Pyramid Plunge

Pyramid Plunge

Pyramid Plunge is a game inspired from the classic spelunking platformers, adding a lot of humour for all ages bringing back the handcrafted pixel-art platforming of the 90s. You’ll explore creature-infested, ever-changing pyramids. Will you be able to dodge the devious traps & get past evil creatures lurking around every corner? Oh! And don’t leave your terrified partner behind!!

  • Play with lovable characters of Giorgio and Felicie, an unlikely couple each with their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Navigate your way through hordes of ancient evil creatures while exploring procedurally generated pyramids.

  • Craft weapons by decoding blueprints from murals and collecting scraps.

  • Collect lost treasures, and buy powerful upgrades and hilarious weapons from the friendly merchant Naeem (who is lost as much as you are!)

  • Explore alone or Co-op with a friend. Or battle it out in a VS match where you – create exquisite chaos with bananas, frying pans, landmines, boomerangs and anything that comes under your hand to steal your opponent’s loot. Just remember to protect your partner at all times!

  • Cross four ancient kingdoms with their own distinct environments and secrets to be uncovered as you make your way down to the exit.

  • Streamer Mode allows Twitch Streamers to let their audience to interact and cause even more havoc. Streamers can let them vote for level modifiers, events, and other surprises. They can ALSO control the Streamer’s partner or even the Bosses!

  • Rewind anytime during the game, and play it in slow-mo replicating those awesome VCRs of the 90s. Re-see the spontaneous hilarious moments that you create.

  • Compete in the daily Pyramid of the Day, where a randomly generated pyramid is kept for 24 hours, together with its leaderboard. Battle it out on the leaderboard, and if you are in the top-spot, you can claim your Pharaoh of the Day title on the game’s Discord !

  • The time is always ticking… if you lurk around for too long, the pyramid will start flooding. Who knew pyramids could flood!? Take what you can, and go go go!

Pyramid Plunge is currently scheduled for an Early Access release later this year, with a full release to follow 3-4 months after.

“What would you call a Pharaoh who farted infrequently?

You can call him toot-uncommon!”

That’s the best joke Giorgio came up with, to try calm Felicie down when they got lost in the Great Pyramid. Meet Giorgio and Felicie. She likes reading and visiting museums and old temples. He likes beer and farting! Their visit to the Great Pyramid was a DISASTER! They got separated from their group. And entered a cursed chamber by mistake where they woke up the Great Pharaoh! The pyramid suddenly became alive with crawling mummies and other creatures. Will they put their differences aside and find their way out?

I’m a big fan of Milkbag Games. They make fun, relaxing games with a lot of thought and creativity in them just for the player’s enjoyment! Santacraft was a lot of fun to play. I was hooked and couldn’t stop. My desire to completely clear the map will probably send me back into the game very soon! Music, characters, and pop culture references are all on point!

EDIT for 2021 update: Love all the new stuff added, including a way to keep building! Thank you so much, Owen and Matt for making SantaCraft even more fun!

A perfectly witty and wholesome Christmas game just in time for the holidays! Definitely worth the $5!

On top of being fun for me, I’ve found that it is a great way to teach my 6 year old to use a mouse as he finds controllers too difficult and has given up on other games like Minecraft. This game is right up his alley with the cute characters as well as incorporating the crafting and building that he loves to do!

IKEA VR Experience

IKEA VR Experience

Of all the early free experiences, this one holds up. They added a Christmas mode to it as well, that’s a good sign! I also don’t recall the stickie-buns from my first play-through, so that must be new as well. It renders well for a Unreal Engine game, maybe that’s my 970 1070 upgrade or engine improvements. I’ve played alot of VR architecture demos, and many more expansive areas to explore, but I don’t think I’ve seen one with this interactivity. There’s a fair bit of fun.

! I once got a free desk from IKEA because the one I had ordered had a slight scratch on it, but c’mon, y’all can buy one, and then photoshot that spit, and build the Mega-Desk(r) you know you deserve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpFx4ygIv9s

It’s so lifelike!

I only went in for a cheap desk lamp, but after 30 minutes of being shepherded through the store without stopping, I found my path blocked by a couple arguing over soft furnishings whilst their child threw a tantrum over getting a hotdog and an ice-cream. I went around them and wandered a little more (on rails as per the store layout) and eventually stopped for minute to look at some bedroom furniture however I realised that I am in fact not a giant and therefore do not have 16ft ceilings in my bedroom ergo they wouldn’t fit (BUGFIX: I think there may be scaling issues). Unfortunately, the couple had caught up with me and were still arguing only this time over the mans commitment to the shopping trip. The child was complaining that it needed to go to the toilet. As if by magic an NPC in a yellow polo neck T-Shirt appeared from behind a mirror (I think no-clip was left on by mistake) and started filling up a pencil dispenser but before anyone could ask the way to the restroom it vanished behind a stack of pillows. I then walked for another 10 minutes until I found the lamp section. I found one I liked but the bulbs were some weird triangle shape that I’d never seen before so I decided to wander round and see if one of the NPCs had any clues. I eventually found what appeared to be an enormous warehouse full of boxes. There was an old man bending to lift a flat-pack bunkbed while his wife looked round nervously with a “excuse me young man could you help” look on her face (the graphics are astonishing) … I decided to offer my help as I thought it might be a side-quest… Unfortunately, the box was slightly too big for the trolley so I had to help them all the way to the checkout while the old lady did more to make it fall off than help (she meant well). In a moment of sheer determination to finish the quest I decided to help them to the car. Sadly, I got distracted by the sound of a child screaming “BUT I DON’T LIKE STRAWBERRY SYRUP ON MY ICE-CREAM” at full volume followed by crying as I left the store and I forgot to ask the nearby NPC about the lamp. By the time I remembered, I was outside waiting for the old man (Collin) to fetch the car (BUG REPORT: the bollards have odd collision boxes that the trolley won’t fit through). It was a 1993 Nissan Micra. Even after removing the basket of knitting supplies, 1972 AA road atlas of Great Britain, and full tool set including kneeling pad from the boot; I realised the box wouldn’t fit. I tried everything as the old woman looked on expectantly but no luck. Sadly, we unboxed the item in a bid to make it fit (Nice Tetris clone mini-game) and it meant the item could not be returned so I had to restart the quest.

Overview

This game does the bare minimum of everything it claims to have. Some things in the games ‘About’ are rather disingenuous to this as well; this is the inspiration in creating an extensive and spoiler-free review. The combat, farming, quests, dialog and environments are the same exact cliches as every other game of this type. Everything felt uninspired and dry. All in all this had a feeling of being an early access game where all major mechanics were present but had yet to be fleshed out. Many games fall into this category, and a lot of them make up for it by being charming or unique in some niche- this game does not.

Pretty good! The crafting is well thought and original. The enchanting cards really take me back to Legends of Mana

Fun little game if you like to watch auto-battles and try to figure out the best gear and setup to advance further.

The adventure mode is very bare-bone but the puzzles are interesting (although repetitive) and it is a good way to farm for gear and money, especially early in the game.

I got over 20 hours of fun until I felt I maxed out on gear and could not push further.

But the game just got an update with new, much more expensive gear that should allow me to push my champions a little further and squeeze more fun out of this game.

Harvest Life

Harvest Life

Farmingggg! raises hand

If you enjoy farming games like Farm Ville or Stardew Valley, but at a more amateur level, Harvest Life is the game to consider. I was somehow very addicted to this game once I have started it, and couldn’t stop till I get 100% achievements. However, the game is still buggy in a way, but it didn’t really bother me.

So, basically you do…planting, fishing, chopping wood and taking care of your animals. Apart from the basic chores, there are other adventures within the game, that I shall not disclose. Simple game, but quite some content.

Real player with 76.5 hrs in game

For those who like simple farming game, this is an enjoyable game with decent gameplay. Good for spending your free time sitting and doing relaxing stuff. No complicated thinking

required so it is suitable for beginners and kids, or for days when you’re too lazy to spend brain energy on a game.

The game still could use some improvements, or fixing, though. There are so many glitchy things in farming that had me ponder on quitting and getting a refund. For example, the cow would stack over each other so it became impossible to milk them. I had to resort to hiring a worker and set them on Shepherd task. Which is a big inconvenient, because sometimes the grandpa asks me to milk the cow for daily task, and I can’t get it done using worker/employee.
