Riskers

Riskers

It does a great job of mixing modern top down action with the beloved GTA athstetic. I got it for 3$CND and it was completely worth the purchase. The ‘levels’ where you assault building interiors are well designed and enjoyable to fight through, the shooting mechanic feels great and is much tighter than the original GTA, london missions or GTA 2.

On the down side the driving/car systems feel a bit stripped down, including the cops and the city itself. While the game has side missions and a city to drive around in with a few things to find overall the game feels more linear than it’s inspiration and the map is lacking unique set peices and details (no jumpable bridges, trains, car vendors on the docks ect.) It’s not really fair to compare this to a game as influectial as GTA but they kind of force us to and sadly in every way but the gunplay it’s missing so many of the tiny nuances & details that made GTA a classic so keep that in mind if you are fans of the original games scope, you won’t find the same living city or sandbox options in this game.

Doing your rounds one day Rick finds a briefcase full of money in a bin and, being the pillar of the community that he is, keeps it for himself. The Swindle

The Swindle

Unfortunately, despite the absolutely wonderful art, music, style and overall concept, just as many people have reported, loose controls literally spoil an otherwise wonderful game.

As a gamer who loves stealth and loves difficult, but fair games, this one is nothing but frustrating.

It is not a matter of artificial difficulty, the levels, mechanics, enemies, and hazards are all generally fair and reasonable in and of themselves. I have no problem with, and even enjoy a game where you will fail a lot as you learn, knowing it is your fault you failed, or even knowing that the game is designed to make you fail if you don’t do things right…

This is honestly an amazing game with enough style and design choices to give you an experience you can’t quite get anywhere else, however it has a few very big caveats. Starting with the good, the scope is perfect, I didn’t feel like it dragged on or that I needed more out of it, and the pacing is very good. Finale acts as a good test of pretty much everything you’ve learned through your various successes and deaths. I’m more a fan of roguelikes than roguelites, but this game strikes such a cool balance between the two; I wasn’t sure how much of a gimmick the 100 day mechanic would be but it honestly does an amazing job at getting the best of both worlds. The upgrades are all significant enough for you to care about. I normally dislike tweened animation but this game’s style fits it very nicely, visually the game is quite charming. The soundtrack is also really good, I wouldn’t listen to it outside the game but it gets me way more invested while playing, especially the theme when you’re caught. Honestly, there’s not too many exceptionally notable things I could say, but most aspects of the game in general are very solid, it’s quite a fun, charming, and worthwhile experience. As a very loose comparison to give a sense of how the game is, imagine a cross between Mark of the Ninja’s stealth, and Spelunky’s game feel and world gen type.

The Masterplan

The Masterplan

The bad.

I’m gonna start this review with the negatives. The Masterplan is a game I really truly wanted to love. But… I just can’t… First off the game feels too half-baked for a game supposedly out of early access. Examples, why are there two lockpicks you can find on one level but no more anywhere else? Why can I not view my goons stats after I hire them? Why can’t I buy a bigger car? Why after the final score is the only way of exiting back to the normal game to quit to the main menu? It in turn doesn’t save the game from that score so you can technically never fully finish the game. You will still get achieves for it however. And why oh why does the game crash so much? 30 out of my 50 hours spent on this game have been afk for the last 3 nights trying to get the, “It’s my dayjob” achievement seeing how it’s the last one I need to get only to find in the morning that the game had crashed when it didn’t even have to do anything other than just sit there. Finally, I am running windows 8.1 and have a GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2gb version and yet in full screen mode I only get 30 fps where in Battlefield 4 I get 80 fps that can drop to 40 when intense events are happening. That should not be the case at all for a top down game with such basic graphics.

Would I reccomend this to a friend? Nope. This game was removed from early acccess too soon. Review is for v1.2.2

Unstable.

Crashes too often (Seems to be a memory leak. Perfomance gets worse the longer you play), especialy on the later levels that take longer to complete. Can’t complete my current mission (3rd to last) as the game will crash before the mission can be completed. By design, you can’t save durring missions. I’m ok with the lack of saving, but having to rush to try and finish a level before the game will crash, is not ok.

You choose four of six members of your crew, buy tools from the workshop from your income earned from previous missions. There are some members who must be used for certain heists, but you get to choose the other members according to their unique skills.

GREAT GAME!

Finished it in 51 hours (completionist, collected most of treasures-unnoticed) not counting the challenge modes and was a blast from the past lol!

  • Nice 1970’s vibe, music and nostalgia minus the LSD/drugs.

  • Good point & click strategy-stealth-puzzle type of gameplay.

  • Lots (18) of interesting and big complex maps, some can take 30-100 minutes.

  • Some replay value from creativity to complete missions.

  • The game has a pause feature for planning) and have each do different tasks throughout the map.

FBI Agent Simulator

FBI Agent Simulator

CITY OF CRIMES

Enter the city of sin and corruption and find your way around it. Stroll down the grey streets, trying not to get lost in this this sad, concrete town, and be prepared to be called into the field office. Murders, thefts, kidnapping, drug businesses, mafia and organized crime – all of these cases are your daily bread, but it’s high time they were no more.

Are you ready to face the ugly truth and deal with the consequences?

WHO ARE YOU?

What kind of agent do you want to be? In this game you will be able to choose your approach and follow your instincts. Should you put the arm on the suspect or pretend to befriend him? Or maybe let him loose, only to follow him and make an ambush? It’s up to you, but remember – time is of the essence and the lives of the people hang entirely on your success… or failure.

So, are you going to be a good cop, or a bad cop after all?

INVESTIGATE

As soon as you receive the call – pack all the high-tech stuff and examine the crime scene. Who could do it better than an FBI agent, right? Especially since you are well-prepared and own a bag full of specialized tools that will allow you to look for the finger prints, test the blood samples, hack into the devices or instantly look through the police records. Gather all the evidence from the crime scene and take them to the lab!

SOLVE THE PUZZLE

After running through the evidence, you have to try to find a pattern. Maybe it’s about the look of the victims? Or the location of the crime scenes? Or the suspect’s background? The reason behind the murder is different each time and solving the puzzle requires both analytical thinking and perceptivity. Use the old-school, cork board mind map and look for the similarities. The more evidence you have, the easier the task will be!

INTERVIEW

If you have enough data, it’s time to narrow down the list of the suspects and set up some interviews. Prepare yourself and don’t lose your nerve. The culprit may want to put you off your stroke! Decide on the right approach and choose the dialogue options that will allow you to find out more about the crime and define whether the person sitting across the table is guilty or not. You may use the polygraph to help you out!

FIND AND ACCUSSE

Having found the culprit? Great! All you have to do now is to arrest them and put them behind bars. Let’s just hope that you have done everything right! It would be such a shame to frame someone… However, even if you manage to choose the right person, you cannot rest on your laurels. As soon as one criminal lands in jail, the other one just starts doing atrocious things. The job of the FBI agent is never done… So you’d better brace yourself and brew some coffee!

PREVENT AND REACT

Try to prevent the crimes from happening by using the information provided by the counterintelligence and infiltrators, but be prepared for the worse. And when it happens - solve the puzzle and find the criminal by connecting all the dots. Interview, accuse and put them in jail to make sure, that they never hurt anyone again.

Rubber Bandits: Christmas Prologue

Rubber Bandits: Christmas Prologue

Fun PVP with friends. The game itself currently features three different maps to play, each having slightly different layouts. The matches are pretty quick (lasting a couple of minutes) and there is not a lot of stuff you are able to do besides fighting, BUT… When combined with friends, this game is a blast! It is fun and stupid, the more players play - the funnier it gets. And this is just a prologue, I cannot imagine how fun the full game will be

Real player with 5.8 hrs in game

This game made me loose some laughts I haven’t lost in a while! Really fun to play with friends! Specially if you like the rival style of the game, that makes you compete harder with your friends. You can also switch teams and team up!

I can easily recommend this for all ages, it’s funny, practical and doesn’t take much to understand and to play!

It does not get any funnier than this! (Maybe on the full realease)
