Interrogation: You will be deceived
Interrogation: You will be deceived
Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived, is an amazing Visual Noir Novel with a compelling cast of characters that complement the rich story-driven detective-noir experience really well.
Playing as a lead detective trying to solve small-time crimes, gathering evidence, interrogating suspects and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, it seems like just another day at the job.

Okay so first, let me be clear. I ABSOLUTELY love nearly every aspect of this game! However, due to strenuous replays and a little bit of lack of guidance, the tediousness has far outweighed my enjoyment which is saying a lot as I've really enjoyed everything else. This review is spoiler free aside from game mechanic discussions (fail conditions)
Pros:
Story - The story is truly engaging. Nothing's worse than a visual novel with a bad story. Interrogation gives you the sense of every character whether you've met them briefly or if they're your go to partner on the task force.

So if you like light resource management games you will enjoy this game. I played it for almost 4 hours straight yesterday and the time just flew. I did finish my first playthrough in this time so it is a short game but fairly priced around 5 bucks cause it's pretty fun.

Some things you'll find on The Black Pepper Crew:
* Strategy its built on thinking rather than recklessly passing through. Characters don't level up but rely on other crew members and gear to defeat its enemies.
* Each bounty mission has its own location, boss, item reward and the levels are procedurally generated for more replayability.
* The crew has 4 main characters but can be expanded as you permanently hire new members. Each character has its own backstory, abilities and colorful design.
* Lots of items! Heal items, armor, consumables and special gear that change the way abilities work.
* A jazzy soundtrack that takes from several musical genres to add to the atmosphere on each mission.
* This is a game to be replayed many times! Try new strategies, outperform your previous playthroughs, try "no gear" runs, you name it!

## The Deed: Dynasty
Apparently, the Bruce family is just plain murderous, and somehow they've managed to pass their bloodlust along to subsequent generations. TDD improves upon the original game by offering three different scenarios that take place in different time periods. As with the original game, your goal is to successfully murder your target while framing someone else for the crime. Talking to different people and examining your surroundings provides you with the information you need in order to get away with murder; it's just a matter of selecting the right evidence/murder weapon and bringing everything together during questioning.

The Deed is a murder mystery, except this time you're the Murderer and you have to get away with it! If you enjoy the idea of making the perfect kill, evading and fooling the police and getting away scott free, then you should take a closer look at this game.
This release was a quite a suprise to me, I enjoyed the first game, but never expected a sequel. Fortunately its a good suprise, and anyone who enjoyed the first game will enjoy this game, with more refined gameplay and three scenarios to play instead of one.

## This Is the Police
After finishing the main storyline of this game and playing it for ~29 hours, I am incredibly torn on this game. I love it, and yet, there's some parts of it that really bother me. Ahead may be some spoilers, but I will try to put those in between tags.
Let's talk core gameplay loop first. There are so many cases you will send officers to and many you will get through through simple math which the game explains to you very early on. This is the basis, but the game offers many distractions. The community will come calling, as will city hall and eventually, bad guys in multiple different shapes. This will eventually get incredibly hectic, which I experienced as fun. There's a detective (and one other) minigame where you try to piece together the cases frame by frame and I simply loved it to pieces.

I always have a difficult time writing a negative review about a game that I liked for the most part. So how about I do this: I will first tell you what I really liked about the game, because, if you do like it yourself, you should totally buy it. And then I will explain what I really hated about it.
If you don't like to read, then watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlLk-t-kCl0
And yeah, I fixed the sound and redid the vid.
So what did I like about the game?
1\. 80% of the story. The story is brilliant for the most part. I love novels that put the protagonist up the wall, and when he/she tries to react, they get their backs pushed further up the wall to the point of barely having any control of the situation.

## Blacksad: Under the Skin
_Blacksad: Under the Skin_ is a good game, but a rather unpolished one. It plays very similarly to the Telltale style and is reminiscent of The Wolf Among Us due to its grimy New York crime setting and visuals. You can expect a choice in dialogue options, free exploration of larger areas to find clues, making deductions by linking together your findings and examining characters (like in recent Sherlock games) and some quick-time events (QTEs) scattered here and there in the action cutscenes. As far as I know, the game is an interactive adaptation of a comic book series and features a brand new story not seen in the comics.

### Blacksad: Under the Bugs
* * *
_**TLDR:**_ Great story, great characters, nice music. Bad gameplay, bugs and other things that will turn a lot of people off.
Ok, this will be a tough case to crack. I will tell the problems so people interested in this game be wary, but in the end I recommend it. Basically… this game won't be for everyone, not because of the story and themes nor because it's a bunch of antrophomorphic characters in a noir setting...
But because the gameplay is quite bad.

## Angels That Kill - The Final Cut
Notification: English is not my native language.
I played the demo of this game and after I've completed it, I simply couldn’t resist buying it. If you can’t decide whether you want to buy it or not, try the demo first.
tl;dr This game is one of the best I played in a long time. It's very organic and well balanced in almost every aspect: story, music, visuals and gameplay.
### Story
Take role of one of the two protagonists striving for survival and/or better life (which is quite difficult, as you will find out). The tragedy of this city lies not only in the recent terrorist attacks, but also in the appearance of an unknown murderer wandering the streets. The game has 5 chapters (with more to come in updates) and multiple endings, depending on choices made by the player.

Okay, Seeing as the game only has negative reviews at this moment, I figure I'll bring something positive to the table. The game isn't bad, Its strange, but not bad at all. It has its quirks, and its ups and downs like every game does, but by far it's not a bad game.
The style of the game, is dark, it even mentions it in the description. It following through with saying the games dark grey to black and white style is true to that of noire films, with a low detail style behind it, might not be the best choice for traditional noire but the game hits key points within the genre.

## Late Shift
There are a few really good FMV games around but in general there is a drought of this genre so people who love this kind of game just have to take what they are given. Late Shift is good but the lack of a skip function really drags the playtime out and I found myself 100%-ing this game with a grimace on my face towards the end. Don't get me wrong, the story was good but it wasn't good enough to keep me engaged and to play through it in fully 9 times. [See the full review here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndrR3rAR9L4)
*– [Real player with 12.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198402214760)*
This looks great, and is surprisingly interesting as a movie. As others have said, it's probably the most successfully implemented FMV game ever made, which isn't really that high of a mountain to climb. In fact, it's probably more successful as a movie than as a game. There's not much "play" in it, and what there is is fatally undermined by the design.
The theme of the game, spelled out by the protagonist in the opening narration, is that choices define who you are. And more specifically they define who you are internally - your reason for making a certain decision is, in many ways, more important than what the decision actually was.
