Don’t Give Up: Not Ready to Die

Don’t Give Up: Not Ready to Die

“Don’t Give Up” has relatively simple mechanics, but they work very well within the game context.

The game raises existential and philosophical questions that make you ponder but without being too pretentious.

Even with a high challenge level, the game keeps you engaged and makes you want to go forward to see what happens next. Recommended!

This is an adorable game with a lot of bugs. I would recommend it to others under the guidance of prepare for things to suddenly not work for inexplicably no reason. I honestly love the story enjoyed the visuals and find the concept engaging.

But if you dislike mechanics blowing up be warned. At one point one of my inventory squares was inaccessible meaning that 10 mins into the game I could not craft items that required all the inventory squares. But I am a determined person and taking the name of the game as an instruction “I did not give up” and decided to push through playing until I had 10 mins left on the clock.

Crafting Tycoon is a cheaply designed game in which you build roads and factories, setting up an national trade network. There’s not much gameplay, and it feels like a high school final project. 3/10

I mean, yeah. It’s not the best. I read the reviews and decided to give it a shot anyway but it’s… A very simple game that is somehow very complicated, not in game design but in the way they made it, I don’t know how to make money, or what to do but. I see it has some sort of potential if they kept playing, i just hope they didnt spent 200 to put this on steam.

Dark Gravity

Dark Gravity

Shoot, destroy, collect, craft and destroy even more! “Dark Gravity” is a fast-paced, low poly vertical shoot’em up game that features non-linear campaign mode with lots of enemies and bosses. Craft new weapons, upgrade your fighter and build an ultimate aerial war machine!

After the fifth world war, there was peace in the world. For over a decade, the Grand Alliance has been leading humanity towards a better tomorrow by stifling all dangers in the bud. For some time, however, there is suspicion of a new threat that cannot be ignored.

As a member of SAF forces, your mission is to take over the Shielton base, captured by unknown rebels. No one knows who they are and what they want. What’s worse, even IMC forces couldn’t drive them away from the base because of their advanced weaponry. Weaponry out of this world. But… are those rebels the main threat? Isn’t there anything bigger behind all this? No time for questions! You must stop them at all costs!

Gameplay mechanics are very simple - destroy all enemies and try to avoid every bullet… well, at least those which can be avoided. Your special maneuver allows you to dodge normal projectiles. Even if you get hit, you will only lose one extra weapon! However, watch out for powerful bosses! They can thorn you into pieces with their ultimate unavoidable attacks!

The story mode can be completed in a few various ways. Military operations are carried out on several fronts simultaneously. It’s up to you which path you will choose. From battles high in the sky, through military bases, underground factories, collapsed mines and abandoned laboratories, to secret Arctic research facilities and the interiors of unknown civilization artifacts - you must go through all of this several times to accomplish all missions.

Every difficulty level is different. Improving your skills and fighter will help you out at facing hard and insane mode bosses, as they don’t appear at easier levels. Enemy’s layouts will change as well as their shooting patterns. At higher difficulties, you will also meet enemies that you have not met before.

Collecting drop parts and blueprints throughout the missions will allow you to unlock and craft new fighters, weapons, and upgrades. However, remember that only playing at the highest levels of difficulty will allow you to achieve a pinnacle of technology. Uncover the crafting tree and develop unique power-ups!

The Escapists

The Escapists

I nearly didn’t get this game just because of the graphics, but I’m so glad I did in the end. Despite it’s simplistic RPG maker looking surface it’s actually a very deep game

In The Escapists you go from prison to prison attempting to escape which unlocks the next prison in succession. There are 6 prisons in total which vary in style and increase in difficulty

Gameplay involves a strict schedule of showing up for rollcall (a sort of headcount to make sure no one has escaped) followed by breakfasts, work routines, exercise period, shower period, an evening meal and an evening rollcall followed by returning to your cell for lights out, with usually 2 free periods available inbetween. Later prisons have an afternoon rollcall as well

Hey, i’ve had this game for about a month now, so i thought i would share my opinions and experiences with you. So when i first saw this game i was thinking “Oh wow this is kinda neat, i might get it” so i looked up some gameplay videos to see how good it would be, and i was blown away, now i reccomend you watch Lets Play’s and other gameplay videos if you get this because if you don’t, you won’t escape the first prison, there are so many things to keep in check and so many things to do, i just highly reccomend it, so now on to the review portion…

The visuals are nice (or at least different from the usual), the combat could be nice but is badly implemented and the lack of a good UI makes it a really lackluster game (that gets repetitive really quickly)

It seems to be a Dont Starve in VR, i like the gameplay. Damn it! I died at 15st day at first time, but i want to survive more day.The BGM is better than the scene, and the katana is damn good, but it seems too powerful.I except more pretty and nicer graphic.

I was skeptical at first but this small game grew on me after awhile. As with most survival games they gave no instructions on how to play. Even with the sub-par graphics and esoteric play-style, I actually started to enjoy this game. It is frustrating if you do not know what to do, so here is my Essential Guide to get you up and running as quickly as possible:

Well, I took the time and actually watched the first 20 lessons and practiced the basic foundations of setting my industry and assemble basic military drones and research and development. Now its getting a little more advanced. i’m realizing now theirs so much more I can do. I’ve only scratched the surface. I will leave a more detailed review once i have a full understanding of the game.

I definitely recommend it.

LAVA. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. CAVES. RESOURCES. INDUSTRY.

VERY IMPRESSED! Games like this make me really hate having a job because it takes time to play.

In the months I’ve owned this game, it has undergone MASSIVE changes based entirely on user feedback. I would hardly recognize the earlier release. The U/I feels pretty comfortable now, so the reviews about the 8 view angles/fixed incline are obsolete. There is an odd quirk with the engine that makes it hard to click buttons sometimes. Also building stuff in the early game now requires significantly less clicking than some reviews suggest. The object is actually to automate, but similar to games like Factoro/fortresscraft you have to do a little manual labor at first. The units taking damage going through debris is just a part of the game… you have to actually remove debris as you dig otherwise it’ll pile up and kill your digger. There is an editor now that lets you experiment with the building components—this is critical.

That Dam Level redux

That Dam Level redux

That Dam Level is an impressive, challenging… I don’t want to say “platformer”, given that there is a minimum of solid ground, but it requires the same precision and timing skills as your Supers Meat Boy and similar games. A clever, non-infringing tribute to a painful challenge from the 80s NES era (a level where you swim through a booby trapped dam in a Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles game), your goal is much the same: swim without hitting various absurd obstacles, disarm X bombs per stage in under Y time, and don’t die in the process.

In all the time I wanted this game, I hadn’t seen any reviews here…at least ‘not in my language’, so allow me to chime in even without too much playing time: I’m already enjoying this game enough to recommend it. I thought it looked really cool, and like the visuals, and find no disappointment there. There’s some good challenge to the gameplay, it’s set up to be difficult. Think ‘Super Meat Boy’ type gameplay but more colorful…and even with some hair-pulling moments thus far, there’s really nothing unfair or overly-frustrating, plus you have PLENTY of choice for difficulty. I think the trailer gives a good idea of what to expect from the game. I’m pretty sure I got the gyst of ‘That Dam Level Redux’, and at very least can already recommend it!
