoids any serious business, manages to get into a story that he tried to avoid all his life …
Key features of the game:
-
A bunch of crazy action:
Lots of intense gunfights - make yourself be remembered in this city. Shoot, shoot, shoot…
-
An exciting story:
Immerse yourself in the game and until the very end it will not be clear how the amazing story of a cop from Osaka will end.
-
Nice graphics and sounds:
The graphics and sounds in the game are made in such a way that the player fully feels like a character and plunges into the story.

Lacuna: Prologue
I can’t wait for this game to drop. I played the prologue through and was excited. the game play was varied, there are alot of interactivity between the character and the environment. I really like how you can move through the game as the character talks to himself, most games you have to either skip the monologue or not hear it to continue playing. I never thought I’d like a game with this type of graphics but I’ve been finding more and more games like this that I really like. I saved the date on my calendar for this game.

This is going to be a gem! The prologue mainly is a tutorial of the game mechanics but it doesn’t feel like one at all. It feels like you are experiencing a story and based on the previews of the full game, the choices you make have an impact!
Also, the world just fits my taste perfectly! This is some modern scy-fi stuff mixed with noir elements, considering you play a detective anyways. Filled with so many details, you can’t help but feel like you were in another world for an hour :)
I also love that the game challenges you to use your brain and not just follow the instructions.

Inspector Waffles
I’ve been following Inspector Waffles over the past 3 years or so and was extremely happy to have the opportunity to help out in beta testing as well as drawing one of the Woolball cards. The demo version covers the (relatively short) first of five chapters and does a good job of getting you interested in the full game.
Personally, I love the colourful pixel art graphics as well as the hand drawn cutscenes and the quality is consistently good throughout the game, also helped by the atmospheric music and good sound effects. The characters have a lot of personality (not just gruff street smart protagonist Waffles and his adorable partner Spotty, but also the geeky Pixel, the shrewd owner of the antiques store to name but a few) and the story goes surprisingly deep with some intriguing twists, quite a few of which I did not see coming (or at least not very far in advance) but which all made sense given the facts of the case.

Inspector Waffles is the cat’s meow, hitting the sweet spot for fun in point-and-click adventure games.
I love detective stories; I love point-and-click games, and since Inspector Waffles combines those with cat and dog characters, it was a no-brainer to give it a go. Calling back to genre classics like the Monkey Island franchise, the game hits its comedy notes for a fun adventure in a universe I’d be eager to visit again.
Game Universe
Inspector Waffles takes place in a universe populated by anthropomorphic animals, mostly cats and dogs, with common pet names (e.g., Spotty, Snowball). The player mainly takes on the role of the titular character himself, although there are a couple of scenes where the player acts as Waffles’ supervisor, Patches. Waffles as a character may be intended to be an old school cynical noir detective, but the game’s overall tone is one of humor. The game dialogue is replete with puns and jokes, particularly ones poking fun at cat and dog stereotypes, such as that cats love boxes and that cat booze is strong milk. There are also some humorous fourth wall breaks. The idiosyncrasies of point-and-click games are even sometimes written into the universe, such as the hilarious explanation for limited use magnets.

Kargo - A neo-noir adventure
WHAT IS KARGO?
It’s a minimalistic neo-noir adventure game with a focus on atmosphere, storyline, and stealth driving gameplay. It takes place in the middle 2000s in Eastern Europe, and among our team, we usually discuss it as “GTA+KRZ weird slav kiddo”. I also really love the short description that’s placed above this text, and I won’t feel bad for repeating it here:
“Be a heist driver, smuggle drugs, avoid police, gamble at illegal fight club, meet disgusting people and look for a lost cargo in the middle of nowhere in an open-world neo-noir adventure that tells a story of two thugs working for an Eastern European crime syndicate.”
GAMEPLAY
You’re a driver - so you drive. You’re a driver for a crime syndicate - so you have a gun and you often get involved in drug trafficking and other shady business normal people usually don’t do. You’re involved in the shady business - so you don’t want to get close with the police. In fact, you don’t want to get close with anyone you meet and talk regularly, as they also mostly do shady business and have a complicated moral compass (though it’s usually not as complicated as yours).
It’s simple, you’ll quickly get used to it.
STORY
A few weeks ago, a truck loaded with heroin left the dock of Karpov, but disappeared before reaching its destination somewhere in the middle of two cities. It was later found robbed, with all guards dead and no clues to follow.
The syndicate assigned you to escort the next shipment and sent you an old pal as a wingman.
How did it happen that now you are standing in the middle of the night forest in the Karpov region, observing the corpses of the driver and guards of the truck, the empty body of the car, and not a single trace of the thieves? How did it happen that it was ambushed, while only you and the onboard crew knew which route it would take?
These events will mark the beginning of a long story. Right now you shouldn’t hesitate - the road is waiting, we have a missing cargo to find.
Crime Scene Technician
When the world awakens to life, it discovers the terrible deeds of the night. As a criminal department technician, you will find yourself a regular visitor to scenes of crime, gathering evidence for analysis and skillfully combining the facts - necessary steps for apprehending a suspect.
While the task at hand might seem overwhelming, do not fret - you’re not alone, accompanied by plenty of companions in the form of various tools.
Thanks to the ultraviolet lamp, you will see what’s hidden in the light of day. Test the collected samples in a well-equipped laboratory and recover damaged files or identify fingerprints with the help of advanced software.
Keep in mind, however, that the specialized equipment will be worthless without the most important tool - you! Be perceptive and inquisitive, spotting clues overlooked by others, finding patterns and similarities. Then, once gathered, connect the dots with a line that will lead you towards the truth.
Finish the job by putting the right person behind bars, but that’s not the end! Each day streets are filled with a sordid cast of characters, just waiting for an opportunity to strike. Clear the city of criminals and become a legend in your trade thanks to Crime Scene Technician!
Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure
Disclaimer: I know the developer personally, which is why this review can be considered biased.
Still, I honestly had a great time with Lacuna and recommend this to everyone who enjoys games with a focus on narrative and detective-work.
I played through the game once and will likely play it again, since your choices really seem to have an impact on the story.
The game combines pixel art with several effects such as dynamic lighting and fog. Together with the soundtrack and an overall great sound design, it creates a very captivating and moody atmosphere.

Lacuna doesn’t miss much as the game’s investigation leads you through unfilled spaces and into a deeply compelling sci-fi noir story.
Lacuna - an unfilled space or interval; a gap or missing part - a very intriguing title choice. Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure moves beyond visual novel yet doesn’t really play like a point-and-click game; however, the story and overall feel are sure to please fans of the Blackwell series and similar investigative adventure games.

Presence
Short review: I bought this game at a discount. She disappointed me! Standard graphics in real engine, I tried to play on 3 devices, 2 of them lagged very much, every 10 - 15 seconds! In steam, the passage of the game (community content) is completely different, in the current version, the game leads me to no clear place and does not allow me to go further! What struck me the most was that when trying to collapse the game and go to the desktop, there is an icon of the engine on which the game was made, and the program itself is displayed as “Myproject9” - it’s a shame, I put 2 stars, just because it works. It seems to me that the reviews are screwed up…

When you’re gonna ask people to pay $6 dollars for a game that can be completed in a half hour (my actual runtime was 32 minutes), you really need to pack it with an experience. Unfortunately, this game is minimal on just about everything. The game goes like this; go to room, read note, go to room, get key, go to room, read note, on and on and on. You probably spend more time reading notes than playing the actual game. In terms of scare attempts, there’s virtually nothing. Some loud noises in the background, a boy standing in a doorway, and a hanging body that occasionally swings. The build-up doesn’t even lead to a climax; you simply move into the last room and the game is over.

Conway: Disappearance at Dahlia View
It’s a fun and interesting detective game.
Pros:
-
good voice actors
-
interesting rendering style, I love the subtle outline effect.
-
compelling and fresh gameplay. Every scene had something new and interesting.
-
probably the best lockpick mechanic in a game
Cons:
- I did find myself arguing out loud with the protagonist when he’d make blatantly wrong and biased observations, but after finishing the game I think that was an intentional character flaw to propel the narrative. It’s just frustrating to feel trapped by bad decisions the character is making without my input.

The third entry in White Paper’s portfolio brings back wonderful Ether One memories, not only because it references its setting a great deal, but especially because it shares the same approach to building its central character. Conway is the same type of main character you played in Ether One: he’s stubborn and determined and frail, especially frail, so frail that watching him on screen is almost painful: he can’t climb stairs, he blunders about from hotspot to hotspot, bumping into things and knocking stuff over all around him, he himself gets knocked out a few times during the investigation and you almost expect he won’t be up again, but being frail and moving clumsily mean nothing when you’re that stubborn and determined and he’s just as set on solving the case as Thomas Fletcher was on sorting out his mind in Ether One.

Heavy Rain
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐅𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐆𝐨 𝐓𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐧?
I can’t believe it’s been almost 11 years since this game’s been released. I love this game from the bottom of my heart. I always had interest in story driven games, the moment I saw this game’s trailer I knew it was meant for me. It’s one of those games that defined my personality through my teenage years. How can you not love a game like this. It’s the game that took motion capture to the next level back in those days. Tragic drama thriller movie like game where your choices do actually MATTER. Main characters can die or get injured during their encounters. Every choice you make feels like it will have an impact on your experience. It offers a lot of content and replayability. The action scenes are very intense and gets you locked onto the screen. You can listen to your character’s thoughts that gives you more insight and adds depth about the situation the person’s going through. Which I have missed a lot of them when I was playing 10 years ago even though I’ve played this game more than like 500 hours now I’m discovering new things. To me, Quantic Dream games are really good in terms of creating and establishing scenes as well as writing story with characters and multiple different possibilities. And not to mention the unforgettable magnificent score. It sends shivers down my spine when I hear that Ethan Mars' Theme. Lastly, I believe Quantic Dream company really cares about the content that they’re making at least as I’ve seen from the behind the scenes and artworks.

-How many cliches do you want mr. Cage?
-Yes
I love narrative games so my opinion in this might be a little biased and I obviously recommend this game. It doesn’t come without flaws but we get so little of such games that i’m happy even if it’s not perfect.
