Prison Girl

Prison Girl

In summary, I can’t recommend Prison Girl, the game has a large variety of problems, but I’ll keep it brief in this paragraph. The game doesn’t carry (or even reference) the story mentioned in the Steam page and in conjunction with that, the game is missing English translations in some dialogues. In addition, the sound quality is overall lackluster, the graphics are distorted and suffer from clipping - including the removal of characters’ clothes. Lastly, the actual gameplay loop is way too long, way too boring, and reoccurs way too often.

Left it on while doing work, thus missed the time period for refund, decide to play it out abit anyway. As a bilingual, I felt like the game is poorly written in both Chinese and English. Basically no audio, trashy sound effects seems to be from other games. The character mod I believe is taken from other games as well. The opening looks legit, the map is quite spacious, seems like it could be a perquisite to a decent game. But after that, it just goes downhill, no benefits of befriending others apart from the guard you met at first. The missions gets very grindy, fustrating and boring very fast. I had to alter some game values to see what happens next, to my disappointment, there are no further missions and yes, she didn’t escape at the end.

IN A WORD: WORTHWHILE

IN SHORT:

WHAT TO EXPECT:

One or two player FPS. Violent adult themes. Great crime-based setting. Brutal story. Graphically visceral, lots of blood and gore. Satisfying gameplay but very taxing on hardest difficulty. Fun multiplayer but low player-base. MP modes require a minimum number of players.

ACHIEVEMENTS: A mixed bag. Story ones cant be missed. Some require MP play.

STATUS: COMPLETE.

WHEN TO BUY: ON SALE. DLC rarely on sale.

Grand Theft Auto V

This Review is mostly about the online version of the game, as I can still recommend the singleplayer as a good experience.

Do yourself a favour, don’t buy this game, It’s full of hackers who won’t let you enjoy the game. Though can avoid them by using some methods, you’d basically have to miss out of some game features, including some of the best ways of making money in this grindy game.

I’d recommend buying something else with your money, this isn’t worth much now in the condition it is in. Oh and it has such a toxic community, most people just want to up their K/D, so they target lowlevels or people who don’t fight back and kill them over and over relentlessly.

as a person who has lots of sex all the time, i can say that this game is 100% accurate to having sex with sexy women. like i do. everyday. this game did not make me horny however. i am not gay. i just have too much sex with real women to spend more than 15 minutes in this game, on the other hand i would recommend this game to people who do not have sex (unlike me because i have lots of sex with women a lot) as there is a naked woman in it and she is naked, she kinda looks like one of my many girlfriends who i have sex with a lot. I have lots of sex. i also an very handsome and women ALWAYS want to have sex with me because i am very muscular and handsome and very good at video games. all my girlfriends say im very good at sex and playing video games and being handsome, one of my girlfriends asked me to have sex with her but i told her i was playing a sex game instead so she started crying and became a lesbian and killed herself because i did not have sex with her. i have sex with women. not men. i am not gay. I am very cool and handsome so girls always have sex with me because i am very cool and sexy. my penis is very big. all my girlfriends like my penis because it is very big and i am very good at sex with my women. every woman ive had sex with is very sexy and so am i. i have lots of sex. i am also very handsome and sexy and have lots of sex.

L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire

Great game with a unique premise. The facial animation is used to determine if a witness/suspect is telling the truth or lying. The voice acting is solid and the cases are based on real life cases of the era. The developers researched how police investigations were done in the 40s and it shows.

Sadly, I can’t recommend this game as you require a connection to RockStar’s Social Club. After 30+ hours of playing the game stops connecting to the SC. That means it wont' launch. I’ve reinstalled the game but still I can’t connect to the SC. Such a shame too. It was good while it lasted. I’d avoid this entirely.

Buyer beware.

I have bought the Complete edition and it did indeed have all the content and DLC. However in 2019 I had to uninstall to make room for other games, and here I am in 2021 trying to reinstall it, only to find that it only gives me some of the content.

It only gives me a couple of the patrol cases and the DLC that didn’t come with the original game and I found none of the regular game levels are there at all, which is odd as I had done most of them before I had to uninstall and still have trophies for them.

Interrogation: You will be deceived

Interrogation: You will be deceived

Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived, is an amazing Visual Noir Novel with a compelling cast of characters that complement the rich story-driven detective-noir experience really well.

Playing as a lead detective trying to solve small-time crimes, gathering evidence, interrogating suspects and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, it seems like just another day at the job.

Okay so first, let me be clear. I ABSOLUTELY love nearly every aspect of this game! However, due to strenuous replays and a little bit of lack of guidance, the tediousness has far outweighed my enjoyment which is saying a lot as I've really enjoyed everything else. This review is spoiler free aside from game mechanic discussions (fail conditions)

Pros:

Story - The story is truly engaging. Nothing's worse than a visual novel with a bad story. Interrogation gives you the sense of every character whether you've met them briefly or if they're your go to partner on the task force.

## This Is the Police

After finishing the main storyline of this game and playing it for ~29 hours, I am incredibly torn on this game. I love it, and yet, there's some parts of it that really bother me. Ahead may be some spoilers, but I will try to put those in between tags.

Let's talk core gameplay loop first. There are so many cases you will send officers to and many you will get through through simple math which the game explains to you very early on. This is the basis, but the game offers many distractions. The community will come calling, as will city hall and eventually, bad guys in multiple different shapes. This will eventually get incredibly hectic, which I experienced as fun. There's a detective (and one other) minigame where you try to piece together the cases frame by frame and I simply loved it to pieces.

I always have a difficult time writing a negative review about a game that I liked for the most part. So how about I do this: I will first tell you what I really liked about the game, because, if you do like it yourself, you should totally buy it. And then I will explain what I really hated about it.

If you don't like to read, then watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlLk-t-kCl0

And yeah, I fixed the sound and redid the vid.

So what did I like about the game?

1\. 80% of the story. The story is brilliant for the most part. I love novels that put the protagonist up the wall, and when he/she tries to react, they get their backs pushed further up the wall to the point of barely having any control of the situation.

![Mafia III: Definitive Edition](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/360430/header.jpg "")

## Mafia III: Definitive Edition

After 3 playthroughs, I decided it's time to give this game a review. a different one from the majority of "Not Recommended" you see here. Mafia III Is deeply flawed and after the Definitive Edition upgrade, it yet remains the same but it had something special that kept me playing it for such a long time, I simply couldn't leave a thumb down on it.

### Story

🔹Mafia III tells the tale of Lincoln Clay, a colored man who got screwed by the greed of the Italian mob ruling the fictional New Bordeaux based on New Orleans. He loses his family and father figure and now he's out for revenge. However, this is not your average vengeance story that ends just with killing the bad guy. Lincoln wants to take everything Sal Marcano the mob boss has worked for, makes him suffer just the way he did by busting up his rackets, taking over the city district by district and killing closest to Sal including his wife, son, and brothers. Throughout the game, after each main mission completed comes up a cutscene where the people who knew Lincoln the most are participating in a documentary show on his life and actions, picturing real-life photos and videos. This is where is the story shines the most as you realize piece by piece on Lincoln's background and the damage he inflicted on the mob.

After putting in 85 hours into this game, I think I finally have a pretty good idea why I like it and why I hate it at the same time.

TL;DR: Great story and themes, horrible game design with repetitive gameplay, bad graphics and horrible bugs and performance.

Mafia 3 is a massive great tasting shit sandwich! It deserves the hate, yet it’s hard not to love at times. The solid writing and great characters with really good voice acting and pretty good facial animations, accompanied with great shooting mechanics and some improvements over the last game are spoiled by remarkably repetitive game design and the usual “open world” clutter of useless collectibles.

## Noir Chronicles: City of Crime

I never thought I would write a negative review for a HOG published by Artifex Mundi, considering that I am a huge fan of their games, and that the game was created by Brave Giant, which is a decent HOG developer. Yet, _Noir Chronicles: City of Crime_ bothered me on so many levels, that I feel the need to warn people about it and suggest that they might want to double check this title before deciding to purchase it.

Let me start by pointing out that the asking price of $15 is horrendously high, judging by the fact that the game takes around 3h to complete, without skipping any mini-games / HOG scenes and includes the extra chapter featured in the Collector’s Edition. There are so many other titles that are worth your $15, with a much higher replay value (_Noir Chronicles: City of Crime_ has none at all) and even at its highest discount of 50% it’s still a pretty bad buy.

### Final Verdict: Buy! Misunderstood game that's good for puzzle beginners!

So this game has a Mixed Review status and I'm not sure why. Maybe people's expectations were a little too high to accept this puzzle game geared for casuals / puzzle beginners. This is a classic point and click puzzle game with several hidden-object games (HOGs) mixed in. It's a cheesy film noir inspired adventure.

Several reviewers have listed the story as being bad … I think they missed the point. It's supposed to be cheesy. It's a fun, casual romp. It's not meant to be gritty nor a Sherlock adventure type mystery ... it's not even Agatha Christie. I enjoyed the story and laughed along the way at just how silly it was. For example, to get a door unlocked you talk to this old lady neighbor who wants the bad smell gone before she will help you. The bad smell ends up being a dead fish. You either enjoy that type of adventure story or you don't, I guess.
