Project Grove: Prologue
If you’re a fan of atmospheric science-fantasy worlds and steampunk, you’ll be delighted about the optics of Project Grove! You play as 64 year old Edric Tate (cool to have an older protagonist for a change, btw) who explores a new region together with his little helper robot L-P1N. The two engage in playful banter, which is delivered a bit wooden at times, but entertaining in general.
The gameplay is fun, it consists mostly of walking around, exploring and platforming at this point. The progression of difficulty is good in the prologue, although the last few meters are a bit difficult, platforming-wise. You’ll also need patience to figure out some of the puzzles. But the game isn’t super hard, perfectly doable even for somebody who isn’t very familiar with this type of game.

What I loved about this game is a few things
- The Graphics were nice, and the atmosphere felt somewhat alive with the whales and weird
jumping spiky balls.
- It had Keyboard and mouse as well as Controller options and the controls were smooth and easy to use which is awesome.

Universe For Sale - Prologue
The prologue of this game is really interesting, I love the atmosphere and the settings are so peculiar and immersive.
The plot seems intriguing, I look forward to the complete game release which I’ll definitely play!

This is a prologue for the game Universe for Sale. A prologue is like a demo. You might be wondering what the difference is between a prologue and a demo. Not much. Both are ways of promoting interest in the full game. The main difference is that a prologue has its own store page and a demo is on the store page of the full game. A developer could theoretically release the same content as both a demo and a prologue.
This prologue gives an introduction to some of the characters in the full game. The full game might have potential, but the prologue is rather short. You talk to a few people and that’s about it. Thumbs up for the easy achievements though.

Review Date: Nov 20, 2021
I wrote a giant review, and then after reading through it, realized my opinion was more like no than yes, and when I changed it, Steam erased everything I had written. So, rather than do it again, I’ll just drop some bullet points. I’ve been playing since early in Early Access, so that will color my review.
New overworld trade system is terrible. It’s boring. It’s grindy. and it doesn’t work. I’m at max rep with a faction, and have yet to see the “subversion” mission mentioned in the tutorial.

A decent time killer as-is, but released far too soon for the ambition they sought to achieve.
-
Settlement milestones are sparse and largely uninteresting, with few “make your own goals” opportunities to fill in the blanks. You will pretty much always build the same structures in the same order, and most structures are not actually all that useful.
-
Overworld is shallow and brainless, with pawns moving around for the sake of moving. Factions have no personality or storyline aspects, and the “war” has nothing to make it compelling or interactive. This is actually a bit of a downgrade from the initial concept at the start of Early Access, where there was at least a good vs. evil kind of thing going on.

The Amazing American Circus
Target Audience: Those Willing to Take the Lows With The Highs in Card RPGs
Summary:
This is a recommendation in essence, but for a specific subset of people.
I’m going to be straight up from the get go here: The Amazing American Circus is one of those games that I want to love up and down, but ended up being the biggest thorn in my side due to what happened during the review period. To say that I faced some of the worst bugs: specifically saved game bugs, in my review career would have been an understatement: I had 8 separate runs break wildly in that period where I could not continue to make progress. While those bugs seem to be fixed now, I have a form of PTSD at this point. Every time I play, I’m waiting for the game to break again. Hell, even the video I made had a major bug in it. There’s a reason I have around 40+ hours of gameplay without actually beating the game, and to say it hung over the experience would be an understatement to say the least.

This is not a Slay to Spire, this is not a Monster Train. The Amazing American Circus is not a roguelike-roguelite card game, it is more like a card game built around a campaign, with some management sim built around it, in which you need to cover the costs, upgrades etc from the incomes you get during the shows.
If you more curious about the game, and want to check a short, ~20mins long video in which I showing what content you could expect from the game with one circus show (card battle) included, then here is mine:

Tribes of Tis’te
You are the Blacksmith, newly risen Chief of the Stonewall Tribe. In a land of myth, magic, and monsters, it is your sacred duty to protect your people and see them not only survive, but thrive. How will you choose to serve your people? Will you push them towards power, risking the good will of the people for the chance to become the strongest of the Twelve? Or will you take the path of peace and bask in your popularity, while running the risk of attracting those who might not have your Tribe’s well-being as a priority in their plans?
The path you take is up to you, but be warned, each will come with its own price…
There are many dangers in the land of Tis’te…
Will your Tribe be ready when the Storm breaks?
Tribes of Tis’te is a kingdom building rogue-like, a blend of styles that will let you live the life of a Chief, one of the Twelve Rulers of the Tis’te Territories. As you protect, populate, and grow your territory in order to survive the harsh landscape your Tribe calls home, you will face many different dangers. Tis’te is a land full of many threats to your Tribe, both monstrous and human alike.
As Chief, your time has been allotted into a solidified routine. Each week, in the morning you will greet your agents and petitioners, gathering the news of the world and catering to the needs of your people. After handling the day’s requests, you will have the opportunity to explore the Tower where you live, and can interact with your friends and family as you choose. Send out your agents, check on your councilors, and check off any tasks you may have pressing. At day’s end, you must collect the daily offering of Fyre-Stones and bring them to be cast into the Tower’s Forge, to feed the Fyre used to power the magic protection of the Tribal Towers.
When dusk falls, the game fully shifts into rogue-like mode, and becomes a 2D Platforming Adventure. Night is spent in the King’s Study, a secret section of the tower only available to those who hold a Crown. The Study holds the key (or Keys?) to ascending from Chief of a single tribe to becoming the King of the entire Tis’te. However, the Study will not give up its secrets easily. You will be forced to explore fascinating areas filled with interesting items and dangerous weapons, both protected and wielded by ancient Guardians, not to mention the fearsome Wyld creatures that have made these forbidden tunnels their home. While you search for the fabled Way of Kings, you will learn how to master the Talents and Techniques favored by the Tis’te, and harness the awesome power of the Crown at your disposal.
