Languish

Languish

This game is an evil PT clone. Let’s rip this sucker open. A common fear in the horror gaming industry is where the ethical line is drawn. “Languish” crosses that line and turns around to spit on it. This “game” flat out uses photos and audio from news broadcasts about an actual murder and the victims. It includes things such as the male involved in the crime trying to obstruct justice by misleading police to believe he has nothing to do with the case, all the way to actual relatives of the people involved being questioned by news outlets and being ripped straight into the game. This is a disgusting practice that in no way should be encouraged or even allowed on the Steam storefront. Do not give this developer your money, instead report the game to steam and have them deal with it. This entire game is a mockery at best and a downright disrespectful shit post at worst.

I really liked this game and would recommend it. For $3 it gave some pretty good jump scares. If you want to watch me play through it check out the video below:

What a fun game. Combine Hotline Miami, Payday and Superhot and you have this. The levels get tough pretty fast, the story is a bit generic but true to life for low level criminals trying to make a big score. I played the demo for around an hour before committing to buying this. Really enjoyable, fast paced and very rewarding game play. Only a few missions into the game but loving it.

The weapon system is excellent, you can’t have 5+ guns like some games, it runs off a credit system. The credits represent free inventory slots. With this system it makes you think about your approach, will you need more space for cable ties? Or will you go in with guns and explosives.

The game is a lot like Payday with a Hotline Miami Top-Down perspective, you do heists stealthily or not.

This offers very interesting mechanics compared to Payday, in particular the fact of being able to move the tied civilians and to hide again his weapon in order to remain stealthy.

I hope it will become more popular and evolve through updates.

COP BASTARD

COP BASTARD

COP BASTARD is a old-school classic first-person shooter inspired by action movies from the 90s

History:

Japan, Osaka, early 90s.

Detective Katasha B. has a very bad reputation as a cruel, rude and unprincipled police officer, just a bastard.

Local residents and small bandyugans try to stay away from him, because of his not the cleanest and most obvious solutions to problems. Among local boys, he is known as “Uncle Berry”, due to the fact that he does not part with his beloved pistol Beretta, the only love in his life that has never let him down.

However, even such a character, who avoids any serious business, manages to get into a story that he tried to avoid all his life …

Key features of the game:

  • A bunch of crazy action:

Lots of intense gunfights - make yourself be remembered in this city. Shoot, shoot, shoot…

  • An exciting story:

Immerse yourself in the game and until the very end it will not be clear how the amazing story of a cop from Osaka will end.

  • Nice graphics and sounds:

The graphics and sounds in the game are made in such a way that the player fully feels like a character and plunges into the story.

I liked the idea of the little chicken, with a humor, just stay tuned to the details and look for clues, in the classic point-click style.

Murder On The Island

Background

This is the first Visual Novel by the renamed Forever Young Games which previously released Global Soccer Manager simulations under the same name. It is written by Márk Kovács as an experimental foray into this genre and it’s purely a Kinetic visual novel where an holiday island owner interviews the remaining 13 holiday-makers after 1 is discovered murdered on the 1st day of a week’s stay on the Island.

Murder on The Island is pretty much a Detective Kinetic Novel were you try to find the Murderer. Sadly you can only try to solve it by reading the Story. You dont get any Choices or get to decide on who did it in the end. Nevertheless just for the Case and the Infos you get while playing i found it quite interesting. It took me axactly 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete which would have been faster but you have to wait for the text to completely pop up and you cant set it to instantly.

So just the Story is quite good, however there are also a lot of things I didnt like about it. The Art is just average and the Translation has a few Grammer mistakes that are pretty obvious. The Game also feels laggy as it is completely in 30fps and the Menu is very minimal. You also dont get a Skip feature or any of the other feature you normally expect of a VN.

Mystery

Mystery

A brief overview:

A group of young people set up a tent camp on the shore of the unpopular (but, nevertheless, beautiful!) altai lake. But they were not allowed to rest in peace: soon the camp was attacked by religious fanatics who settled in a dilapidated village nearby.

Ilya Zheleznov, who arrived at the place later than everyone else, found that everything was scattered in the camp, and there were no friends in place. Ilya finds Ivan’s smartphone, on which the young man recorded an audio message in a frightened voice that Marina found some strange amulet in the forest and then she disappeared. Ilya sets off on the tracks that lead the main character into a world full of death and madness

This game is very addicting and refreshing to play. I have never seen a puzzle game like this before and it has been done well here. On top of that, the hacker’s dialogue keeps things interesting and gives the entire game and puzzles a backstory. The puzzles are challenging and make you hate yourself after doing the same move after 10 times of trying it. Would love to see what else this developer releases.

Boodunnit

Boodunnit

Boodunnit, what to say that hasn’t already been said?

Graphics/Art 10/10

Gameplay 5/10

Controls 3/10

This is a really cute game but it is kinda hard to love. Boodunnit has a nice premise and nice mechanics but it feels like it’s incomplete. Sure, it’s a free game and I shouldn’t be harking on it too hard but I have to. I would gladly pay a few dollars to support the devs and help make Boodunnit better.

Camera and Levitation issues have been talked to death so I won’t talk too much about it. However, I feel that most of the issues talked about by people could be alleviated by simply putting the control of levitation on the arrow keys instead of the mouse. That way, you wouldn’t be spinning your mouse around trying to see and control an abject at the same time. Furthermore, it would allow for more control over levitating object which would be nice. Wonder why the Play Testers didn’t say anything. With a group that big, certainly a few of them, if not all of them, would’ve found the controls as frustrating as 90% of the player base does.

Real player with 2.2 hrs in game

The overall art style and aesthetic of the game is gorgeous, the story line is intriguing and kept me interested so that alone would make me recommend.

However, the controls are sometimes frustrating especially when you play as either the rat or pigeon. Moving items is difficult as you have no way of knowing where they are being placed or how you can move them smoothly, you are still able to move stuff and complete the game just with a little difficulty. The camera was also awkward to move at times and did have the tendencies of giving me motion sickness with how janky the movements were.

Escape The Ordinary: Tales of Romina Manor

it was a great game. i like rpgmaker games so i enjoyed a lot.

Can be finished in one hour. Maybe 2 if u are an idiot cuz i am.

  • i like the little detais in the game. They made me smile.

but there are something to fix:

1- u can get into house by window without needing a key.

2- stucks when you go back your home then the other pleace

3- stucks when you go to bathroom for the second time

4- Song stucks in your mind when you see “Mirror mirror on the wall”

There was a lot of item that we can collect but some of them (a lot of them) was not usefull. I guess they are for confuse the player. Not sure…

Cool Mystery game wrapped in an easy to play RPG format. Love exploring the map and seeing Easter eggs and fun comments left by the developer. This game also stood out in that not everything you pick up is useful. This is much more like the real world experience. Wish there is slightly more hint later on in the game, but overall a fun game.
