Stardander School for Witches
In this SHATTERED world, humans cannot survive without MAGIC. Someone has to TEACH them. That someone is Darestrand - aka Professor Dare - a Celestial-class Fae cat, protector of humans and head of Stardander School for Witches.
As Professor Dare, you will select a few lucky witches to teach, and choose which classes to teach them.
Support your witches as they navigate magical school life, and decide when to help them, advise them, or punish them.
Guide your witches through perilous team battles to keep the forests surrounding your castle safe. Wild Fae are on the rise and a dangerous enemy lays siege - always ready for a chance to strike.
The World
Long ago, humans summoned Fae creatures to this world and bound them to their will. It was an age of power and magic. But when pacts were broken, that very power - the power of the Fae - turned upon humanity and brought chaos to the world.
Only the aid and protection of fifteen sympathetic Fae kept humans from being annihilated. These fifteen became known as the Protectors, and founded the human-Fae Alliance. But one notoriously powerful and malicious Fae - Apexsens - has a deep grudge against humans and has not given up his quest to exterminate them.
The safety of the Protectors cannot last forever - only through mastering their own magic do humans stand a chance. For nearly 300 years it has been Darestrand’s task - and atonement - to teach humans the very magic that once dominated and enslaved her.
After mysteriously vanishing for seven years, Darestrand is now back to re-open Stardander, the best school for witches and the hope of all humanity. Few now know that she was once a great friend to Apexsens, and it was her who long ago broke the pacts and unleashed him upon the world. When the world’s balance shifts again, where will her loyalties lie?

Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal
Played this game back when THQ still exist. Still have the box copy from 2002. I’ve come to love Daedalic Adventure games and suddenly saw this in their list of games and I just have to buy it. :3
The game… this game… is too early for the age by the time it released. It’s one of the very first 3D game with an actual pokemon idea that works back in the days. But it didn’t get the needed advertising from THQ due to financial problem and all that happening inside THQ, so they don’t get a lot of spotlight as a new game back then. A sequel was in the making back then and cancelled. Then THQ went poof and gone history, luckily Daedalic came in and saved this game from going into extinction in an Auction and release it here on steam on 2015.

Old school, comparativly to many other game on the market, and it shows, but was also one of the first games I bought after buying my first computer, so it holds sentimental value to me. I was so sad when my computer died, and my new one wouldn’t play the CD-ROM (which I still have).
But that’s not why you’re reading this.
You play as Amy (or whatever you name her). From what the origional player book implies, she’s the a-typical loner heroine. She gets runed away to a mystical land where she must cure the faeries that have been poluted. How do you accomplish this, by capturing the feries with orbs after battling them and recruiting them.

Fun game, limited scope, fairly simple to understand and enjoy.

I liked the game very well, the story of the game is very short, but that’s it, the game is beyond perfect.

Alba: A Wildlife Adventure
Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is a heart-warming adventure that is one of the best casual games I have played this year. Play as Alba, the young girl as she goes to visit her grandparents on an island where the mayor wishes to build a hotel. Alba and her friend want to help preserve the nature instead. Through her kind actions, Alba seeks to collect signatures from the locals to convince the mayor to change his mind.

Quaint game with a purpose and a message.
Would be good to play with young children (so you can explain some of the situations and language to young kids- teens will “get it” without help IMHO).
English translation is quite good, though some knowledge of Spanish helps.
Some minor issues with getting stuck in terrain. If this happens, load your save, and once in the save where you are stuck, go to the main menu, and into settings. There is a “reset Alba’s position” button that will reset here to a spawn point (not where you are stuck, which seems to happen most often at the Castle- but at the start point for the day, no progress lost, just a bit of travel needed to get back to where you were).

Labyrinth of the Witch
Labyrinth of the Witch is a simple roguelite/dungeon explorer game originally for Android/iOS that was ported to PC. This paid version has all of the characters that you would’ve needed to purchase, and has no microtransactions or other mobile shenanigans.
Positives:
-
Simple and easy to learn. The “Puzzle Dungeons” are a fun and interesting way to learn all of the mechanics of the game.
-
Cute and colourful pixel art
-
Addicting gameplay
Negatives:
- Repetitive music. What little music is here is decent, but gets repetitive really fast. I ended up muting it after half an hour.

Written for 1561’s Thoughts - Honest reviews, for busy people.
Labyrinth of the Witch is a simplified dungeon crawler like DragonFangZ with a cute art style. It removes the frustrating aspects while keeping the randomness and challenge! 7/10

Voxel Runner - Pure Soul: The Journey of the Witch Emily
I was surprised, interesting story with good plot of the game.
I finished the game but I wanted to play longer.
I loved the music and sound effects. There are moments of tension, got out of energy mode mode and there was a spider in front of me, I already thought “shit” kkkkk!

HEARTBEAT
This certainly is an RPG Maker game. It goes just about as far as you can without bothering to push the limits at all, and for someone who plays quite a few RPG Maker games, that makes this game disappointingly boring. While this game does have fantastic art and the music can be quite good at times, that’s about where my praise for the game ends. While the bulk of my complaints will have to do with the combat, I would like to take a moment and point out the game’s writing.
The humor, while charming at first, quickly gets stale as every joke seems to be the same thing repackaged and handed back to you with a different label by a different character. It feels as if the writing would be immensely improved simply by removing all humor from the game - it would do wonders to help the characters stand out more as individuals. I will take care to note that it is the writing and not the story that I am criticizing here. I have heard positive things about the story itself, and I’ll push forward just to see for myself, but my issues with the combat has more or less sealed my opinion on this game.

Go on a grand adventure with the adorable Eve Staccato, her precious Mogwai partner (and feline friend) Klein, and an ever-expanding gaggle of cute and/or rambunctious girls that they meet along the way. Memorable characters, excellent music, and gorgeous artwork make this game an unforgettable experience. In fact, it’s nearly a perfect game for me.
Nearly.
Almost everything about the game from the writing to the gameplay is just really solid and enjoyable. However, I couldn’t help noticing that the game (on Easy) goes through a hefty difficulty incline about halfway through the game and continues to be challenging even in the post-game if you’re not prepared. When I’m in the 80s-onwards, I shouldn’t still be sweating during random encounters, and I certainly shouldn’t be having party members one-shot by bad RNG on multi-hit attacks (that normally target multiple people). The description for Easy even says that it’s intended to be more relaxed.. and for the first oh.. 40% of the game it certainly is.
